Chapter 204 1 Sleeping Together

Chapter 204 We Slept Together

In the early morning, the sunlight gently streamed through the dormitory windows, casting warm yellow hues on the ground.

An Xiaoqian arrived at Hu Xiaobei's dormitory door, inserted the key with practiced ease, and the key turned in the lock, making a soft "click" sound.

She carried a bag of fresh fruit in her hand, a faint smile on her face, and walked into the house with light steps.

I thought I'd wash the fruit first so Hu Xiaobei could eat it whenever she had time.

"He should be at the library at this time, but he's been very busy with editing lately, so he might be in the editing room."

An Xiaoqian muttered to herself, her bright eyes unconsciously glancing at Hu Xiaobei's bed.

Hu Xiaobei was fast asleep, wrapped in the blanket, his mouth slightly open, breathing evenly, with wisps of hair falling casually across his forehead.

Her eyes widened slightly, a look of surprise on her face. She hadn't expected that Hu Xiaobei would still be fast asleep in bed at this hour.

An Xiaoqian gently placed the fruit on the table beside her, walked closer to the bed, raised her hand and gently nudged Hu Xiaobei, her voice soft and slightly reproachful: "Xiaobei, Xiaobei, why are you still sleeping?"

Hearing the familiar voice, Hu Xiaobei didn't even bother to open his eyes. He mumbled, "Qianqian, let me sleep a little longer." After saying that, he tilted his head and fell into a deep sleep again.

An Xiaoqian pursed her lips helplessly, revealing a doting smile, thinking to herself, "She's usually quite diligent, why is she lazing out of bed today?"

Without thinking much about it, she simply took out some fruit and headed to the washroom.

Clear water gushed from the tap, rinsing the fruit and making a crisp sound.

Water droplets splashed onto the back of her hand, bringing a slight coolness, but her heart felt warm.

Wash the fruit carefully, place them one by one in the fruit bowl, and then take a towel and gently wipe the water off your hands.

An Xiaoqian returned to the bedside and looked at Hu Xiaobei, who was still fast asleep. A mischievous thought flashed through her eyes.

She reached out her finger and gently poked Hu Xiaobei's cheek, laughing as she said, "Lazybones, get up!"

Hu Xiaobei felt ticklish from the poking, his eyebrows furrowed involuntarily, he mumbled incoherently, and shrank his head further into the blanket.

Seeing that he had a reaction, An Xiaoqian became even more excited. She unconsciously climbed onto the bed, leaned closer and poked him several times, and pinched his cheeks and nose from time to time, feeling very pleased with herself.

Suddenly, Hu Xiaobei, half-asleep, rolled over and, seemingly intentionally, pulled her into his arms.

When An Xiaoqian came to her senses, Hu Xiaobei was already lying on top of her, muttering, "Qianqian, stop messing around, go to sleep..."

An Xiaoqian's eyes widened instantly, her pupils dilated involuntarily, and a blush suddenly rose to her ears, spreading rapidly until her entire face was flushed, as if steam was about to rise from it.

She gasped in surprise, "Oh dear, Xiao Bei, you're so heavy! Get up quickly..."

An Xiaoqian's right hand was pinned down by Hu Xiaobei, while she tried to push him away with her left hand.

Firstly, she couldn't exert much force with her left hand, and secondly, Hu Xiaobei was sleeping too soundly, pressing down on her like a small mountain. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't push him away with one hand.

An Xiaoqian called out softly a few times in a helpless voice, but Hu Xiaobei did not respond and continued to sleep soundly.

The two were very close, and with Hu Xiaobei pressing down on her, An Xiaoqian's breathing became somewhat rapid.

In this awkward and chaotic moment, her little mind was in turmoil, filled with an inescapable sense of embarrassment.

However, as her breathing became increasingly erratic, the unique scent emanating from Hu Xiaobei seeped into her nostrils and silently permeated her heart.

An Xiaoqian was startled at first, then her body trembled inexplicably, and her heart began to beat rapidly, pounding nonstop. Each heartbeat seemed to touch Hu Xiaobei's chest.

