The God of Heavens
Chapter 161 Little Glutton
Chapter 161 Little Glutton
This is a magnificent ancient star, so vast that it makes one's heart tremble.
Lin Yu descended from the void, stepping onto this vast land. Majestic mountains pierced the heavens, and great rivers surged forth, winding like giant dragons, flowing for tens of thousands of miles.
The fairy peaks are beautiful and ethereal, shrouded in clouds and mist, with rays of light shining everywhere. The spiritual energy condenses into a rainbow bridge that spans the sky.
This land possesses both the grandeur of encompassing the eight directions and the ethereal beauty of a celestial realm. Majestic mountains and rivers, and a mystical, otherworldly atmosphere, blend perfectly. Every inch of this land exudes an ancient and pure Daoist charm, the essence of stars accumulated over countless ages.
"What a wonderful place!"
He stepped on array patterns, and a void passage bloomed beneath his feet. In an instant, the group traversed eight million miles of wasteland and finally sensed the presence of human habitation.
"More vast than the Big Dipper," he murmured to himself. In this world, the laws of his homeland could no longer be used to measure its extent. Perhaps it was blessed by the Great Dao that had created the universe, making this star field a realm with boundless territory.
They encountered several cultivators along the way, and after briefly inquiring, continued on their journey. After tens of thousands of miles, the number of cultivators increased, and finally, a colossal black city rose majestically on the horizon!
"How magnificent!" Jinling exclaimed.
The entire city was forged from inky black divine crystal, its dark light shimmering, like a celestial palace descended to earth. Ancient array patterns covered the hundred-meter-high city walls, each containing a terrifying power.
The city gate was bustling with activity, with dragons pulling carriages, phoenixes driving chariots, and cultivators flying through the air—a scene of great prosperity.
Lin Yu strolled through the dark ancient city, the sounds of cultivators discussing things reaching his ears from time to time.
"Have you heard? That guy named Yin Tiande is said to have defeated seven sect leaders in a row!" a cultivator in blue robes said in a low voice.
“Now, who in Luzhou doesn’t know the name Yin Tiande? Some say he has the power to be invincible.” Another person chimed in.
"It's too early to say he's invincible," an old man next to him shook his head. "We should wait until he achieves his goal of becoming a king before we talk about it. So many young geniuses have fallen at this hurdle."
Upon hearing this, a strange light flashed in Lin Yu's eyes. Yin Tiande? This name stirred some memories within him.
Jinling tugged at his sleeve and whispered, "Master, is this Yin Tiande very powerful?"
"I'd say he's an interesting person."
Yin Tiande, though a mortal, possessed extraordinary talent, surpassing even the most outstanding talents of the Ziwei generation. He entered the realm of divine forbidden realms at a very young age. If he had not lived in this era, he might have become another example of a mortal becoming an emperor.
Lin Yu chose to stay temporarily in Tianyuan Ancient City. This ancient city, with its long history, has existed for a very long time, and no one knows exactly when it originated.
The mottled city walls are etched with the marks of time, and each piece of dark crystal is imbued with ancient Taoist charm.
He found a quiet courtyard in the west of the city to stay in. The courtyard was not large but quite elegant, with an ancient tree in the middle, its branches and leaves exuding a faint spiritual energy.
Lin Yu sat cross-legged under the tree, raised his hand to open the Void Realm, and established a connection with the Yao Guang Holy Land of the Big Dipper.
Light and shadow shifted in the Void Realm, revealing the figures of several elders from the Yao Guang Holy Land.
"Holy Son, have you arrived safely at the Purple Star?" Yao Xi's illusory figure asked with concern.
Lin Yu nodded slightly: "Everything has been settled. How is the Holy Land doing lately?"
"All is well in the holy land."
Lin Yu chuckled upon hearing this: "It's good that the Holy Land is safe and sound. Without those troublemakers, it must be much quieter."
Yao Xi's illusory figure smiled, covering her mouth: "It is indeed much more peaceful. What is the Ziwei Ancient Star like? After hearing the Holy Son's description, I also want to go and see it."
"You'll be able to come when your cultivation level is high enough," Lin Yu said, shaking his head. "Not now. Your strength is too low; crossing the starry sky would be too dangerous."
