—They were a group of monsters.

Wu Chen thought to himself.

He had many predictions in his mind before he pierced through the clouds, but when the ruins of Valyria were clearly in his sight, he realized that all his previous predictions were worthless fantasies.

He saw the giant beast, which resembled a dragon but was not, flap its wings and rise up like a wild animal guarding its prey.

He saw the city's 'operational' facade fade, revealing countless inhabitants, seemingly human yet not quite, wielding sharp blades, and beasts with massive jaws covered in scales, horns, and fur howling towards the sky—all armed, their eyes gleaming with bloodlust and madness. And that seemingly real human settlement was, in essence, nothing more than sulfur bubbles rising from a volcanic lake.

No one lives here, and there is no city here.

They were just a pack of bloodthirsty, crazed beasts, entrenched on the ruins of what was once a city.

“…I clearly sensed the power of the dragon.” Wu Chen sighed. He had anticipated this, but he had originally hoped that this trip to Valyria would end peacefully.

Yes, peace. He chose a time when the enemy's main force was likely weakened. He would use his own imposing presence to subdue them, preventing them from wasting their manpower and resources on futile resistance. Ultimately, he would reclaim his lost possessions, without coveting even a single gold coin or any other treasure. And if this interaction could end peacefully as he desired, he would then reward the other party as much as possible afterward.

Consider it warehouse rent, or storage fee for lost items.

However, now, the only thing that can happen between the passersby and the monsters is to fight each other.

"Hao—" Melusin let out a joyful shriek. After confirming that Wu Chen didn't intend to stop her, she pounced on the rapidly rising guardian dragon—her considerable stats made up for her lack of experience and skill. With just one interaction, the guardian dragon in the volcano screamed in agony, its scales and boiling blood raining down.

She can win.

But she was only able to win this match relatively easily.

Because just as she was tearing apart the flesh of this guardian dragon, thirteen other guardian dragons flew out from thirteen other volcanoes and were heading in this direction!

The immense, surging wind even forcefully pushed aside the deep red clouds in the sky, scattering them in all directions.

He has demonstrated his power.

However, he received no reply.

The dragon's oppressive aura had no effect on the inhabitants of Valyria. The next moment, he saw those beasts, neither human nor beast, dwelling in, or rather, entrenched in the ruined city, rushing towards him, their javelins and arrows falling even before he could.

It feels like I've arrived in Fam Yazra.

These humanoid creatures do indeed bear a resemblance to the orcs of the Ring of Law. And Wu Chen has now confirmed one fact—either the Valyrian king took all his rational subordinates with him on his expedition, or, from beginning to end, only one intelligent being survived in this ruined kingdom.

The incoming arrows and javelins were all bound in mid-air by a vast and dense network of psychic energy, then spun back towards the hand that had thrown them. A sharp, piercing sound and a beast's roar erupted, yet Wu Chen still couldn't detect even the slightest hint of intelligence within them. A pity.

He looked up at the sky, his form becoming even more like Milmonir's at that moment. The unique power belonging to Mondas partially reappeared, and he then let out a dragon's roar.

“Strun-Bah-Qo!!!” [Storm-Rage-Thunder]

The banished clouds gathered once more. And within the crimson clouds, countless blazing bolts of lightning leaped forth!

A thunderbolt struck.

They tore through the air, landing precisely on all living creatures of any height—Melushin, who was telepathically connected to Wu Chen, had already reverted to human form and landed on the ground in the instant. The dozen or so guardian dragons that had attacked this area were thus all wounded in the lightning storm!

They wailed, they fell.

Even after being struck down by the thunderstorm, they continued to roar loudly, desperately climbing towards the direction of Wu Chen.

"Lilith." Wu Chen reverted to his human form.

The demon swordswoman, who was perched on his back, leaped down gracefully, the blades on her toes drawing brilliant, cold light. She chuckled as she charged into the horde of beasts that were rushing in from all directions, and immediately, a large number of severed limbs flew in all directions.

They could not resist her.

Her strength and speed far surpassed those of all of them.

Even if there are one or two particularly unusual species among them—

Wu Chen lowered his raised hand.

A newly infused Earth-elemental Destruction Ball has struck a threatening, hidden target.

"That's all?" Wu Chen raised an eyebrow slightly.

He looked up at the sky, sensing the atmosphere. The surge of magic and the changes in space within the area were clearly reflected in his eyes. However, even now, he had not sensed a single trace of magic tide from the north, nor any spatial disturbance caused by the teleportation.

The owner of this land has already abandoned everything here. Or perhaps, it's too busy to do anything at all.

Could it be the latter?

Wu Chen thought about it, but quickly stopped thinking about it. He stood there, waiting for the teleportation fluctuations for a full five minutes. And when he was finally sure that no one or anything would come from outside Valyria, he raised his hand and made a gesture out of thin air.

Countless fragmented souls gathered in his hand, originating from the shells of those ferocious beasts—lacking reason, they clearly lacked complete souls. Even using superior resurrection magic, it would be difficult to effectively recreate them.

Whatever.

They can't be reborn, they can't be resurrected, but at least they can be used as materials.

Wu Chen closed his five fingers, and these shattered souls transformed into a tiny crystal. With this impromptu project complete, he also had a way to deal with this land.
