Final Lord

Chapter 181 has another twist!

Chapter 181 has another twist!

An older member of the Archmage race shook his head, sighed, and remained silent. Another younger member of the Archmage race said indignantly, "These nobles are truly despicable. With the demonic tide raging, not only do they not contribute, but they also keep coming here to make sarcastic remarks."

"There's no way around it. Their ancestors were the proposers and creators of the Ondise Myth Project, and many of them joined it."

Any act of distrusting the Ondy Myth is a form of questioning them.

It's alright. We don't need to worry about them; we just need to focus on our own things.

The phantom vanished, leaving only Wang Bufu deep in thought.

"There's a problem! There really is a problem! The historical records are wrong. Most of the Magic Spirits are extremely arrogant and lazy. But a small portion of the Magic Spirits remain clear-headed."

Historians often like to use their pens to condemn entire groups of people. This is unfair to the clear-headed members of the Magic Spirit Clan.

But that's strange. If some members of the Magic Spirit Clan are conscious, then why did the Ongde Mystery still fall into their trap?

Wang Bufu once again commanded his troops to lure the monster.

The starlight runes in the Magic Library trembled, and the corpses of the third wave of Frozen Soul Birds turned into ice crystals that condensed into a vortex in the air before being sucked into the Magic Library.

Wang Bufu raised his hand to block the biting cold air rushing towards him, and through his fingers he glimpsed twelve illusions of the Magic Spirit Clan arguing fiercely around an ice-blue vertical pupil.

"The master of the Eye of Chaos must be destroyed immediately!" The elder mage who was recording the data swung a spellbook with a loud clatter.

"These are the bite marks left by the Devouring Worms as they gnawed on the Abyss Sealing Techniques, proving that their strength has increased to the point where they can break through the Magic Library."

Only legendary power could accomplish this. A legendary monster must have emerged from the depths of the demonic tide.

"You don't mean to make us use the Annihilation Codex, do you?" The Archmage, leaning lazily against the floating tea table, caught the ice core and tossed it aside, saying, "Activating the Annihilation Codex requires thirty days of our afternoon tea energy quota. Who will replenish the missing energy?"

"What kind of time is this to be worrying about energy rations!" the young Archmage roared, waving his sleeves. "Haven't you noticed? The Chaos Eyes in your hands are reverse-analyzing the Magic Library! They're generating monsters with corresponding special abilities!"

The Falconers on the rattan chairs were utterly disdainful.

"Tch, so what? Less than a tenth of the books in the Magic Library have been revealed so far. Even if they were to analyze them, they wouldn't be able to break through the Magic Library's defenses."

Where is the legendary monster you're talking about? I can't find it.
So you people always make a mountain out of a molehill. It's just a damaged magic book, right? Just get another one, that's all. Why bother me over such a small thing?

"You! You bastard!" The young man was indignant and picked up his weapon, ready to strike the arrogant fellow with his staff.

But his staff was held in the hands of an older member of the magic spirit race.

"You need evidence to activate the Annihilation Codex, is that right? Fine! I'll personally go to the depths of chaos and retrieve the evidence. I hope that when I bring it back, you'll keep your word."

"Teacher! No! It's too dangerous!"

"Sage! Think twice!" "There are legendary monsters around; if you go, you may not come back."

"The Eye of Chaos is already enough evidence! He doesn't acknowledge the Eye of Chaos, and even if you bring back new evidence, he still won't admit it."

Upon seeing this, Wang Bufu understood the old man's identity. The other party was likely the renowned Sage of Magic, Dionpus, from the history of the Magic Spirit Clan.

He proposed magical theories such as the duality of elements and rune algorithms, laying the magical foundation for many new professions.

Such a famous figure was actually just a little old man looked down upon by the nobles of the Faling Clan. Wang Bufu truly hadn't expected this.

“Enough. It was my point of view, and I will prove it myself,” Diumps said in a deep voice. “Those who wish to come with me, go back to the warehouse and retrieve the Secret Black Robe. Those who do not wish to come with me, may wait for my triumphant return at the fountain.”

As soon as Diumps spoke, the expressions of all the Fellings standing on his side turned serious.

They summoned the vines together, mounted them, and headed to the warehouse.

Just then, Diumps pulled out a black robe from somewhere and put it on!
"The spark needs to be passed on. The future of the Magic Spirit Clan depends on you. I'm sorry, children."

Wang Bufu gasped.

Diumps deceived his followers. He was going to do the most dangerous work himself, and his followers were clearly unaware of this.

The illusions continued as Diumps headed toward the Magic Library, preparing to jump off the city wall.

But just as Diumps's hand was about to touch the outer wall of the magic library, the spellbooks on the wall suddenly burst forth with crimson runes, and the entire library's defensive magic array twisted and reversed as if corrupted by chaos. Thirteen jet-black chains shot out from the "Annihilation Codex," instantly piercing the elemental core in the sage's chest!

"What?!" Diumps coughed up icy elemental blood, turning around in shock to see several nobles emerge from the shadows. Their liquid robes were now tinged with a murky grayish-purple, and the shimmering magic circle patterns on their cuffs perfectly overlapped with the shape of the Eye of Chaos.

The leading nobleman toyed with the ice-blue vertical pupil, its diamond-shaped opening pulsating with frenzied purple flames: "What a perfect plan. It shouldn't have had any flaws. But Diumps, why did you have to hinder us?" As he spoke, he suddenly shoved the Eye of Chaos into his mouth, a sharp, metallic screech erupting from his throat.

The Archmage who had devoured the Eye of Chaos convulsed violently beneath his skin, his rainbow crystal mage hat flipped over by the swollen tumor. Hundreds of transparent tentacles sprouted from his neck, each tipped with a miniature vertical pupil, and the torn chest of his robes revealed a matrix of proliferating ice cores!
Instead of being alarmed, the other nobles rushed towards the fragments of the Lesser Chaos Eye that had burst from their companion's body, like mad hyenas.

"You...you...you've thrown yourselves into chaos!" The dying Dionpus used his last bit of magic to condense an ice crystal dagger and hurled it at the central core of the Magic Library, only to have it shattered by a thunderstorm cloud automatically generated by the library.

The sage wanted to issue a warning, but the confused believers wouldn't give him the chance.

His body gradually turned into scattered elemental dust as the chains churned, but the hidden black robe was eternally frozen in the suddenly rising ice, like a silent signpost pointing to the truth.

With a wave of his hand, the chaotic believers shattered the ice crystals into countless frozen soul birds, and the truth of history was also shattered, turning into dust unknown to anyone.

Wang Bufu took a deep breath. The shock in his eyes had not yet faded.

So that's how it is! The Onde myth is not about falling into pride and sloth, but about falling into the trap of cultists!
Who exactly covered up the truth of history and erased the traces of these cultists?!
