Chapter 299 The Quick Path to Integration

Chapter 299 The Quick Path to Integration

Jon Snow made a wrong guess. He thought that Witchwood would turn King's Landing upside down. Because he didn't actually know what Witchwood wanted to do; his understanding of Witchwood was limited to the 'passerby' Witchwood had mentioned.

But Wu Chen was more than just a passerby—as he roamed this land at will, he also sought to retrieve his lost belongings. Furthermore, he disliked letting things become too chaotic; order held value for him.

So, how can the war between the seven kingdoms be ended as quickly as possible?

The answer is simple: invoke the king who caused all this strife and personally endorse him. This way, the two royal powers on Stormlands and Dragonstone can be easily suppressed. As for the duchies with rebellious intentions, Jon Snow will handle that.

Time is thus saved.

The spell, powered by the power of will, thus took effect—in the descending radiance, the chubby king returned from the brink of death, and Wu Chen even added his own touch to the reshaping of his body.

The obese body regained its robust strength. Muscles and power returned to the body.

The dead king raised his head.

"By the Seven Gods! This is fucking awesome!" He sat up abruptly, gulping in mouthfuls of fresh air. His bewildered eyes darted around, yet his demeanor naturally exuded the majesty and composure of a king.

"Where's Cersei? Where did that bitch go? I'm going to snap her neck!"

He already knew the secret; he didn't die empty-handed. On the eve of his death, or perhaps afterward, he finally learned what his queen had done to him. At least, he knew why he had run into that wild boar.

No one answered him. He frowned sharply. His keen gaze then shifted, and the bloody thing, resembling a wrung-out rag and wearing a crown, came into view.

He fell silent for a moment.

He raised his head and looked at the blood-stained throne. His gaze then swept over Melusin and stopped where Wu Chen was.

"Oh..." the king groaned. "It's better that you're dead. It's a pity I didn't do it myself. Alright, alright, you're the one who fished me out of that dark place... Tell me, what do you need me to do?"

He's a wise and shrewd ruler. Wu Chen nodded.

“There are indeed things that require your attention. Your kingdom needs unification, your people need protection. And…” Wu Chen looked at the king, who had regained his strength and power, and nodded slightly.

"Here's another gift for you."

The truth was revealed before the king. In that instant, he learned of his queen's infidelity and the Lannister family's various ambitions. He learned that none of his three children were his biological offspring, and that almost all of his bastard children who truly inherited the Baratheon bloodline had been eliminated by Cersei!
"Vicious woman!"

"Lannister!"

Knowing the truth, the king harbored no doubt whatsoever; he immediately roared in fury. His gaze upon the corpses of Cersei, her brother, and Joffrey held no trace of longing or regret, only utter hatred and venom!

"Bring me my hammer! I'm going to smash them to dust!"

His roar echoed throughout the palace, and the astute Varys immediately snatched a warhammer from the guard's hand—the chief eunuch respectfully handed the warhammer to Robert. But before actually striking, he hesitated at the raised hand of the witch.

Hiring a king requires paying a fee.

The best reward he could offer was a personal act of revenge.

And so, radiance surged forth.

The fifth-tier resurrection magic activated once again.

Within the manifested pillar of light, the bodies of the three dead were reconstructed. And in the next moment, they all opened their eyes. Life and death were merely playthings in one's hands; if Wu Chen had understood this sooner, if he had learned this lesson earlier, he probably wouldn't have made so many suffocating mistakes in the past. But now…

He shook his head.

The three resurrected individuals looked at each other, and upon seeing Robert, each displayed a different expression. Some were confused, some were bewildered, and some looked terrified.

Wu Chen simply waved his hand and, with Meilushin in tow, temporarily moved out of the palace.

“It’s up to you. You decide their final outcome,” he said.

On the eve of his departure, he saw a terrifying, sinister smile spread across the king's lips. Then came a series of sharp screams, wails, and the sounds of crushing and shattering. About half an hour passed before silence returned to the throne room.

The king received a reward.

He sat at the base of the Iron Throne, even dirtier than when Wu Chen had left. Guards around him were scrubbing the horrific remnants of the ground, occasionally punctuated by suppressed retching.

"What should I call you? Should I call you sir?" Robert toyed with the slightly slippery hammer, raising his head slightly.

“Dasster.” He received a reply.

“Very well, Dust. Dust.” The king nodded. He stood up, his spine cracking.

“Speak,” he said, his voice possessing the regal strength of a king. “Don’t talk about unifying the country and protecting the people; that’s what a king is supposed to do. But you’ve given me a second chance, so I have to give you something in return.”

It's interesting.

However, it is indeed true.

"I want two things from you."

“If I have it,” Robert waved his hand. “If I don’t have it, I’ll find a way to get it.”

“There’s no need. They’re all in your hands.” Wu Chen shook his head. Cause and effect must be sorted out. “The first thing I want is the dragon bone from the dragon’s lair, and some treasure that might be located in the dragon’s lair.”

“The entire dragon's lair is yours.” Robert shrugged. “You can take the whole mountain with you.”

"Secondly, I want the Iron Throne."

Robert scratched his head, somewhat confused. But anyway, he was willing to offer any reward.

“Here, take the crown,” he said. “Damn, so what am I supposed to be now? Lord Baratheon?”

“I don’t want your crown, I don’t want your throne. I want the Iron Throne, the chair itself. Not anything it represents.”

“I see.” Robert breathed a sigh of relief. “Then take it. Hmm… anything else?”

"That's all, go on with your work."

“Very well.” The king nodded and strode out. As he walked, he shouted loudly, searching for his dearest friend.

"Ed! Where the hell have you been, you bastard! Get your ass over here and help me right now!"
