Chapter 86 Remarks on the launch
More than a month of new book season has passed, and new books are about to be on the shelves.

I was too busy in the past few years to write books, and I didn’t even have time to publish all the manuscripts of "Rebirth in the Entrepreneurial Era".

I finally had some free time at the beginning of this year, but I was a little uncomfortable at first. The book "School Beauty" was written when I was free and I felt like writing.

Urban rebirth novels are my personal favorite genre. I always feel that this type of novel has a special layer of immersion compared to other types. In addition to being exciting, it makes me think more: "If I could go back in time, what would I do? What could I do? What could I change, reverse, or avoid?"

So I couldn't help myself and wrote about the theme of rebirth.

Writing this book was very stress-relieving for me. If the stress-relieving index of reading is 10, then the stress-relieving index of writing is at least 80 for me. I sat in front of the computer and wrote without stopping, and as I wrote, I wrote words.

After writing more than 500,000 words, I had the idea of publishing it, so before the Spring Festival, I found Yi Suo, who gave me a lot of help when I wrote "Rebirth in the Perfect Era". Yi Suo also gave me a lot of valuable suggestions. After some revisions, I decided to publish the book after the New Year.

When I wrote this book, my mindset changed a lot from the previous two books, so the setting of the protagonist is also very different from before.

Li Mu is a programmer who was mediocre and died suddenly from overwork. He was dissatisfied with his past life, so he had a clear goal from the first moment of his rebirth. He just wanted to change his fate and make a name for himself. He was so eager to succeed that he wanted to do everything and do everything to the best of his ability.

As for Xu Yiyang, the protagonist became a successful small boss before his rebirth. He and his wife had a deep relationship. After his rebirth, he was obsessed with pursuing his wife and also had a clear goal. However, in terms of his character itself, his career ambition was much weaker than Li Mu's.

As for the current Chen Cheng, the protagonist is set as a diamond bachelor with a calm mind. Before his rebirth, he was in a self-satisfied comfort zone and even chose to lie down in the comfort zone. Therefore, he is a bit decadent after his rebirth and has no strong desires and pressures to drive him in a short period of time.

It may also have something to do with my own state when I have free time. I happen to be in a period of confusion in middle age.

Some readers have commented that the plot of "School Belle" is rather scattered. This is because within the book's central plot, the protagonist's rebirth lacks a clear driving force: no single goal to make money, or to pursue a particular career, find a particular person, or become a certain person. Chen Cheng's rebirth is more like a wandering urban life, a mild loss in the world of 2002, before gradually finding his purpose and direction.

Because Chen Cheng does not have a strong driving force and purpose, he meets different people every day, has more or less contact with some of them, and different things happen with different people. Many of them unfold one after another within a period of time, so the plot is not written very focused, but nested.

This may be like the difference between online games and sandbox games. Online games have a fast pace, a clear main line, and a strong sense of urgency in tasks. They will allow players to concentrate all their energy on a task in a certain period of time until they succeed, and then move on to the next task and the next map.

Although sandbox games also have tasks, the world is open, so you don’t have to rush to level up, fight monsters, or complete tasks when playing. Many times, I prefer to explore every corner of the game world.

So when I was conceiving the plot of this book, the characters and events in my mind didn't just line up one after another. It was more like what Xu Wei sang in his song: "Many things happened naturally without me having time to think about them."

I don’t know if this way of writing will be accepted, but the outline has been laid out and the beginning of more than 500,000 words has been completed alone, so I can only do my best.

In addition, some people say that the plot is old-fashioned. Since I haven’t written a book for so long, I may not be able to keep up with the current trend. So let’s just treat it as an old school style urban rebirth novel!

If I have more personal time in the future, I will study more and strive to keep up with the times in my next book.

Finally, it’s on the shelves. I still ask for genuine subscriptions. I will update 20,000 words today as a token of my respect. Please subscribe and give me monthly votes!