She desperately wanted to hold her breath, to stop this shameful feeling from tormenting her, but deep within her cells, a reluctance seemed to surge, and reason told her—humans must breathe. She could clearly feel Hu Xiaobei's body temperature seeping through her clothes, hot, warm, and strange, making her cheeks burn even hotter.

Her breathing became erratic and rapid, her chest rose and fell slightly, and her eyes showed panic and helplessness. She didn't dare to look directly at the sleeping Hu Xiaobei.

"He must have been staying up all night, he looks so tired."

As An Xiaoqian looked at Hu Xiaobei's tired sleeping face, her original intention to try to wake him up vanished instantly, replaced by a deep sense of heartache.

She just looked at Hu Xiaobei quietly, her thick eyelashes trembling slightly, and her eyes gradually filled with a gentle maternal glow.

Time passed quietly, and An Xiaoqian remained in this position, her body gradually becoming sore and her legs slightly numb.

Her thoughts began to drift away, her heart filled with a mixture of tension and relaxation, shyness and joy, like a dish brimming with seasonings—delicious yet complex.

Suddenly, the sound of hurried footsteps came from the next dormitory room outside the door, and one of them shouted, "We're going to be late!"

The sound was like an electric current, instantly bringing An Xiaoqian back to her senses. She frantically reached out her left hand and groped in her pocket to pick up her phone.

Upon seeing the time, she exclaimed softly, "Oh no, oh no, I'm going to miss class." Her brows furrowed tightly, and her eyes were filled with anxiety.

She quickly sent a message to her teacher to ask for leave temporarily. After sending the message, she felt a mix of indescribable emotions, including shyness and confusion. She could only sigh softly and try to stop thinking about it.

The two were in a very intimate position at the moment, and amidst a mix of complex emotions, she was gradually drawn to Hu Xiaobei's aura.

After a long while, the room became so quiet that only the two of them could be heard breathing. In this tranquility, An Xiaoqian gradually got used to this intimate position.

Perhaps because the tension gradually dissipated, or perhaps because of Hu Xiaobei's influence, An Xiaoqian also drifted off to sleep.

As lunchtime approached, An Xiaoqian slowly woke up.

As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw Hu Xiaobei sleeping on her right side. Although he was still asleep, he had turned over at some point and was no longer lying on top of her.

An Xiaoqian breathed a sigh of relief, but a strange sense of loss welled up in her heart, as if something was missing, or as if she was still longing for something.

Her face flushed instantly. She didn't dare to explore her own thoughts, and as if afraid of disturbing Hu Xiaobei, she quietly got out of bed and walked into the bathroom with somewhat flustered steps.

She looked in the mirror and saw her flushed cheeks and messy hair, a hint of indescribable shyness flashing in her eyes.

She subconsciously tidied her hair, her fingers trembling slightly, but then she inexplicably squatted down on the ground, covering her face with her hands, and making soft "hmm" sounds from her nose, which sounded like a coquettish or shy tone.

It took her a while to calm herself down and walk out of the restroom, looking neat and tidy.

Then, pretending to be nonchalant, she walked to the bedside and gently woke Hu Xiaobei: "Xiaobei, wake up, it's almost lunchtime."

The voice was very soft, carrying a hint of barely perceptible tension and anticipation.

Hu Xiaobei, having slept in, slowly opened his eyes, stretched, sat up, rubbed his eyes, and yawned, saying, "Qianqian, you're here. Sorry, I overslept."

After a quick wash, he and An Xiaoqian left the dormitory and headed towards the cafeteria for lunch.

Along the way, An Xiaoqian kept stealing glances at Hu Xiaobei, her eyes darting around, still thinking about what had just happened.

Hu Xiaobei, however, was completely unaware of this and was still enthusiastically telling her that post-production was complete and they could relax for a while.

An Xiaoqian didn't feel bored at all; a smile played on her lips, but her gaze remained fixed on him.
