Chapter 224 Desert Adventure
Shi Xia followed the team back to the base with several large water buckets.

The water-filled buckets added to the weight of the car, making it slower.

The tire tracks were deep, and the soldiers driving were highly skilled, so they were careful not to get stuck in them.

On their first night back, Harry chose a sheltered sand dune for everyone to rest. They wouldn't stay up all night, just take a short break.

Of the twelve soldiers, four were on guard duty.

The desert is dangerous at night.

Shi Xia leaned against the tire with her clothes on, closed her eyes, and drifted off to sleep.

My ears twitched slightly; something was approaching.

As Shi Xia opened her eyes, the young soldier on guard duty also alerted everyone.

There was a dense, rustling sound, like the sound of living things rubbing against grains of sand, and many of them.

Everyone immediately stood up, gripping daggers and guns, while Harry and three other warriors lit torches.

Most animals are afraid of fire.

Such sounds are not from large animals, but there are many of them.

Harry made a quick decision and said softly:

"boarding."

The person near the car slowly raised their hand and carefully placed it on the door, preparing to open it.

"careful!"

With a whoosh, Shi Xia's dagger flew past, pinning an Alashan viper, almost the same color as the sand in the truck, to its vital spot. Its tongue was still struggling, trying to bite the young soldier.

Although the young soldier panicked, he remained calm and immediately finished off the viper with a backhand strike.

However, it was too late to get on the truck at that point, as dozens of vipers crawled onto it from all directions.

This is not the most terrible.

In the torchlight, countless snakes crawled out of the sand and systematically surrounded them.

Everyone was startled, but no one spoke or made a move.

They were all well-trained soldiers. They approached each other in an orderly fashion, back to back, relying on and protecting one another.

Harry calmly analyzed the situation. Something was wrong. There were vipers in the Alashan Desert, and quite a few of them, but they rarely moved in groups. To avoid competing for resources, each viper had its own territory.

Large-scale populations are unlikely to occur unless there is a shortage of breeding or food.

Even so, there won't be hundreds of results.

Harry remained calm and composed.

"Comrade Shi Xia, please find a good time to get on the truck and go back to the base to tell them about the situation here. The animals' unusual behavior means that something unusual must be happening in the desert."

Shi Xia looked at Harry.

"Go back and tell them yourself."

Harry turned around, not believing that Shi Xia couldn't understand.

Shi Xia understood perfectly. Harry was prepared to sacrifice himself. They had three antidote needles, but there were twelve people here.

They were prepared to sacrifice themselves, and sent someone back with the message.

She was considering whether or not to reveal her superpowers.

If we don't reveal our special abilities, it will be really difficult to get everyone back.

"Comrade Shi Xia, I'm the captain, you have to listen to me! This is an order!"

"Comrade Shi Xia, please cooperate with the captain."

Although the others didn't speak, their eyes conveyed the same message.

They would risk their lives to protect Shi Xia and bring her back.

This included risking one's life to clear venomous snakes from a truck.

Shi Xia smiled.

Since you're willing to risk your lives for me, let's go all out!

"Comrade Harry, I'm sorry to tell you, but if I wanted to, your position wouldn't be higher than mine, so I won't listen."

"And stop talking nonsense, I can take all of you back with me!"

After Shi Xia finished speaking, she moved.

To all of Harry's soldiers, what they were seeing was too surreal. Shi Xia kicked over a bucket of water.

The next second, all the water paused in the air and turned into countless water droplets.

The venomous snakes launched their attack the moment Shi Xia kicked over the bucket; some were even launched into the air and charged at them.

Before Harry and the others could even use their daggers or guns, the water droplets in the air transformed into sharp swords and shot out with a whoosh.

Every drop was precisely aimed at the snake's vital spot.

The venomous snake, which had been attacking just moments before, lost all its strength at this moment, fell to the ground with a thud, struggled for a couple of moments, and then remained completely still for the next second.

It's not over yet.

With a wave of her hand, Shi Xia turned the remaining water in the air into flexible "dough" and squeezed into the truck.

How does Harry feel?
No feeling!

His military instincts prompted him to act immediately.

"Back off, clear out."

Two words, eleven soldiers retreated, forming a cooperative formation, clearing away the remaining or wounded but not yet dead venomous snakes.

At the same time, Shi Xia opened the car door, and the dough, carrying a dozen or so viper corpses, came out and threw them on the ground.

Using the same method, the vipers on the other trucks were also removed.

It was at this moment that the viper, which was still some distance away and had not yet reached its attack point, suddenly stopped and even began to retreat in a panic.

Shi Xia and Harry were both observing the battlefield when they said in unison: Get in the car!

Without the slightest hesitation, everyone boarded the nearest truck as quickly as possible.

Shi Xia climbed onto the roof of the truck, which had already started moving, its wheels kicking up dust and making a buzzing sound as it drove along.

Shi Xia on the car roof completely let loose.

Now that our superpowers have been exposed, let's go!
She wanted to see what dangers this desert held!
She's just born defiant!

With a flick of her wrist, another bucket of water was drawn out, transforming into an obedient rope in front of Shi Xia, which stretched out into the distance.

Harry, inside the car, was also keeping an eye on the situation behind them. The driver and passenger worked together to find the right way in the darkness.

Everyone is striving to move forward.

As the wind blew through the summer, she could see the situation in the distance clearly.

Quicksand? Or rather, sand traps, were rushing towards them at top speed.

"Left!"

Shi Xia shouted, and Harry immediately relayed the message, causing the driver to swerve sharply to the left.

The flashing signals between the headlights prompted the other two vehicles to immediately follow suit and change direction.

Shi Xia was also very anxious.

Too late!
The sand is collapsing too fast!

Harry saw it too.

The once solid sand dunes are now like a broken funnel, collapsing in large sections and swallowing everything in their path.

The collapse occurred in any direction without any pattern, as if the entire desert was about to regrow and multiply.

"right!"

"accelerate!"

Shi Xia shouted again, and the soldier driving the car increased to its maximum speed. The water inside the car had been completely sucked away by Shi Xia and was now magically surrounding the car.

The car had really reached its limit several times during acceleration, but driving in the desert is never easy.

Not even close!
The swallowing sand was only a few meters away from them.

Shi Xia made a quick decision and jumped off the truck without wasting any time.

"Tokika!"

Harry shouted and tried to open the car door, but Shi Xia kicked it back in.

"Get in!"

Shi Xia's eyes were as resolute and determined as Harry's.

"I won't die, you all go back!"
