Chapter 582 Restlessness
Bai Wanwan had just begun to drift off to sleep in Yin Ze's warm and firm embrace when she was startled by a sudden commotion outside the camp.

The sound, a mixture of orcs' deep growls and panicked screams, instantly shattered the tranquility of the night.

She immediately opened her eyes, all sleepiness gone.

Not far away, Xin Feng had already gotten up, moving quickly, thinking he wouldn't disturb her.

But when he turned around and saw that she had already opened her eyes, he quickly gave her a reassuring look and whispered, "Don't worry, you rest first, I'll go out and check the situation."

"Okay, be careful," Bai Wanwan whispered, her gaze following Xin Feng's figure as he quickly disappeared outside the cave.

Outside the cave, the sounds of fighting were initially quite intense, but they didn't last long before gradually subsiding, leaving only some suppressed sobs and noisy discussions.

Has it calmed down so quickly?

Bai Wanwan tried to sit up, but at that moment, Xin Feng returned and quickly entered the cave, still carrying a trace of the cool night breeze.

“It was a small group of orcs who were scattered,” Xin Feng explained briefly, his tone calm. “They seemed to have been attacked on the other side of the mountain and stumbled into our resting area while fleeing in panic. They saw many foreign orcs in our group and begged to come with us to the Tiger Clan for protection.”

“I see,” Bai Wanwan sat up straight and pulled the thin blanket that had slipped down. “If they want to come, let them come.”

After she finished speaking, she fell silent, her brows furrowing slightly involuntarily, as if she were lost in thought.

Zhu Xiu silently draped a piece of animal skin over her shoulders, looking at the troubled expression on her face, and said, "Wanwan, the Beast World Continent is too vast, and there are tribes and orcs suffering every day. We have limited energy and can't manage them all."

Bai Wanwan turned her head and met Zhu Xiu's dark vertical pupils, forcing a smile: "Yes, I know. I'm not trying to save all the orcs. I'm just thinking about what kind of enemy we'll be facing next. Their power seems to be everywhere, and they can control the orcs' minds. I'm worried... even if we return to the Tiger Clan, we might not be able to rest easy."

The force behind it all seems to be plotting a huge conspiracy.

The tiger clan is safe for now, perhaps because they haven't accumulated enough power yet. What will happen when they do?
It is estimated that even super tribes will be overthrown.
Zhu Xiu stared at her intently and said in a deep voice, "After you've been settled back into the Tiger Clan, I'll go investigate..."

"No!" Bai Wanwan immediately shook her head, interrupting him.

She reached out and grabbed Zhu Xiu's arm. "You all saw what happened when Hua Han left alone last time! This time, I can't let any of you take such a risk alone. We'll face it together and figure out a solution together."

She paused, then continued to explain her thoughts: "We can't figure out the motives and plots of the hidden enemy, but we can strengthen ourselves. After returning to the Tiger Clan, we can absorb as many surrounding tribes that are willing to unite as possible to increase our overall strength."

Like a snowball rolling downhill, once it grows big enough to crush the opponent, nothing the opponent does will matter.

She also needs to hurry up and conceive several more babies to accumulate more system points as soon as possible.

Only by accumulating enough "trump cards" can she and her companions protect their cubs and the tribe's orcs when a real crisis strikes.

Xin Feng nodded in agreement: "Since Wanwan doesn't want you to take risks alone, then let's concentrate our efforts and defend the Tiger Clan and the surrounding territory. We can start building a more rigorous and efficient patrol team."

This way, a safer environment can be created, better protecting Wanwan and the babies. Seeing her concerned and anxious look, Zhu Xiu's eyes softened, and he nodded in agreement, "Okay, if you don't want me to go, then I won't go."

Once the group had reached a decision, the area outside the tent became completely quiet, presumably indicating that the intruding orcs had been properly taken care of.

Bai Wanwan looked at her companions beside her, whose faces all showed signs of fatigue. Knowing that the days of traveling and being on high alert were the most mentally taxing, she stopped talking in time and said softly, "Go to sleep early and get enough rest. We still have to travel tomorrow."

The males responded; they were strong and healthy and didn't mind being tired, but Wanwan was female and needed to rest.

As night deepened, the cave was gradually filled with the even sound of breathing.

The trek of several days was not easy.

Hua Han's condition became increasingly worrying.

His periods of lucidity were becoming increasingly shorter. What was even more unsettling was that when he was controlled by that dark energy, he was no longer merely empty and bewildered, but became abnormally agitated and extremely aggressive, emitting threatening growls from his throat and struggling to attack any creature that approached him.

Just as he nearly injured a curious fox cub that approached, Yan Lie swiftly pulled the cub away.

Zhu Xiu made a quick decision and had no choice but to take out the tough animal sinew rope to bind his hands and feet tightly and personally guard him.

Hua Han's hair, which was always meticulously combed, was now disheveled and covered with grass clippings and dust.

That handsome face, which could make countless women swoon, was contorted with struggle and some kind of inner pain, veins bulging on his forehead, and fine beads of sweat constantly seeping out.

Those beautiful peach blossom eyes, which were usually bright and full of affectionate smiles, were now a murky scarlet, devoid of any reason, filled only with the frenzy and destructive desire of a wild beast.

Bai Wanwan felt extremely sorry for him when she saw his appearance. She couldn't help but go forward several times, but Xin Feng pulled her back each time.

The animal sinew rope dug deep into the flesh of his wrists and ankles, and because of his violent struggle, it had broken the skin, causing blood to seep out and leaving glaring red marks on his fair skin.

"Hua Han..." Bai Wanwan called softly, her heart aching terribly.

"Wanwan," Xin Feng hugged her, preventing her from seeing Hua Han's miserable state, and gently comforted her, "Hua Han's condition is very unstable right now, it's best not to get close to him. If he were still conscious, he would never want to be in any way that could hurt you. With Zhu Xiu and Yan Lie watching over him every step of the way, he will be fine."

Bai Wanwan understood, but she was still very upset emotionally.

No one noticed that Hua Han, in his agitation, would occasionally raise his head, his scarlet gaze sweeping aimlessly across the surroundings. When his gaze inadvertently passed in the direction of Bai Wanwan, it would pause for an extremely brief moment.

A fleeting, almost imperceptible struggle and pain seemed to flash in that empty gaze, so fleeting that one might mistake it for an illusion, only to be swallowed up by an even more turbulent frenzy.

For several days in a row, apart from brief moments of lucidity, Hua Han spent most of her time in this torment.
