Chapter 239 Framing the blame
Outside the Xiakou Pass, the tea and horse trade flourished.

As soon as Gulibal finished his day's patrol and entered the gate, he smelled a rich aroma.

"What is this? Why does it smell so good?"

When Dili, who had been waiting outside the door early in the morning, saw her husband return, she hurriedly went up to take the cloak that Gulibaer had taken off. "This is a new hot pot from Sister Gu's shop. People in the south call it something like Bo Xia Gong, but I still prefer the name Sister Gu uses."

"Husband, come quickly! The pot is all heated up, we're just waiting for you!"

Gulibal changed into casual clothes, bowed to Chief Gulibal and his aunt and uncle, and then sat down, saying, "I've been coming home late these days, so please eat first, don't wait for me."

Gulibaer's aunt, Gulixining, joked, "If you don't come back, Dili won't want to eat either. Without her, the nightingale, at the dinner table, it just feels like something's missing."

"Besides, hot pot is more fun when you eat it with a lot of people."

Dorjee echoed his wife, "Yes, we have nothing to do at home, so waiting won't hurt."

Gulibaer stopped being polite and the family chatted while eating hot pot, creating a very cheerful atmosphere.

After everyone put down their chopsticks, Dorje patted his bulging belly and said, "I really want to talk to Tang Zhao about this hot pot business."

Guli Xining nodded repeatedly in agreement. Tibet is located on a plateau with extreme temperature differences between day and night, especially in winter. If one could eat a steaming hot pot, it would be a heavenly experience.

"Me too, me too!" Dilireba said coquettishly.

Chief Bone Force made the decision, "You all go, just leave the old man at home to oversee things."

Everyone agreed, went back to their rooms to wash up, and then went to bed early.

Outside the Bone Power Mansion, dozens of men in black silently killed the soldiers on guard, leaped over the high walls and entered the mansion, rushing towards the backyard.

The patrolling soldiers discovered that someone had broken in. They warned the intruder and drew their swords to fight him. However, the two sides were far apart in strength, and in less than half an incense stick's time, all the soldiers in the Bone Power Mansion were killed.

Wanqian was the first to rush into the backyard, heading straight for the largest room.

Hearing the warning, Chief Boneforce stood up and looked at the man in black who had broken through the window. While fighting, he asked, "Who are you?"

They remained silent, only launching a relentless attack.

Although Chief Bone Force was old, he still possessed considerable martial arts skills, and the two sides barely managed to fight to a draw.

On the other side, Gulibar and Dili were fighting. After killing the men in black who broke into the house, the two fought their way to the house of Dorje and his wife, only to find that the two had already been beheaded.

"Aunt! Uncle!" Dili broke down in tears.

"Don't cry!" Gulibal, fighting back his tears, stepped forward and pulled his wife along, and the two headed towards the Gulibal chieftain's room.

"Grandpa!" Seeing several people surrounding the Guli clan chief, Gulibal and Dili stepped forward to help the men in black.

"Who exactly are you people? My Bone Force clan has always been on good terms with others. Why do you want to kill my Bone Force clan?"

Wan Qian's blade slashed through Boneforce's right arm. "Want to know? Go ask the King of Hell!"

After Wan Qian finished speaking, he slashed at Gulibal with his sword.

At the critical moment, Chief Boneforce blocked the fatal blow, but the sword in his hand was cut in half.

Seeing this, the men in black all rushed forward and attacked Chief Bone Force. Soon, Chief Bone Force was covered in wounds.

Dili and Guliba were not to be outdone; the continuous battles caused their stamina to deplete rapidly, but they persevered and continued fighting.

Wan Qian clearly saw the three men's predicament. "Kill them, and I'll reward you with a hundred taels of gold!" Upon hearing this, the man in black immediately launched an even more ferocious attack.

"This can't go on, Baal. Take Dili and break through to Wuwei City to find King Xuan," Chief Bone Force killed a man in black and snatched the large sword from his hand.

"No, Grandpa, let's go together!" Gulibal said, killing one of the men in black.

"Stop hesitating, or none of the three of us will escape!" The Bone Force Clan Chief, his abdomen slashed, killed another man in black with a swift movement. "Only if you live can our Bone Force Clan take revenge!"

Gulibal took one last deep look at his grandfather, who was fighting to the death, and then pulled Dili to break out of the encirclement.

"Trying to leave?" Wan Qian sneered. "Did you ask me?"

Wanqian left the barely holding on Bone Chieftain to the remaining men in black, and stopped Bone Bal and Dili at the gate, attacking them without a word.

Gulibal took the blow with all his might, but was so shocked that he spat out a mouthful of blood.

Seeing her husband so badly injured, Dili was desperate to protect him and grabbed a long knife to stab him.

"Overestimating yourself," Wan Qian sneered, and with a backhand slash, he cut Dili's throat.

Blood gushed from Dili's neck, the knife in her hand fell to the ground, and her body collapsed uncontrollably.

"Dili!" Gulibal's eyes were bloodshot, and he fought desperately against Wanqian like a madman. His chaotic slashing caused his strength to drain even faster. After an incense stick's time, Gulibal's strength was completely exhausted, and Wanqian chopped off his head with a single blow.

As if sensing something, Chief Bone Force felt a sharp pain in his chest. A man in black seized the opportunity and plunged a knife into Chief Bone Force's heart.

Wanqian saw that everyone in the Bone Force Mansion had been killed, so he cleaned up the mess and led his men to retreat.

The next day, the people and merchants who got up early to set up stalls at the tea and horse trade market found that the market gate was not open. They were wondering what was going on and were about to go forward to check when they heard a heart-wrenching roar coming from inside.

Everyone was startled and quickly pushed open the gate to follow the sound. They found the soldiers who usually patrolled lying in the snow, but they were already lifeless.

A merchant mustered his courage and pushed open the gates of the Guli Mansion, only to be terrified by the blood and corpses scattered all over the ground.

No one dared to step forward, and they didn't know what to do, since the person in charge of the tea-horse trade was the Bone Force Clan.

At that moment, a terrifying-looking boy walked out of the door and silently stared at the crowd.

A merchant who had been traveling here for many years recognized the young man. "You, you are the youngest grandson of the Bone Clan Chief, Bone Banu?"

Gulibanu lowered his voice and said, "It's my Uncle Zhao."

"Are you alright?" The merchant looked the boy up and down. Seeing that he was not in good spirits but had no injuries, he breathed a sigh of relief. He opened his mouth but did not know how to comfort him.

How can a few indifferent words console someone who has lost their entire family?

"Uncle Zhao," Gulibar, who had been traveling far and wide and had only just returned home this morning, didn't need any comforting. He raised the long sword in his hand and asked, "You've traveled all over the Three Kingdoms and are very knowledgeable. Do you recognize who usually uses this sword?"

The merchant surnamed Zhao glanced at the knife, then hesitated, as if he wanted to say something but didn't.

The boy knelt down and pleaded, "Please speak frankly, Uncle Zhao. I, Banu, will be eternally grateful!"

"Hey, what are you doing? Get up!" The merchant surnamed Zhao said when he couldn't help him up. "Looking at this, it looks like a weapon used by the Northwest Army of the Great Yu."

Northwest Army, Prince Xuan's Residence!
Gulibanu thanked the merchant surnamed Zhao, leaped onto his horse, and headed towards Wuwei City.
