Chapter 26 Guanyin Became Angry

Sitting on Kunlun, holding the precious lotus, he controls the rules of heaven and earth.

Guarding the peaches, illuminating the three realms, and commanding the female fairies of the three realms.

But his South China Sea is very barren, so what can he offer as a return gift?

"I wonder if I have anything here that can compare with the goldfish given by the Queen Mother!" Guanyin Bodhisattva thought for a long time, but still couldn't figure out what he had that could catch the Queen Mother's eye.

Seeing Guanyin in such a dilemma, the Queen Mother shook her head slightly and said, "It's not that I've set my sights on anything, but I've been sitting on the high platform for so long in recent years that I haven't looked down. Now that the Conferred God Tribulation is complete, all the gods have their hearts set on him."

At this point, the Queen Mother's expression grew more serious. "Once you gain divinity, you lose your humanity. If you remain detached from your emotions, the three realms will be at peace."

"Although the gods may not be motivated by selfish desires, they must also have a sense of justice and love. Otherwise, Ksitigarbha would not be able to achieve the perfection of a quasi-saint. Do you think what I say is right, Bodhisattva Guanyin?"

"Of course it's right!" Guanyin nodded slightly.

"That's it. Now that the four continents are under our control, the human race has provided countless incense to the gods and Buddhas in the sky, and we should be blessed by them."

"In recent years, the Gongcao has reported to the heavens several times about the situation in the four continents. Dongsheng Shenzhou has many spiritual meanings because of the existence of the Son of Fortune, and many creatures live in exceptional harmony."

"There are countless monsters and spirits in Northern Juluzhou, but thanks to the Nine Heavens Demon Slayer Patriarch, it is relatively peaceful."

"The Southern Continent is where the most people from the acquired world have settled. The Jade Emperor has also entered this region in reincarnation, so he pays close attention to it. Although there are wars, they are kept within a reasonable range."

"As for Xiniu Hezhou, with the Buddha in charge and the ancestor of earthly immortals, it's quite prosperous. However, the creatures here are too ferocious and mostly feed on human flesh, causing the human race to suffer."

"Today I am giving Guanyin this goldfish, which is destined for Buddhahood. This is because the Bodhisattva is well-known for her compassion in the South China Sea, and is praised by the people for her ability to save people from suffering. Therefore, I would like to ask Guanyin Bodhisattva to speak to the Buddha and take care of this matter."

Guanyin understood clearly that the person in front of her was here to plead for the human race in Xiniu Hezhou.

"The Queen Mother's words make this poor monk ashamed! It's not that I don't want to help, it's simply that the Buddha is a tranquil being and doesn't want us to interfere in these matters."

"Although the creatures of Xiniu Hezhou aren't as intelligent as those of Dongsheng Shenzhou, they are also quite spiritual. They divided their territories long before the Conferred God Calamity ended. Now, they all seem to be under the command of the Buddha, but in reality, they all have their own rules."

"If we interfere too much, we will violate the laws of nature. Moreover, although the creatures eat human flesh, they only eat the elderly and weak humans who are about to die."

"Is that so?" The Queen Mother was silent.

Guanyin said it bluntly, the Buddha of Xiniu Hezhou is now allowing this kind of thing to happen, to put it simply, he doesn't want to care.

The Queen Mother was about to say something else, but was interrupted by Guanyin.

"Queen Mother, the calamity of the journey to the west is about to begin. These things will help the Buddha's disciples to understand their minds and see their true nature."

The Queen Mother snorted coldly, and realized her true nature. To put it bluntly, it was this Buddha from the West who began paving the way for future Buddhas thousands of years ago. These monsters will be subdued by the Buddhas in the future, and this can be regarded as a way to accumulate merit.

"Thousands of years of human suffering, all for a chess game that was already known. Is this the answer that Guanyin Bodhisattva gave me?"

Bodhisattva Guanyin remained silent.

"In that case, consider my request for a return gift as a joke. Bodhisattva Guanyin, please don't take it to heart."

"Thank you, Queen Mother, on behalf of the Buddhist community!"

"There's no need to thank me. From now on, the Celestials will be my pawns. I hope the West can bear the consequences of this. Don't regret it later. I've done my utmost to be kind and righteous."

After the Queen Mother finished speaking, she stood up and walked outside.

Bodhisattva Guanyin wanted to keep her, but the Queen Mother disappeared without a trace, as if she had never been there.

"Thank you, Queen Mother!" Guanyin Bodhisattva bowed in the direction the Queen Mother left. Guanyin Bodhisattva looked at the water basket in her hand. The goldfish swam slowly in it, carefree and harmless.

Guanyin made a hand gesture and said: "Thus I have heard!"

He listened carefully to the cause and effect of the goldfish. It was so clean and pure, and the Buddhist charm in it was extremely pure. Guanyin had only seen it in the Buddha.

In other words, the Queen Mother really wanted to use this goldfish with a Buddhist connection to pray for good causes and good results for the human race in Xiniu Hezhou.

"Mu Zha, put this goldfish in the pond and take good care of it. You never know when it might come in handy!"

Bodhisattva Guanyin handed the goldfish to Mu Zha, who took it without hesitation.

"Great love? Dizang is just trying to gain merit and become a saint without the Hongmeng Purple Qi. How can there be any great love or righteousness?"

"Queen Mother, you are merely the ruler of the three realms of female immortals, possessing only temporary authority. How could you truly believe that you can show universal love and bless all living beings?"

Guanyin kept murmuring.

Suddenly, I heard the sound of wind chimes, which then spread out, like the sound of leaves rubbing against each other. It turned out to be the lotus under me giving out a warning.

"Am I angry or foolish? How could this be?" Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva looked incredulous.

Not to mention that every word the Queen Mother said just now was full of great meaning, the fact that she gave the Buddha's goldfish to herself in the end, without asking for any good cause, was already a great kindness.

How could I be so dismissive of such kindness, even showing contempt?
If the lotus platform had not been spiritual and interrupted his thoughts at the critical moment, Guanyin Bodhisattva had reason to believe that he would continue to extend along with this thought.

Gulp! Bodhisattva Guanyin swallowed subconsciously.

"Namo!"

Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara concentrated all his attention and tried to trace the root of his troubled mind.

Finally, he saw it. He saw the goldfish and realized that its Buddhist affinity was purer than that of the Buddha, and he felt jealous.

"It's just a spiritual goldfish, but it actually makes me jealous. I'm really scaring myself!"

Bodhisattva Guanyin sat cross-legged and began to meditate.

"It's just a goldfish that might have a chance to transform. Even if it has a deep connection with the Buddha, its lifespan is only a few thousand years. To become a quasi-saint in this Dharma Ending Age is extremely difficult!"

"If you want to have greater opportunities in the future, you must live to that time first. Unfortunately, transforming is only the simplest level. Only by living forever can you have the opportunity to seek true Buddha fate."

Bodhisattva Guanyin sorted out his thoughts over and over again.

Finally, I calmed down and fell into a deep state of meditation.

Mu Zha also happened to put the goldfish into the lotus pond.

The goldfish seemed to like this place very much and swam around in the lotus pond non-stop. Mu Zha couldn't help laughing when he saw the goldfish like this.

"If you really have the secret of immortality, maybe we can become brothers in the future!"
