Chapter 406, Finale: The Power of Building Demolition

Let me tell you a story, a story that happened a long, long time ago.

When the flight carrying the special passengers took off, the projected dragon did not actually appear on Earth. The flight simply crossed the ocean and headed to its destination as usual. The only problem was that one of the passengers, an ordinary young man, disappeared without warning before the plane landed.

He crossed.

He time-traveled because he was struck by a cell phone from outer space at that time, a phone with the power to transcend worlds.

However, after being struck, he did not actually arrive in any other world. Instead, after leaving Earth, he drifted aimlessly in the void of the oceans.

Alone, drifting forever.

There is no concept of time in the void seas, and as a result, all of this is almost eternal.

Until a certain moment.

That skeletal form, suspended in the void of the seas, dreamt a distant dream. And in that dream, a world built upon the foundation of memory was forged.

The Orbis universe was thus born.

Unconscious babbling and subconscious thoughts transformed into the primordial nothingness and existence.

Padome and Anu were born from this, and gradually shattered and fell in the evolving dream. When the distant dream gradually materialized from its framework, the Holy Spirits and Demons of Mondas completed the original steps of the world's creation.

Yet the dream continued, the dreamer's fragmented thoughts continued to collide and reconstruct. When the mythological era evolved into the Fourth Age, these fragmented thoughts finally formed an ordered entity once more. It was a composite structure containing both the breath of the Holy Spirit and the blood of the Demon God. It was a seemingly ordinary Brightonian, and this Brightonian, at an opportune moment, opened his eyes…

"So, that's how it is?" Wu Chen looked at the face before him, identical to his own, and spoke with a scrutinizing gaze devoid of any doubt or agreement. "From the very beginning, Wu Chen = Dust, which is Anu = Padome. I am the Dragon of Time, and also the Serpent of Space. And the so-called interdimensional projection phenomenon is merely some side effects of my awakening?"

“It’s not a side effect.” The individual who looked exactly like Wu Chen shook his head. “You can call it a special effect, or a stage effect. When Anu Padomé shattered in the impact, a part of its concept was violently thrown outwards into the universe, creating numerous otherworldly projections themed around ‘dragons.’ This can also be understood as a celebration held by the multiverse for a newly born Supreme Being.”

"Part of it?"

"Yes, only a part. The other part settled down and became the main material for shaping Wuchen=Dasster. So even though it was a collision between a dragon and a snake, in the end only the dragon's projection scattered everywhere. Because the snake part remained and became the main structure of the human race."

So, I'm actually a snake?

“You can understand it that way,” the person with the face of witches replied.

It turned out to be the case.

Wu Chen nodded.

“A very interesting story,” he commented. “But unfortunately, it’s just a story.”

"You don't think this is the truth?"

“It could be, it is possible, but I don’t think so.” Wu Chen looked at it and suddenly smiled softly. “Perhaps everything isn’t so complicated. Perhaps the past is the past. I haven’t started multiple cycles and am still in the primordial state of rising. And now, I’m stuck at the last step before fulfilling the original contract.”

“I am neither Anu nor Padomé. I have merely arrived in their realm, not become them. And the magic I created has thus reached its perfection—the magic to become anyone, to accomplish anything. And as agreed, I will infuse it into the phone, and then throw it outward.” He looked at the phone in his palm; his magic was being poured into it. And with his actions, the face of the person he was speaking to blurred once more.

"The spell I infused fulfilled the needs of this phone that only had the ability to travel through time, turning it into an operating system that didn't originally exist. It gained the ability to exchange and purchase, and could interact with the user. And this ever-changing spell, which has been pushed to its limit, chose the identity of 'friend' for itself."

He looked at it, at his 'friend'.

Once detached from a single universe, time loses its meaning. Before becomes after, cause becomes effect. The function that should have appeared when Wu Chen threw the phone naturally manifested easily at the moment he acquired it. And the self-generating elemental spirit spell he set up only had this one chance to redefine its existential structure at the moment of 'creating itself'.

The story could come true, and the result would be that Wu Chen would be stopped at the Space Serpent stage, while his friend would become the Time Dragon. The two would merge into one, still a great being capable of autonomously transcending the universe. Only this sublime achievement would have an additional owner to distribute it.

"What a pity." The friend shook his head regretfully. It lost its first and only chance, and so it disappeared from the moment of its birth before Wu Chen's eyes.

It can only be an operating system now.

Wu Chen glanced at the phone, which had been imbued with magic; he knew there were still some trivial matters to attend to.

He now knows the truth: he could be the creator of the interdimensional projection, but he wasn't. This is because he had only reached the level where he could manually create interdimensional projections, but he hadn't actually done so yet.

The interdimensional projection was created because great beings like him wanted to explore other universes. He would meet them sooner or later, and now he could explore other worlds in a much more convenient way.

So he stretched out his hand forward.

His hand reached out from the world of Mondas, from the universe of Orbis. Its structure shifted upon touching the Void Seas. His pure silver limbs synchronized with some of the properties of the Void Seas at that moment, and a new world came into his view.

A nameless world, a ruined world. In an abandoned city where no one lives, rows of dilapidated buildings stand.

He reached out his hand towards one of the buildings—

The next moment, that building vanished from the universe from the very beginning. It had never been built, never existed, and never been known by any living or dead being. Because all the concepts, information, spacetime causality, and cause and effect that constituted it had already fallen into the hands of Wu Chen, who was still in another universe.

"A circular building exploding... does this count?" Wu Chen withdrew his hand, and the concept of the destroyed building coalesced in his palm. A Desert Eagle pistol with an unlimited bullet effect was created, and then, as a gift, he placed it into the phone that was about to be thrown.

These were the last trivial matters. Then, the phone, now equipped with an operating system and a newbie gift, crashed down on the head of a young man at the other end of the void, a young man whose head hadn't yet heard the ringing of the phone. He quickly covered his head in confusion and decided that in a few days he would abandon everything and, following the guidance of the ringing in his head, board a plane and go abroad.

The task that needed to be done is now complete.

So next...

He glanced at the world Hera Morrie inhabited. This exceptionally gifted witch had gained the opportunity to traverse the universe because of her encounter with him. In that respect, she was no different from him, having been hit by a cell phone.

Perhaps she can achieve something great. And even if she doesn't, he'll still go and help her out.