A hint of anticipation flashed in Yao Xi's eyes: "Will the Holy Son establish the Taixu Realm in Ziwei? It would allow us to witness the scenery of a foreign land."
“No rush,” Lin Yu said thoughtfully. “As we’re new here, we need to figure out the layout of this world first.”
The two talked for a few more moments before Lin Yu ended the communication. The light and shadow of the Void Realm gradually faded, and the courtyard returned to tranquility.
"Master, how long are we going to stay here?" Jinling asked, rubbing her sleepy eyes as she walked out of the house.
"Let's rest for a few days first." Lin Yu turned and walked towards the private room. "Tomorrow I'll take you around Tianyuan Ancient City."
The four children perked up immediately upon hearing this, with Jin Hao rubbing his hands together eagerly: "I heard there's a restaurant in the city whose signature dish is made with dragon meat!"
Lin Yu glanced at him and said, "Behave yourself and don't cause trouble." After saying that, he went into the room to meditate and regulate his breathing, preparing himself for tomorrow's exploration.
That day, Lin Yu was strolling around the city with the four little ones when suddenly the earth shook violently, and the entire Tianyuan City began to tremble.
"boom!"
Suddenly, the void trembled violently, and a deafening roar, like the sound of a great bell, resounded throughout the entire city. The entire Tianyuan City shook, and the cultivators on the streets lost their footing.
"How is this going?!"
"Purple mist rises into the sky; what secret realm has been revealed?"
Lin Yu looked up at the sky and saw that the once clear sky had suddenly cracked open with a huge fissure. Dense purple energy, like an inverted celestial river, surged out from the crack. The purple energy contained astonishing Daoist principles, and wherever it passed, the void trembled.
"Look at the sky!" a cultivator exclaimed.
Amidst the surging purple aura, a mysterious void world appeared and disappeared. Within it, pavilions and towers were arranged in a harmonious arrangement, and a magnificent palace stood majestically, the three ancient characters "Eight Views Palace" above its gate emitting a faint glow. "The Eight Views Palace has appeared!"
The entire Tianyuan City instantly erupted in excitement. The news spread like wildfire throughout Luzhou. Countless cultivators gazed up at the extraordinary phenomenon in the sky, trembling with excitement.
"Is the Eight Views Palace finally going to reappear in the world?" An old monk with white hair was so excited that his beard trembled.
"Is this the secret realm left behind by the old Taoist priest who rode a blue ox more than two thousand years ago?" a young cultivator asked excitedly.
"Exactly! Back then, that Taoist who called himself Laozi came across the starry sky, opened up the Xuandu Cave, built the Eight Views Palace, and the purple aura stretched for 30,000 miles."
"Later, it disappeared without a trace, leaving behind only a secret realm. Many sages searched for it but returned empty-handed."
Lin Yu stood silently on the street, surrounded by the exclamations of the cultivators. Jin Ling stood on tiptoe, gazing at the sky, her small hands unconsciously gripping his sleeve.
"Master, should we go take a look too?" Jin Hao's eyes shone, and golden runes faintly flowed around his body.
Lin Yu gazed at the illusory image of the Eight Trigrams Palace shrouded in purple mist on the horizon, his mind filled with countless thoughts. As a transmigrator from Earth, he held a special affection for this Taoist sage.
The legend of Lao Tzu's westward journey through Hangu Pass has been passed down through the ages on Earth, and now we can actually see his place of practice in this vast starry sky. This opportunity is not to be missed.
"Let's go." Lin Yu waved his sleeve and led the four little ones into a streak of light, soaring into the sky. "I am an ancient sage of our Earth. We have the responsibility and obligation to ensure the continuation of this legacy."
The group traversed the void and soon arrived at the Pure Land of Xuandu. There, they saw verdant peaks, cascading waterfalls, and mythical birds and beasts everywhere.
In the distance, the pure land of Xuandu Cave stands tall with purple cliffs, where dragon grass sways and ginseng and lingzhi exude auspiciousness. A qilin is resting alone under a blue stone, showing no surprise at the arrival of people, merely lazily raising its eyelids.
