Chapter 220. First of all, I am Su Yaoyao.
Augustine's face was so dark it was almost dripping with water. He stepped forward, almost face to face with Garuda. The emperor's pressure and the wing king's cold aura collided fiercely in the air, as if invisible sparks were flying.

“Hidden? Selfish?” Augustine’s voice was deep and furious, each word seeming to be ground out of his chest.

"Lan Yi Garuda! Watch your words! Yao Yao is our lover, a partner who willingly entered into a marriage with us! The Empire gave her a home and love, not a cage! We sympathize with the plight of your Winged Clan, but that is absolutely no reason for you to forcibly break into our wedding and try to abduct my wife!"

Bai Leang also stepped forward. His usually gentle demeanor towards Yao Yao was now replaced by a sharp, icy gaze.
"The Interstellar Convention explicitly respects the internal autonomy of individual civilizations and the free will of individual lives! Wing King, your actions constitute a serious infringement upon the sovereignty of the Starshine Empire and Yao Yao's personal rights! Saving your people cannot be based on destroying the happiness of others!"

"Convention? Sovereignty? Rights?" A hint of mockery flashed in Lan Yi's golden eyes, a disregard for the rules of a lower civilization by a higher one. "When survival becomes the only question, these concepts become laughably pale. Do you think the Starshine Empire can protect her forever?"

His gaze swept over the imperial nobles present, his voice cold and clear: "Today we are the Winged Race, tomorrow we may be the Insect Race, the Sea Race, or any other race struggling on the edge of evolution or extinction!"

The energy of the SSSS-class Holy Mother shines like a beacon throughout the entire galaxy! You, Starshine, cannot protect her! The so-called marriage contract is utterly worthless before the survival of the race!

"You're talking nonsense! We sea creatures would never do anything to harm Yao Yao!" Noah glared fiercely at Lan Yi. He had finally become his sister's beast husband, and he was not about to be allowed to sow discord.

Lan Yi narrowed his eyes, watching Noah's intimate embrace of Su Yaoyao, and felt contempt in his heart. The sea tribe was really quick.

Lan Yi's words were like a cold dagger, piercing the cruel reality that Augustine and the others were trying to avoid.

Many nobles turned pale; they knew that what Lan Yi Garuda said was true.

Su Yaoyao's existence is both a great fortune and a huge trigger for crisis for the Starry Empire.

"That's no reason for you to act so recklessly today!" Augustine roared, and golden light began to gather around him.

Just as a conflict was about to erupt, Su Yaoyao broke free from her husbands' protective arms and stepped to the front.

Her wedding dress billowed in the chaotic air currents, and the confusion on her face was gone, replaced by a calm and powerful aura.

"Everyone stop."

Her voice wasn't loud, yet it strangely overwhelmed all the tension and clearly reached everyone's ears.

She first looked at her beastmen husbands, giving them a look that said, "Please believe me," and then her gaze met Lan Yi Garuda's obsessive eyes with a frank expression.

“Winged King,” her voice was calm and even, “I acknowledge that my power is special, and I am willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. This is a responsibility that I, as a Holy Mother, cannot shirk.”

Just as a glimmer of light appeared in Lan Yi's eyes, Su Yaoyao's tone immediately shifted, becoming incredibly firm, even carrying an undeniable air of authority:

"However, this absolutely does not mean that I must accept your forced plunder, much less that I need to sacrifice my love, my family, or my personal will!"

She raised her hand, and a faint, pure light seemed to flow from her fingertips. An indescribable, warm, yet vast life force rippled outwards from her, bringing a sense of comfort to all the beastmen present. Even Lan Yi Garuda's pupils contracted, sensing the power that was so irresistibly alluring to his declining winged race.

"I am an SSSS-level Holy Maiden, but first and foremost, I am Su Yaoyao." She said each word clearly, her gaze sweeping over Lan Yi Garuda, and also over all the guests present, each with their own thoughts:

“I have my own choices and judgments. How I use my power, when I use it, and for whom I use it should be decided by myself, after discussing it with my loved ones and my family! It should not be decided by you, or any other race, in the name of any ‘righteousness’!”

Her words were forceful and carried the weight of some kind of rule, leaving Lan Yi speechless for a moment.

Su Yaoyao's gaze swept over the anxious faces of her loved ones, and then looked at her concerned relatives and friends.

“I have just made a vow to spend the rest of my life with my husbands, in good times and bad. This promise is equally sacred and inviolable. Your request concerns the survival of a race, which is a heavy burden. But my love and my family are equally important to me and cannot be abandoned.”

Garuda frowned deeply, as if he wanted to say something, but Su Yaoyao raised her hand to stop him.

“So I won’t go with you now.” Her words were firm and resolute. “If you are truly here to save people, as you say, and not simply to plunder them, then please show me sincerity and patience.”

“Give me time to get through the most important moment of my life. After that, we can talk. We need to communicate and understand how my power can help your people, not to forcibly plunder them with force and a prophecy.”

Su Yaoyao stood there, dressed in a wedding gown, with her lover and family behind her, and a powerful threat from the stars in front of her. She looked so beautiful and delicate, yet so strong and full of power.

Her proposal neither completely rejected hope nor failed to firmly defend her position and happiness.

Garuda was completely stunned. He had anticipated a strong attack, he had anticipated resistance, and he had even anticipated the pursuit they would face if he immediately led his people to tear through space and leave, but he had not anticipated this situation at all.

This SSSS-rank Holy Female has the purest and warmest aura, yet possesses such a calm and powerful heart.

She doesn't seem like a treasure waiting to be rescued or fought over, but rather like a true ruler capable of making choices.

For the first time, Su Yaoyao's image was truly reflected in his cold, sharp silver eyes, not just as a "symbol of hope," but as a complete individual worthy of dialogue.

The hall was silent. Everyone stared at Garuda, awaiting his reaction. Would he maintain his firm stance, or...?

Lan Yi's fierce aura gradually subsided, and the enormous shadow seemed to lessen as well. He stared intently at Su Yaoyao, as if reassessing her.

After a long while, he slowly landed and stood still. His voice was still cold, but it lacked some urgency and had gained a hint of caution.

"...How long?" he asked. "I need a deadline. My people don't have much time to wait."
