I built a manor in the Middle Ages

Chapter 27 The wild boar comes out of the cave!

Chapter 27 The wild boar comes out of the cave!

Luke took a deep breath, asked Ryan to stay where he was, and ran towards the cave with the flint and straw. He crawled on the ground fifty yards away from the cave and moved towards the cave bit by bit.

When he was only twenty yards away from the cave entrance, Luc stopped and gently ignited the thatch with a flint. Then he took out a small piece of animal fat from his bosom, smeared it on the arrow, tied the burning thatch to the arrow shaft, stood up slightly, and knelt on one knee. It was already night time. He aimed his bow and arrow at the cave where snoring was everywhere. Luc held his breath, squinted his eyes and muttered silently:

"middle!"

The arrow shot out like a red meteor, and it shot into the wild boar cave.
"Ouch!"

Wild boars are accustomed to covering their caves with thatch for sleeping, but now it has become fuel for the fire. The flames splash through the thatch oil onto the surrounding hay, and the dark cave suddenly becomes ablaze!
Thick smoke continued to emerge from the cave, and five wild boars, one big and four small, came out in panic, looking like disaster victims fleeing famine.

Waves of frightened and rough cries came one after another. The four little wild boars snuggled in the sow's arms, pushing against each other to express their fear.

Almost at the same time as the wild boar sounded, Luke ran away without saying a word!

Fire is the natural enemy of all animals in nature. The frightened sow just crawled out of the cave. As soon as she showed her head, she saw Luc running frantically.

It would have been fine if she hadn't seen it, but once she did, the sow's eyes immediately turned red.

Wild boars are naturally irritable, and a sudden disaster while they are sleeping makes them even more irritable.

It didn't understand what the direct relationship was between the flames and the running Luc. It was simply furious to see that there were animals daring to wander around its territory, and it suddenly became extremely violent.

Leaving her children behind, the sow ran wildly, chasing Luc from the steep cave.

"Master! Run this way!"

Ryan climbed to the top of the tree in no time. He knew Luc's plan, but because he knew it, he also knew how risky it was. When he saw Luc's figure, he hurriedly reached out to wave and show him the way.

The wild boar was very fast. Its powerful limbs stomped on the ground, making a rumbling sound. It caught up with Luke in a few seconds.

White air spewed out of its nostrils, fangs protruded from its mouth, its scarlet eyes and cruel gaze. If Luc was hit and bitten by the wild boar, he would be half-crippled if not dead.

But when Luc raised his leg slightly and crossed a hidden grass, he suddenly stopped, drew his bow and shot.

"coming!"

Luke's eyes were slightly stern, it turned out that this was the place where the trip rope was!

Sure enough, the wild boar that was charging fiercely suddenly felt its feet stop, and then its body weighing three hundred pounds actually flipped into the air and fell heavily to the ground!

Boom!

The wild boar fell on the snow and howled violently. Luc took the opportunity to aim at its eyes, loosened the string with his right hand, and hit the wild boar's forehead with a snap.

Seeing that the arrow still missed, Luke did not feel sorry for himself and continued to run into the woods.

This time, the wild boar, completely enraged, used all its strength and rushed towards Luke.

"Ryan! Catch me!"

Luke bypassed the trap and rushed to a tree. Ryan had been waiting there. He stretched out his arm and pulled Luke up the tree. The two men huddled in the dark between the trees. After a while, the wild boar appeared in their sight.

The wild boar had a well-developed sense of smell and ran towards the tree where Luc was without any suspicion.

Besides their massive size and ferocity, wild boars are also feared for their stubborn nature. When ordinary wild animals are injured, such as being tripped by a tripwire, the pain doesn't necessarily lead to increased rage. Instead, the pain alerts their brains, causing them to become wary of the tiny Luke, even though they don't understand the connection between the tripwire and Luke.
According to the most simple laws of nature, there is no need for ordinary predators to risk getting injured in order to prey on or chase their prey. This is also the reason why the wolves retreated before - in short, it's a cost issue.

But wild boars are different.

Perhaps it is because of their special brain structure that when they are defeated by animals weaker than themselves, they will become even more angry. The pain and blood will deepen their brutality, madness will replace rationality, and their eyes will be full of bloodthirsty distortion.

It is not until they realize that they are no match for the opponent and are about to be killed that they suddenly realize their mistake and flee.

This is also the reason why Luc took the risk. Now is not the estrus season for wild boars, and he cannot play the role of a wild boar to seduce it like he seduces a deer.

If you want to lure a wild boar into your trap, you have no choice but to provoke it.

As for digging traps in the wild boar's territory, there is a high probability that they will be discovered in advance.

Winter limits the wild boars' range of activities, and we have to dig traps and wait for the wild boars to fall into the traps on their own, but we don't know how long we have to wait.

A good hunter will use different hunting methods according to the habits of different animals. This is the concept that Luc has always adhered to.

Sure enough, when the wild boar fell into the ten-foot-deep pit with a plop, the sharp wooden stakes pierced into the sow's abdomen and waist. The miserable screams echoed throughout the valley in the snowy night. Luc, who was gasping for breath due to the intense running, excitedly waved his fists.

The cry of wild boars is sharper than that of domestic pigs. They have dense black hair all over their bodies, like steel needles. The hair on the top of their heads is relatively darker. They have unusually long cheeks, deep-set eyes, and ugly facial features.

Luke and Ryan climbed down the tree trunk, surrounded the deep pit and looked down. Blood oozed out of the pit, staining the soil red. The wild boar's sad and frightened eyes met the two people's indifferent eyes. After struggling for a moment, it closed its eyes helplessly.

"Master, is it dead?"

Ryan turned and asked Luc.

'Not so fast'

Luc shook his head. The wild boar had thick skin and strong vitality, so it wouldn't die for the time being. But it didn't matter, he would finish it off himself.

"Ryan, take my sword and go drive those little wild boars back. Is that okay?"

The little wild boar was not big and seemed to have been born not long ago. It was not very aggressive. Teaching Ryan how to handle it was also a disguised training for him.

"Of course no problem, sir!"

Ryan had seen Luc's brave performance just now, and when he heard Luc's order, he naturally puffed out his chest and promised.

Ryan took the cross sword, raised the torch and walked towards the cave, while Luc used his hunting bow to shoot all the arrows at the sow's eyes and abdomen.

Every time she is ejaculated, the sow will howl in pain, but the sound will gradually become weaker as time goes by.
The wild boar skin that was riddled with holes from being stabbed was obviously no longer suitable for making a loose piece of clothing, but to be on the safe side, the best option was to let it die completely.

When the wild boar's body became visibly stiff, Luc slowly climbed down with the armed axe, aimed the axe at the sow's neck and swung it. Blood gushed out like a broken dam, and the sow died completely.

Luc dug out a few more footholds in the pit and climbed out, reuniting with Ryan who had driven the piglets back.

The weather is cold, so there is no need to worry about the sow's body rotting. It's still dark, so let's drive the piglets back to the cabin first.