"What a blessed land!" Lin Yu exclaimed. Every inch of this land contains the rhythm of the Great Dao; no wonder Lao Tzu chose to establish his Daoist temple here.
Suddenly, his eyebrows twitched slightly, and he turned to look into the distance, where several divine rainbows pierced through the sky.
"It's the Taiyin Divine Chariot of the Guanghan Palace!" a cultivator exclaimed.
A crystal chariot, pulled by nine ice phoenixes, stretched across the sky, leaving a trail of frost and snow in its wake. Seated within the chariot was a woman whose face was veiled in white gauze. Though her features were obscured, her eyes, as cold as stars, seemed to lower the temperature of the entire void.
"Fairy Yi Qingwu has personally emerged from seclusion!"
Lin Yu was also taken aback. This number one beauty of Ziwei was indeed worthy of her reputation; her beauty was enough to make the sun and moon pale in comparison. She had a slender figure, cascading black hair, and a bright red mole between her brows, making her seem like the reincarnation of the Goddess of the Luo River.
Just then, an ordinary-looking figure slowly walked over. It was a young man with an average appearance, not tall, and dressed simply, yet he made everyone present hold their breath.
"Yin Tiande!" someone exclaimed.
This mysterious and powerful young man, though lacking striking appearance, exuded an aura of unfathomable depth. Every step he took seemed to be in harmony with heaven and earth, his body radiating profound Daoist energy.
"Interesting," Lin Yu murmured to himself. This prodigy who achieved Dao through a mortal body truly lived up to his reputation.
Before everyone could recover from their shock, the roars of dragons echoed from the sky once more. On a bronze chariot pulled by eighteen dragons, an elderly man with silver hair stood with his hands behind his back, bathed in the bright moonlight, like an ancient sage descending to earth.
"He's the deputy hall master of the Human King Hall!" a cultivator exclaimed. "It's said he's over three thousand years old; he's a true living fossil!"
Most striking was the crimson sun on the eastern horizon. The Golden Crow King descended through the air, leaving burning footprints in the void with each step. As he drew near, the entire sky seemed to be ablaze.
"The Golden Crow King has arrived in person!" All the cultivators were shocked.
At this tense moment, several more streaks of true solar fire pierced the sky. Ten young men with golden hair and golden eyes descended from the heavens, each exuding heroic spirit and awe-inspiring presence.
"They are the Tenth Prince of the Golden Crow Clan!" a sect leader exclaimed. "Especially Prince Lu Ya, he can be called the number one genius of the Golden Crow Clan!"
Lin Yu observed coldly, noticing that the ten Golden Crow Princes were all radiant, their bodies wreathed in the true fire of the sun. They stood proudly in the void, their gazes haughty, and wherever they passed, people gave way.
"In this era of Dharma decline, the Golden Crow clan has reached its zenith," an old cultivator remarked. "Ten princes in one family, each a Saint Lord-level expert—it's unprecedented!"
Jinling quietly tugged at Lin Yu's sleeve: "Master, these golden crows smell so good."
The moment Jinling uttered those words, the entire world seemed to freeze instantly.
All the cultivators stared in disbelief at the seemingly innocent little girl, and even the powerful figures who were arguing with each other involuntarily stopped what they were doing.
"Insolence!" The eldest prince of the Golden Crow clan was the first to react, his eyes blazing with golden flames. "How dare you, mere ants, insult my Golden Crow clan?"
The ten Golden Crow Princes simultaneously unleashed terrifying killing intent, dyeing the entire sky crimson gold. Terrifying solar fire swept in all directions, instantly turning vegetation within a hundred miles into ashes.
Lin Yu calmly shielded the four children behind him, a sincere apology on his face: "Please forgive me, everyone. Children speak without thinking."
He paused, then a meaningful smile appeared on his lips. "How about this, would you gentlemen do me the honor of letting me try some wings? After all, the child is still young and doesn't understand."
"boom!"
These words were like a thunderclap, a hundred times more shocking than Jin Ling's earlier words. Everyone stared at Lin Yu as if he were a madman, even the usually composed Yin Tiande widened his eyes slightly.
