A farming master in Stardew Valley

Chapter 6 The Power of System Tools

Chapter 6 The Power of System Tools

The flat hoe head is connected to a wooden pole more than one meter long. It is a very common trapezoidal hoe.

He lifted the hoe high and dug it into the soil. Using the principle of leverage, he lifted the hoe handle, and a small piece of soil was turned over, revealing the fertile black soil hidden under the dry and hard surface.

Wiping the sweat from his forehead, Lyon continued to turn over the piece of land he had chosen. Seeing that the flat land had become suitable for sowing, Lyon stopped and took out the mixed seeds collected when harvesting weeds during the day from his backpack.

It was evenly sprinkled on the turned soil, and the seeds miraculously sank into the soil after coming into contact with it.

Although Leon was a little surprised by this, he was not scared. He just thought that this should be the credit of the system.

In fact, the amount of mixed seeds collected during the day was not that much. When they were scattered on the plowed land, they only occupied a quarter of the area plowed by Lyon.

But these fields were not turned over in vain. Tomorrow morning, Lyon plans to go to Pierre's Seed Store in the town to check the situation and purchase more seeds.

He put away the pickaxe and took out the watering can. It was quite heavy in his hand, but still within Leon's acceptable range.

The watering can was tilted towards the land where the seeds were already sown. Clear water fell like raindrops, and at the right time, it stopped flowing. Even if Lyon kept the can tilted, he could not let another drop of water spill out.

This made Lyon sigh. Even if someone had no farming experience, with this set of tools, they could probably easily master farming skills.

After watering the land with seeds, Lyon finally breathed a sigh of relief. He had done everything he could. After taking back the watering can, Lyon felt obviously tired.

After returning to the cabin, Leon washed his hands and face with the tap water in the sink, drank two big gulps of water, took off his coat and lay down on the bed.

He didn't feel it when he was busy, but now that he stopped, he felt how tired he was. He obviously didn't do much, but the soreness and swelling in his muscles transmitted to his brain and the drowsy mental state told him that he had over-exercised.

This made Leon unconsciously think of the physical strength setting in the game. He did not see this value on the system's personal panel, but it was undeniable that this thing might indeed exist.

This may be the price of using system tools, a lot of physical effort.

But all this seemed worth accepting to Lyon. After all, if he used ordinary people's tools to complete what he was doing today, the time and energy consumed would probably be several times more than his own.

Lying on the bed and thinking about this, Leon didn't think for long before he fell into a deep sleep at the request of his body. When he woke up again and opened his eyes, sunlight was already shining in from the window of the wooden house.

"I slept so well." Lyon got up from the bed and put on his clothes. He glanced at the watch on his wrist. It was exactly 6:15 in the morning. Lyon didn't pay attention to the time when he fell asleep last night, but it was probably no more than 10 o'clock.

It is considered an extremely healthy time to fall asleep. Anyway, when Leon wakes up now, he just feels refreshed and energetic.

He washed his face with cold water and brushed his teeth. He had already prepared some of his daily necessities, including clothes, before arriving at the farm, which saved him a lot of trouble. For breakfast, he had the pizza Gus had packed yesterday. It was cold, but it wasn't bad. It didn't taste great, but it was filling.

However, this also made Lyon plan to prepare his own kitchen. After all, he couldn't eat out every meal. His current financial resources did not allow it, and the subsequent shipment of farm resources was also a problem.

In reality, there is no such convenient storage box where one can throw agricultural products or other economically valuable goods into it and receive money the next day. Today, he has to wait for Lewis to come and ask him how to sell the products on the farm.

Lewis had not shown up at this point, and Lyon did not intend to sit idle. He left the cabin and took out the kettle to water the mixed seeds planted yesterday. Although he was not sure what these seeds would grow, it was definitely a good idea to water them once a day.

After watering the plants, Lyon felt the loss of his physical strength, but it was not much. It was probably equivalent to the physical strength consumed by jogging for about five minutes. A short rest could make up for this part of the physical strength consumed.

Lewis had not appeared yet. Lyon thought for a moment and chose to take out the axe, while setting his sights on the trees standing on the farm.

Wood is also one of the indispensable resources. Yesterday, because he was familiar with the tools and went to the town, Lyon did not consider going to cut wood. Now that he has done most of the work he can do, Lyon will naturally not miss the opportunity to clean up the farm and stock up some wood at the same time.

After finding an oak tree as thick as a bowl, Lyon grabbed the axe and chopped the trunk. The force that came back made his palm numb, and a conspicuous axe mark appeared on the oak trunk.

After slowing down a bit, Lyon learned his lesson this time. He no longer chopped with all his strength, but rhythmically used half of his strength to chop the oak trunk. This way, the recoil force would not be too great, and the marks left by the axe would be more obvious.

Until the gap had eroded more than half of the oak trunk, the oak tree finally began to tilt with the help of gravity, making a crisp crackling sound.

Lyon looked at the direction in which the oak tree leaned, came to its back, and swung the axe twice more, finally knocking it down.

The oak tree fell to the ground with a loud bang, and the moment it hit the ground, it broke into pieces of wood of the same length and size and scattered all over the ground.

“Wood (resource): A strong and resilient plant material with a wide variety of uses.”

Seeing this scene, Leon took a breath of cold air. He really didn't expect the system tools to be so powerful. He originally thought it was outrageous that the sickle could clear the grass roots buried deep in the ground through the air when it was swung.

Lyon was really amazed to find that trees chopped with axes could now be directly converted into finely processed wood. Even if these woods were sold directly on the market, no one would be able to find any faults.

This neat and uniform cutting leaves no burrs at all, and the size of each piece is basically the same. At least there is no difference visible to the naked eye. It seems as if they were finished products that have been uniformly processed in a machine. I am afraid no one would believe that they were just cut off.

Thinking of this, Leon frowned unconsciously. It seemed that he might need to be careful to conceal himself when using system tools in the future, otherwise he would be discovered by ordinary people and cause a lot of trouble.
