Chapter 203. The Eternal Marriage Contract in the Deep Sea
Su Yaoyao closed her eyes, feeling Noah's presence surrounding her, as if the entire ocean was listening to their vow. She whispered in response, "With the sea as my witness, I, Su Yaoyao, am willing to journey through life with you, Noah, through calm and storm, never to abandon you."
As she finished speaking, the red and blue pearl suddenly emitted a soft light, enveloping the two of them. Su Yaoyao felt a warm power flow through her body, as if she had truly merged with Noah's life force at this moment.
The Sea Emperor smiled and announced, "The Ocean Resonance is complete. May the ocean bless you!"
Cheers erupted throughout the temple as the sea people sang joyful wedding songs, and schools of colorful fish darted around the temple, as if celebrating this sacred union as well.
After the ceremony, a grand wedding banquet was held in the Pearl Palace. Long tables were laden with all sorts of underwater delicacies, and glowing coral cups held the sea creatures' special nectar. Su Yaoyao and Noah sat in the main seats, receiving blessings from all directions.
Bai Leon raised his coral glass, his eyes filled with sincere blessings: "To the newlyweds."
Rig, Pani, and Mingye all raised their glasses, and even Little Lucia offered a toast with her specially made seaweed juice. Su Yaoyao's eyes welled up with tears; at that moment, she felt like the happiest person in the world.
Halfway through the wedding banquet, the Sea God clapped his hands, signaling everyone to be quiet: "According to tradition, it is now time for the newlyweds to perform their dance."
Su Yaoyao looked at Noah nervously: "Dancing? In the water?"
Noah squeezed her hand reassuringly: "Don't worry, just stay with me."
As the melodious conch shell music began, Noah led Su Yaoyao to the center of the hall.
His movements were elegant and fluid, as if he were one with the seawater. Su Yaoyao was a little clumsy at first, but with Noah's guidance, she quickly found her rhythm. Their dance drew gasps of admiration, and their wedding dress and gown fluttered in the water, like a moving painting.
After the dance, Su Yaoyao's cheeks were flushed, and she was a little out of breath. Noah considerately handed her a glass of cool seaweed drink: "Are you tired?"
"A little, but I'm very happy." Su Yaoyao replied with a smile, then suddenly noticed that Bai Leon and the others were being surrounded by a group of sea people who invited them to dance, and couldn't help but smile, "It seems you are quite popular."
Noah followed her gaze and chuckled, “They are indeed very attractive, but—” He leaned down and whispered in Su Yaoyao’s ear, “Tonight you belong only to me.”
Su Yaoyao's face turned even redder, and she lightly punched him: "So many people are watching."
The wedding banquet lasted until late at night. After the last guest left, Noah led Su Yaoyao to their specially prepared bridal chamber—a crystal palace made of giant seashells. The interior was decorated with luminous pearls and corals, and the soft seaweed beds were covered with the finest silk.
Noah gently closed the door, turned around and embraced Su Yaoyao: "Finally, it's just the two of us."
Su Yaoyao leaned against his chest, listening to his strong heartbeat: "Today was really perfect, thank you, Noah."
“No, I should thank you.” Noah cupped her face in his hands, his eyes filled with deep affection. “Thank you for accepting the sea tribe’s ceremony, allowing me to marry you in the most glorious way I can ever live.”
Su Yaoyao took the initiative to kiss his lips, and the two spun slowly in the water, like the most perfectly synchronized dancers. Noah's kiss was tender and lingering, carrying the coolness of the seawater and the passion of love.
When the two separated, Su Yaoyao noticed that the surrounding water had somehow formed a small whirlpool, gently enveloping them within it.
“This is…” she looked at this strange phenomenon in surprise.
Noah smiled and explained, "This is the lingering resonance of the sea; the ocean is blessing us." That night, the Crystal Palace was filled with love and tenderness. As Su Yaoyao fell into a deep sleep in Noah's arms, she had a dream—a dream in which she transformed into a mermaid, swimming freely and happily with Noah in the endless ocean.
The next morning, sunlight streamed through the seawater into the Crystal Palace. When Su Yaoyao awoke, she found Noah was no longer beside her. Just as she was about to get up to look for him, Noah pushed open the door and entered, holding a delicate seashell box in his hands.
"Good morning, my bride." He kissed her forehead. "This is a gift for you."
Su Yaoyao curiously opened the box, inside which was a pair of exquisitely crafted earrings made from the red and blue pearl. "These are so beautiful!" she exclaimed in delight.
“This is the symbol of our union. Wherever you go, you will carry the blessings of the sea people.” Noah helped her put on the earrings, the pearls swaying gently beside her ears, shimmering with a unique light.
Just then, Bai Leon's voice came from outside the door: "Yao Yao, Noah, it's time to prepare to return."
Su Yaoyao then remembered that today was the day they were to return to the Empire. Although reluctant, she knew that there were still many promises waiting for her to fulfill on land—to hold a unique wedding for everyone who deeply loved her, and to declare their love to the world.
As the group prepared to leave the seabed, the Sea Queen personally saw them off. She handed a conch shell to Su Yaoyao: "This is a sound-transmitting conch shell. If you need any help from the sea creatures, just speak to it and I will hear you."
Su Yaoyao gratefully accepted it: "Thank you, Your Majesty the Sea Emperor. I will never forget your care during this time."
The Sea Emperor affectionately patted her head: "You are now a member of the Sea Clan. You are welcome to come back anytime."
After bidding farewell to the sea creatures, they floated to the surface of the sea in specially made sea beast carriages.
Sunlight bathed them, and a gentle sea breeze caressed their faces. In the distance, imperial ships were slowly approaching to welcome them home.
Su Yaoyao looked back at the deep sea, a sense of reluctance welling up in her heart.
"You can't bear to part with it?" Noah gently took her hand, his fingertips tracing her palm.
Su Yaoyao nodded: "Although it was only a few days, everything about the sea tribe is unforgettable."
Bai Leang stepped forward, smiling as he ruffled her hair: "When we return to the capital, we'll build you an underwater garden so you can always remember this place."
"Really?" Su Yaoyao's eyes lit up, then she narrowed them slyly. "But before that, you have to help me with something else."
“What?” Rig raised an eyebrow.
Su Yaoyao raised her chin, feigning seriousness: "Of course it's your wedding! I haven't forgotten what I promised."
Pani chuckled softly, but Lucia in her arms lowered her head at that moment, secretly grieving.
He listened to Su Yaoyao excitedly discussing the wedding, feeling a mix of bitterness and resentment in his heart—he wasn't her husband yet, and didn't even have the right to attend the wedding.
Lucia bit her lip, thinking, "If only I could be Yao Yao's beast husband! When we get back to the capital, I'll have to work even harder. I need to recover my strength quickly and become a beast husband worthy of Yao Yao!"
