Chapter 191 Ice Light Dragon

Chapter 191 Ice Light Dragon
Snowflakes fell silently on the edge of the steaming hot spring pool, where Shanpao was heating mushroom soup with a copper stone and tumbling chunks of venison in the boiling broth.

General Ed's cloud-like form condensed into a dome above the pool, keeping the blizzard at bay. Beneath the icy dome, soldiers from all branches stretched their weary limbs, laughter rising alongside the steam.

The caveman huddled in the corner of the pool, his rough skin glowing a warm orange. Blind Cat was submerged, his stalagmite-shaped crown bobbing on the surface. He stealthily crept up to Shanpao from the bottom of the hot spring, scooped a piece of venison from the mushroom soup with a spoon, and stuffed it into his mouth. He was so hot that he gasped for breath, and the piece of meat fell into the pool, splashing up a wave. It was then eaten by another caveman hiding in the pool.

Pheasant quickly picked up the wine jug and held it to Blind Cat's mouth: "Boss, have a sip of goat milk wine to smooth things over!"

"You've got a good eye, kid." Blind Cat drank half a pot of wine, then poured the remaining half into the pool, the rich aroma of milk mixed with the smell of alcohol wafting through the air. "Come on, brothers, have a taste."

"Oh!"

The harpies occupied the largest hot spring, Hera's blue feathers carpeting the surface like blooming malachite flowers. Tina floated on the water, a slice of melon in her mouth, her wings lazily splashing: "Sister Hera, this hot spring is so comfortable, all the ice on my tail has melted."

Before she could finish speaking, she was splashed with hot water all over her face as a mischievous harpy used its tail feathers to whip up water and throw it at her.

"Team leader, you're being too lax! Haha."

"Ha! You little hussy, if you dare splash me with water again, I'll stuff you into a snowdrift!"

Hearing the chuckles beside her, Hera immersed her swollen ankle in the medicinal bath, and wisps of blue mist rose from the water.

"Ah!!" A harpy screamed as it flew over. "Oh no! The Master went to the cavemen's pool and didn't come to soak with us!"

"Ahhh! How can this be? I've been looking forward to this opportunity for so long."

"Form a team, form a team. Those who want to capture the Lord Father, come find me."

Wang Bufu took the stone bowl handed to him by the blind cat and drank it all in one gulp. The amber-colored goat milk wine shimmered softly in the moonlight.

"Hehe, my lord, everyone has rested well and will be back to fighting strength tomorrow."

Wang Bufu raised the goat's milk in his hand towards the sky. "I must thank General Ed for his care."

"Why thank me?" General Ed's phantom suddenly appeared beside Wang Bufu. "Everything was prepared by your people; I'm just leading the way."

“That’s wonderful.” Ed sat down next to Wang Bufu and sighed, “There was a time when my Ice Barrier Group was just like that, with soldiers and officers working together in harmony. It’s a pity that those bastards ruined it all.”

"It's alright, General. We will take back everything you've lost." Wang Bufu clenched his fist tightly. "I've already devised a complete revenge plan for you. Give me five hundred ice barrier mages and I'll tell you."

"What the heck? Micro?"

"To train means to train five hundred."

"Hey. Ice Barrier Mages are a Tier 6 Extraordinary class. Our Ice Barrier Corps has never had more than 30 at most. You're talking about 500 right off the bat. You've got some nerve." General Ed laughed. "Experience is a minor matter. The key is the talent for ice element affinity. Soldiers with ice element affinity are hard to find."

"Actually... it's not as hard to find as you imagine, General." Wang Bufu laughed: "The reason why the Eagle Kingdom can't find it is because the Eagle Duchy doesn't have much frost terrain."

In another empire, however, there are countless people with ice elemental talent.

General Ed understood immediately.

"You mean the Winter Empire? No way, the Winter Empire is much stronger than the Dawn Empire, and even the Star Empire can't compare. They have the Dragon Knight route. The people there are all noble, who would want to come to your territory?" "If you dig hard enough, you can dig down any wall." Wang Bufu laughed, "I'll think of a solution, just get good news from me, General."

General Ed pondered for a moment, then suddenly tapped his palm.

"Hey, you know what? Everyone in the Winter Empire is a dragon addict. Their fanaticism and love for dragons are ingrained in their bones and incurable."

If we could bring back some dragons, we could really put them in their hands.

Our Ice Barrier guild actually does have a Dragon Knight class path.

"Huh?" Wang Bufu was surprised: "What? The Ice Cleansing Team has a Dragon route?"

"Yes, this is our Ice Barrier Group's biggest secret."

Our Ice Barrier Legion's first commander was originally from the Winter Empire, and was even a prince of the Winter Empire. He fled to the Dawn Empire after losing the struggle for the throne.

We possess three epic pathways for obtaining dragon riders: the Icelight Dragon, the Ice Lance Dragon, and the Trident Dragon. However, we lack the means to cultivate these dragons, so we've kept these three pathways hidden, passing them down through generations of Ice Barrier Guild leaders.

General Ed thought for a moment and said, "If you can get me an Icelight Wyvern, I should be able to get you an Epic Knight."

Wang Bufu's eyes lit up.

Do it! We absolutely have to do it!
We have to do it, even if it means selling everything we own. An epic legion can crush a super legion ten times its size; the Dragon Knights can crush that tenfold. Putting everything else aside, the morale-boosting effect of the dragon's might alone is enough to make them rich.

Especially in a small place like the Principality of Bucks, having an Epic Dragon Legion is basically like having nothing to do.

The biggest problem with dragons is that they're too expensive to raise. But with the Wise King path, once my rank is higher and my territory bonuses increase, I can easily raise a few small dragons.

"General Ed, why didn't you tell me about this sooner? Where can I get the Icelight Wyvern?"

General Ed shrugged: "I don't know. If I knew, I would have already figured out how to get one. You wouldn't be in this situation. This thing is definitely a strategic-level protective unit of the Winter Empire. Forget about getting one, you can't even see it."

Wang Bufu kept this in mind. "It's alright, I'll think of a way."

If the Winter Empire were as powerful as it was when it was first founded, Wang Bufu certainly wouldn't dare to have any ideas. But now, the Winter Empire has long passed its peak.

Raising dragons has depleted their national treasury. Even sub-dragon species, which were once strictly prohibited from sale, are now being sold by members of the royal family. Things that are theoretically forbidden to sell are simply subject to insufficient regulations.

Of course, with Wang Bufu's current financial resources, he certainly wouldn't dare to dream of it. But things might change in the future.

After a night's rest, Wang Bufu's troops were all refreshed and their injuries had healed.

Taking advantage of the army's high morale, Wang Bufu decisively entered the third Frostbird Nest. This time, the Overlord he encountered in the nest was far inferior to the Frostbird, and the soldiers finished the fight before they even had a chance to fully enjoy it.

So Wang Bufu pressed his advantage, venturing into three more caves and easily defeating them all. In the four caves, he encountered Ondymis twice, acquiring two new unit types.
