Chapter 177. The Return of the Underworld
Night fell as dark as ink, shrouding the world in a deep gloom.

Su Yaoyao drifted off to sleep, and in her dream, Noah's familiar figure reappeared.

His eyes were red, tears welling up in them, and he stared at her with a mixture of anger and grievance, his gaze like a thorn in her back.

Su Yaoyao's heart clenched suddenly, her memory instantly pulled back to the moment the slap landed, and guilt surged like a tidal wave, completely overwhelming her.

After an unknown amount of time, Su Yaoyao suddenly woke up from her dream, her forehead soaked with cold sweat.

All around was quiet, except for the faint moonlight filtering in through the window, casting dappled shadows in the room.

She slowly sat up. Lucia, the little fox beside her, was curled up and fast asleep.

Su Yaoyao raised her hand and turned on the personal terminal, its eerie blue light flickering in the darkness.

The call log was blank; there were no calls from Noah.

Is he still angry about that slap?
Su Yaoyao's finger hovered hesitantly over the screen, her mind in turmoil.

She wanted to call Noah, to explain, to apologize, but reason told her that Noah had returned to the Sea Clan precisely because he didn't want to see her.

Besides, it's already late at night, so making a call so abruptly...

Su Yaoyao sighed, hugged herself helplessly, and rested her head gently on her knees. She was filled with confusion and helplessness. How could she possibly resolve the resentment in Noah's heart?
Just as Su Yaoyao was immersed in her troubles, a cool aura quietly approached.

Suddenly, a pair of strong arms wrapped around her from behind, and a hand quickly covered her lips.

Su Yaoyao was terrified, her body tensed instantly, and she struggled desperately.

Her eyes widened. This person actually had the ability to sneak into the palace in the middle of the night. She hadn't heard a sound at all. Who could it be?
Just as she was filled with fear, a familiar voice gently rang in her ear: "Yao Yao, I miss you so much."

Su Yaoyao's pupils flickered, her eyes filled with surprise. It was Mingye!
At the same time, the little fox Lucia seemed to sense the danger and quickly woke up from her sleep.

Seeing Su Yaoyao being kidnapped by a strange man, he didn't hesitate. Ignoring his injuries, he leaped up like a red lightning bolt, baring his teeth and lunging at Mingye, roaring angrily, "Don't hurt Yaoyao!"

Mingye frowned deeply and raised his hand to precisely grasp the neck of the little fox that pounced on him.

Seeing this, Su Yaoyao was extremely anxious. She quickly pulled down the hand covering her lips, looked at Mingye nervously, and shouted, "Don't hurt him!"

Then she turned to the little fox and said, "Lucia, he is my beast husband."

Lucia's movements suddenly froze. A beast husband? Su Yaoyao's other beast husband…

Although Mingye loosened his grip a little, he still didn't let go. He looked Lucia up and down and murmured, "Lucia..." So it was him.

Just a few days ago, Mingye was immersed in finishing up the complicated affairs of Serpentscale City when his computer screen suddenly lit up and Noah's video call popped up without warning.

"Mingye, you must help me!" Noah's voice, which was usually somewhat cynical, was now tinged with a sob, sounding particularly urgent and helpless.

"What's wrong?" Mingye's brows furrowed instantly, and the document he was working on came to an abrupt halt. He was genuinely surprised; having known Noah for so long, this was the first time he had ever seen him cry like this.

Noah, usually so cunning and shrewd, was always the one bullying others; he had never been so pathetic before.

"My sister doesn't want me anymore! She's been seduced by a vixen and her heart has been bewitched." Noah said, wiping away tears from his face, his eyes filled with grievance and resentment.

"A fox?" Mingye repeated in confusion.

“Yes!” Noah told Mingye in detail how Lucia had deliberately dangled her fluffy tail in front of Su Yaoyao in an attempt to seduce her. His tone was as if Lucia had committed an unforgivable crime.

“He even hit me because of him! Waaah~” Noah couldn’t help but cry again, her cries sounding as if she had suffered a great injustice.

When Mingye heard Su Yaoyao make a move, his brows furrowed again, and he vaguely felt that things were not so simple.

He knew Noah's personality all too well. He had been spoiled rotten by his family since childhood, and as a prince of the sea tribe, he acted even more recklessly.

Driven by jealousy, they might do something outrageous.

Moreover, Yao Yao has always been gentle in nature. If Noah hadn't gone too far, she wouldn't have dared to take action.

Mingye: "Did you do something bad?"

Noah sobbed, hesitated for a moment, and finally stammered, "I...I crawled under Yao Yao's skirt, and then I forcibly kissed Yao Yao in the car. I also used an aphrodisiac, the upgraded version..."

At this point, Noah himself couldn't help but sigh, seemingly realizing that he had indeed gone a bit too far.

Upon hearing this, Mingye gritted his teeth in anger: "No! Ugh!" His voice seemed to carry a tangible rage, as if he wanted to pass right through the screen and teach this audacious fellow a lesson.

Startled by the shout, Noah shrank back, subconsciously pursed his lips, and muttered softly, "What? This medicine helped you before."

Mingye was stunned, and those beautiful dreams from before flashed through his mind.

Could it be that the dreams he had every night before were actually Noah's doing? He had always thought that it was because his feelings for Su Yaoyao were too intense and his desires too strong that he would meet her in his dreams.

Noah seemed to read his mind, nodded, and said matter-of-factly, "Otherwise, with your reserved personality, when would you ever catch up with Yao Yao? I'm just helping you speed things up."

Mingye sighed and shook his head, looking at him with a disappointed expression, saying, "You're just being too reckless."

Upon hearing this, Noah burst into tears again, sobbing, "I wanted to apologize to my sister, but she doesn't care about me at all. I sat sadly on the beach, while my sister was on a date with that stinky fox! Waaah!" She looked exactly like a child whose beloved toy had been taken away.

Mingye sighed heavily and asked helplessly, "How do you want me to help you?"

"I have now returned to the Sea Clan and will not be able to apply for official documents to enter the Imperial City again in the short term."

But I miss my sister so much. I regret it so much. I shouldn't have acted impulsively. If I leave, I'll be giving Lucia plenty of opportunities!
"So as a 'hairless party member,' you must help me bring my sister into the aquatic realm. I want to face her and sincerely apologize to her." Noah said, his eyes full of expectation, as if Mingye was his last lifeline.
