It wasn't until the battle axe shattered Ramaya's head that the vampires realized they were under attack—their counterattack was instantly drowned out by the swords of the Ebony Heart Treaty. These monsters, who in the original history might have inflicted some damage on the expeditionary force, were now unable to stir up even the slightest ripple.

Ramaya's power was thus weakened to the extreme.

"We will become the dream keepers, monitoring and sealing its dream realm for all eternity, ensuring it can never escape. And our Shattered Shield family will be eternally under the supervision of the Holy Spirit Church. If even the slightest transgression occurs, my descendants and I will embrace death without hesitation!"

Her announcement was met with thunderous applause, for she had already made significant contributions to this campaign. One group of Holy Spirit followers, in particular, stood up unequivocally in support of her.

“Standal will witness your oath, and in the name of the Holy Spirit, we will witness the Shieldbreaker family fulfilling its covenant.”

They were clad in cloaks, their weapons gleaming. They were followers of Standalone, and centuries later, they would become its protectors.

They signed a covenant—and they kept their covenant.

For centuries afterward, the Shattered Shield family continued to fulfill their duties admirably—no one among them fell, and not a single one was seduced by Ramaya's delusions. Because they originated from Leme, they possessed from the beginning Ramaya's strength and resistance, and only the bloodline of Ramaya could not be seduced by any bewitching arts.

Wu Chen arrived on the day the otherworldly dragon was projected. He stood at the edge of the dream, watching Ramaya's futile efforts, which were tightly sealed within the dream—the dragon's descent was an established fact that even the dragon's destruction could not change. Morag Bal did not receive any news about the otherworldly dragon.

The turmoil in Windhelm thus became a mere neighborhood skirmish—Hera had no reason to intervene, merely helping Wunfis resolve the issue of the 'Butcher's' false accusation. Callisto, the owner of the Treasure House, was identified, having become the crucial sacrifice for the Necromancer's Amulet before harming Frigga. And when news of the High King's assassination arrived, only scattered whispers echoed through Windhelm.

There was no rebellion, no fighting. The small-scale disturbances were quickly suppressed by the Stormcloaks's military might. Although the projections of the Others still appeared and caused some casualties, they were all silenced by the Stormcloaks's battleaxe strikes.

Peace, stability. Windhelm City was destined to remain unchanged.

So, in the end, only one question remains.

Because Dragon Break doesn't modify the past—the effect of Dragon Break is that the new and old world lines run in sync.

While the Dragon Break caused by Wu Chen stealing the power of the Demon God created a timeline where Windhelm was peaceful and the world was safe, the destruction of Windhelm and the fall of hundreds of thousands of souls into Cold Harbor, the resurrection of Ramaya, the defeat of Milmonir, and the gaze of many Demon Gods toward the East—a timeline where a chaotic war between gods and demons was about to begin—still existed.

“I still have one more thing to do, one last thing.” Wu Chen returned to the Demon God’s throne, raising his head to gaze at the torrent of death—Morag Bal had paid a heavy price in the attack of Death God Akai. Even so, it still reached out its hand towards Wu Chen. It was about to touch its target, and Wu Chen had no chance of escape. But even though he could no longer leave Annihilation Harbor, there were still many things he could do.

“I command you,” he said, his will echoing beneath the dark skies of Coldharbour. “Release those souls, let those souls abducted by Morag Bal return to the land of Nirn.”

His command was relayed to Annihilation Cold Harbor. And this realm of the Demon God responded at that moment to him who had stolen the Demon God's power. All the souls killed, plundered, and dragged into Cold Harbor during the chaos in Windhelm City cheered with joy, freedom returning to them. And they couldn't wait to leave, returning to their bodies that had been restored to wholeness due to the overlap of timelines.

The overlap of world lines was thus further exacerbated. The intact Windhelm replaced the ruined Windhelm, and hundreds of thousands of the living replaced hundreds of thousands of the dead. Because souls were the most precious treasure of the inhabitants of Nirn, and they possessed sufficient mass to act as a counterweight to overwhelm the incompatible world line.

They stabilized.

Everything changed into the way Wu Chen had hoped for.

The destruction of Windhelm will become a distant dream, silently flowing in the hearts of the survivors. And those who survive in the New Dragonbreak timeline will soon completely forget this nightmare.

They survived.

Everything became as if nothing had happened.

Wu Chen thus fully utilized his last opportunity to act. And since he was already unable to leave the throne, he naturally could not escape the clutches of the demon god.

The demon seized him—the demon's other hand was still struggling against death.

Those deep blue eyes, like the ocean abyss, stared at him, and an unimaginable terror, torment, and ravaging sensation gripped Wu Chen's heart at that moment.

"I've got you." The demon god's voice echoed in Wu Chen's ears like a booming bell. "Now, offer up all your secrets."

Its words possess power.

Its voice has a dominating effect.

However, before that power could operate successfully, Wu Chen gave a mocking smile.

He didn't do all this just to provide Morag Bal with door-to-door delivery services. He was acting this way because he had certain connections.

“Come back,” he said.

There's no need to raise your hand, no need to mobilize your strength, and strictly speaking, there's not even a need to speak.

He only did one thing.

He simply recalled his body, which had been armored backwards by the Grim Reaper Akai, and the scythe that carried the power of the Grim Reaper, back to his side.

The next moment, the Grim Reaper, who had been blocked by the Lord of Conflict at a great cost, appeared out of thin air around Wu Chen, just inches away from the Cold Harbor protective barrier!
