My childhood sweetheart is Nishimiya Glass
Chapter 200 Girl
Chapter 200 Girl
Three people were at the end of the line in front of the tea ceremony booth.
Shoko stood on tiptoe, peering ahead at the kimono-clad senior's fluid tea-making movements, while Ayumi, staring at the fruit in the freshman's hand, unconsciously swallowed.
Tsuna looked around, trying to kill time while waiting in line, when suddenly Shoko grabbed his sleeve:
"Tsuna, why don't you go check out other clubs first?"
She noticed that the tea ceremony club line was almost entirely filled with girls, and Tsuna was definitely getting a little bored...
He wasn't particularly interested in the fruits that could be obtained by queuing up; he figured they'd probably just end up being fed to her anyway.
"Hmm..." He looked at his reflection in Shoko's eyes, hesitated for a moment, but finally nodded:
"Hmm, I'll go check out the other clubs, and we can meet up in the art department later?"
With Ayumi Ajitani by her side and Shoko at school, nothing unexpected should happen.
It's impossible for receiving a fruit to trigger some kind of overpowered protagonist slapping face plot or something...
"Mmm." Shoko loosened his sleeve and nodded.
"Don't worry, Miyamura, I'll keep an eye on Shoko," Ayumi Ajitani said, patting her flat chest.
Tsuna nodded to her, then raised his hand, ignoring the students around him, pinched Shoko's soft cheek, and left the group.
"Nagisa, look! That first-year student has left."
At the front of the line, a girl distributing fruit to the students in line couldn't help but gently pat the arm of the slightly reserved light brown-haired girl next to her.
The girl called Nagisa glanced at the boy's departing figure before quickly looking away.
"Senior... how long will it take to send out all these? I want to go back to the drama club to help out..."
"What a pity, it looks like he already has a girlfriend."
She stared at the boy's departing figure, shook her head, and muttered something as if she hadn't heard the girl beside her.
"Nagisa, did you say something just now? I was distracted and didn't hear you," the girl belatedly asked the girl next to her.
The girl had her head down, so her expression was not visible, but after seeing her shake her head, she stopped paying attention and began to look at the students present.
--------
When Tsuna passed by the brass band club.
I stopped to listen as the saxophonist and flautist improvised a piece that sounded remarkably similar to "Gakuen Heaven" under the withered cherry blossoms.
Shoko suggested he visit other clubs, but he didn't know where to go.
But going to the art department too early would just mean waiting alone, so he might as well wander around a bit.
"Junior, would you like to join our brass band?"
Tsuna looked up at the sound and saw an average-looking senior wearing glasses walking towards him with a flyer in his hand.
Tsuna took the flyer from him, feeling its fine texture as he touched it. Looking at the various musical instruments printed on it, he asked:
"Senior, what are the requirements for applying to become a brass band club?"
The man chuckled and waved his hand: "This isn't like high school, where you can apply as long as you're interested in these things."
Seeing how intently he examined the flyer, the man thought things were looking good and quickly added, "If you join now, you'll get hands-on training from a senior member who's a third-year student."
"Thank you!"
"Slap...slap...slap...!"
As the duo finished their performance under the cherry blossom tree, the students in the audience burst into enthusiastic applause.
Tsuna glanced at the two people, then handed the leaflet back to the senior colleague beside him, a hint of apology in his eyes:
"I'm sorry, senior, I've already joined another club."
"Row."
The man didn't insist. He took the flyer, exchanged a few more pleasantries with him, and then continued looking for the next person.
After watching the free music playlist, Tsuna continued browsing. He aimlessly explored about 80% of the clubs, proving that Japanese clubs are indeed quite interesting.
Following the map in his memory, Tsuna slowly made his way to the Art Club's recruitment area.
The Art Department's recruitment booth was set up in the open corridor on the first floor of Teaching Building No. 1.
Sunlight streamed in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, casting a soft, diffused light over the entire space.
Far from the noise of the playground, the only sounds here are the scratching of pencils on drawing paper and the occasional sound of an ocarina (the background music for the recruitment of new members in the handicraft department next door).
The air was filled with the faint scent of turpentine and the woody aroma of sketch paper.
Tsuna walked up to a long table made up of two desks pushed together.
Looking at the flyers piled up on the table and the large rectangular sign next to it that read "Art Department Recruiting," along with some cute cartoon avatars decorating the area, I noticed a lot of things to see.
"Dong dong dong."
He slightly bent his index finger and tapped the table, trying to wake the girl with blue wavy hair who was dozing off behind the table, leaning against the back of her chair and hiding her face with a beret.
Seeing no reaction, he asked again, "Senior, can you read the flyers on this table?"
After waiting for a while and still not hearing anything, Tsuna unceremoniously picked up a flyer from the table and started reading it.
The leaflets, printed on kraft paper and sealed with wax, had the title in calligraphy: "Let's depict the world in the art club!" The back featured a collection of chibi-style portraits of the club members.
It looks a bit cringey, but it really fits the teenage years of Japanese teenagers.
"Tsuna, how long have you been waiting?"
"Miyamura, I'm sorry to have kept you waiting."
Just as Tsuna was engrossed in watching, he heard the voices of Shoko and Ayumi Ajitani.
"I arrived a few minutes earlier than you." As the two approached, he casually handed the flyer to Shoko.
Shoko also fed him the fruit she had received in line earlier.
She had already observed the area when she came over; there were no teachers patrolling, so this behavior was safe and wouldn't be discovered.
Ayumi Ajitani, standing to the side, 'naturally' ignored the two's actions and picked up the flyer on the table to read it.
"Is this the only senior member of the art club here?"
Shoko looked around and saw only the person in front of her who was dozing off.
The classroom behind her had its doors and windows tightly closed, and she wasn't sure if it was a classroom specifically for the art department.
"Let's wake him up and ask," Tsuna suggested.
"Isn't that a bad idea...?" Shoko hesitated.
"Senior, it's time to get up!" Ayumi Ajitani put down the flyer in her hand and immediately started shaking the girl.
The beret on the girl's face fell to the ground because of Ayumi Ajitani's movement, and only then could the three of them see the girl's face clearly.
Ok……
A-Tsuna thought that he had just an ordinary, fair face, with only two memorable moles under his left eye and on the lower right side of his lip...
His gaze lingered on the girl's face for a few seconds before he looked away.
Shoko lingered on his face for a few seconds before turning her gaze back to the girl's face.
"Okay, okay, if you keep shaking it, your brains will be shaken to a crisp."
The girl's voice was sleepy as she lightly slapped away Ayumi Ajitani's hand without any politeness, yawning and rubbing her eyes.
Ayumi Ajitani bent down to pick up the white beret that had fallen to the ground because of her movement, and patted off the invisible dust as she returned it to her.
