Chapter 537, please explain?

"How was it? Did you get anything?" Zhu Xiu immediately asked.

Yin Ze shook his head, his eyes filled with confusion and seriousness: "That orc was incredibly fast and extremely familiar with the terrain. I chased him all the way to a fast-flowing river, and he... he jumped in without hesitation! I circled above the river for a long time, but the water was too rapid and murky, and I never saw him resurface..."

He simply couldn't understand that kind of behavior, which was almost suicidal.

His gaze then fell on the orc kneeling motionless beside him: "What about him? Did he say anything?"

“Same,” Xin Feng shook his head and told him, “It’s like they’ve lost their souls; you can’t get anything out of them. These orcs are all acting strangely.”

After a brief whispered discussion, the males quickly made a decision: Zhu Xiu and Xin Feng would be primarily responsible for guarding the females and cubs while they rested; Yin Ze would be in charge of the first half of the night's watch and vigilance; and Yan Lie would be responsible for keeping a close watch on the strange orc prisoner and carefully observing whether he would exhibit any unusual behavior.

Soon after, Yan Lie returned and found a secluded, dry, and spacious cave.

The group quickly moved into the cave.

Zhu Xiu and Xin Feng carefully inspected and cleaned the cave to ensure that no snakes, insects, or wild beasts were hiding there.

Deep inside the cave, Shuanghua found the flattest and driest spot, spread out the soft animal hides she had brought, and gently placed the sleepy cubs on them, humming a soft tune to lull them to sleep.

The little ones nestled in Shuanghua's warm embrace, inhaling her familiar and comforting scent, and soon drifted off to sleep. Their little bellies rose and fell gently with their breaths, completely unaware of the dangers of the world.

Bai Wanwan sat down next to Shuanghua and the children, but she was wide awake.

By the faint moonlight filtering through the cave entrance, she looked at the cubs' peaceful sleeping faces. Besides worrying about Hua Han, she was also pondering those strange beastmen.

She hasn't seen many of these controlled orcs yet, but what if there are more and more?

She originally thought that the Tiger Clan under the rule of Chief Rong was a super tribe, where she, her beast husband, and their cubs could live peacefully.

But what if there are more and more orcs like this, threatening their lives?
She gently patted a small tiger cub resting on her lap, but her gaze involuntarily drifted towards the tall, reliable figures at the cave entrance.

At the cave entrance, Zhu Xiu, Yin Ze, Yan Lie, and Xin Feng sat together, the flickering firelight illuminating their solemn faces.

The captured orc huddled in a corner, being watched by Yan Lie.

“These are definitely not ordinary wandering orcs,” Zhu Xiu’s voice was low and cold. “Their condition is very similar to that of the Golden Lion Clan orcs before.”

“There’s also the self-destructive attacks of the crocodile tribe, the orcs who fled, and now these mindless orcs…” A shadow fell over Xin Feng’s gentle face. “Behind all this, there are probably things we don’t know about.”

Yin Ze nodded: "I feel... like there's an invisible net slowly closing in. And we might already be caught in it."

A suffocating atmosphere permeated the cave entrance, and the powerful males vaguely sensed that a massive storm was brewing.

Over the next three days, Zhu Xiu, Xin Feng, Yan Lie, and Yin Ze thoroughly searched the mountains, forests, rivers, and valleys within a radius of nearly a thousand miles.

They searched outwards from the valley where they captured the strange orc, leaving no crevice, cave, or dense thicket unchecked.

Yin Ze circled repeatedly in the air to investigate, Zhu Xiu carefully explored the underground and water sources with his keen senses, while Xin Feng and Yan Lie conducted a meticulous search on the ground.

However, Hua Han seemed to have vanished into thin air, leaving no useful clues or traces. Apart from the initial pool of blood, no other trace of him could be found.

On the evening of the third day, the beastmen returned to the cave where they had temporarily settled, looking tired and solemn.

Looking at Bai Wanwan's increasingly heavy body and the ever-present worry between her brows, Xin Feng pondered for a moment before finally proposing:
“Wanwan, searching aimlessly like this isn’t a solution. Your due date is getting closer, and the outside world is fraught with danger; it’s really not advisable to stay any longer. How about we send you and the cubs back to the Tiger Clan? There, the chieftain is stationed, and there are plenty of guards; it’s the safest place. Once you’re settled, Zhuxiu can stay behind to protect you, while Yanlie, Yinze, and I can come out and continue searching for Huahan. What do you think?”

Bai Wanwan stroked her high, protruding belly, knowing full well that Xin Feng's suggestion was the safest option at the moment.

Blindly searching like this is too inefficient, and she is about to give birth, with Aunt Shuang and the babies by her side.

It's really not safe to stay in the wild like this.

Moreover, as long as she generates a large number of points again, she can exchange them for the Tracking Bird again, which is the most efficient way to find Hua Han.

She took a deep breath and nodded: "Okay, you're right. Let's go back to the Tiger Clan first."

Once the decision was made, action was swift.

Yin Ze transformed once again into a magnificent phoenix, carrying the group through the clouds and flying swiftly towards the Tiger Clan tribe.

The phoenix soars high in the sky, its speed far exceeding that of running on land.

In just over two days, the familiar vast territory and the majestic city walls below came into view.

The chieftain, who was dealing with trivial matters in the tribe, suddenly heard a clear cry of a phoenix. A hint of surprise, barely perceptible, appeared in his calm and serious expression.

Without hesitation, he spoke to the other orcs, "We'll talk about this later; I have something else to do."

After saying that, he strode towards the village gate.

As the magnificent fire phoenix folded its wings and slowly landed on the wide square in front of the city gate, the chieftain rushed forward in one stride.

His gaze immediately locked onto Bai Wanwan, who was being helped off Feng's back by Zhu Xiu, and the worry in his eyes finally dissipated.

He strode up to Bai Wanwan, his tall figure exuding an invisible pressure, his golden-brown phoenix eyes fixed on her. "You're back?"

Bai Wanwan looked up and a bright smile appeared on her delicate face. "Yes, I'm back."

She stepped forward and, as the chieftain opened his arms, she reached out and wrapped her arms around his waist.

Just then, seeing their mother running over, a few of the cubs, the more mischievous ones, jumped off Shuanghua's arms and onto the ground. Their chubby bodies wriggled and they quickly came to Bai Wanwan and Qiu Rong's feet.

Two little white feet were embracing each other, and they hummed softly.

Meanwhile, the other, bolder one, had already clung to the chieftain's leg, sniffing it gently. It seemed to have caught a familiar scent and excitedly whimpered.

Chief Rong looked down, bent down and picked up the cubs, his gaze slowly sweeping over Bai Wanwan. "Explain yourself?"
