Do you all know the future?

Chapter 52 God Advent

Chapter 52 God Advent
Blood acts on the spell, and the spell, which gathers evil energy, reacts violently, like water meeting sodium.

"What did you do?"

Duke Ryan tried to break free, but found himself stuck to the blood mist and unable to escape.

The incantation was crumbling, and a deep-seated fear arose in Duke Ryan's heart, as Diane's blood dispelled the evil energy.

“You’ve fallen for their trap. If I’m not mistaken, this magic array is not only a divination array, but also an array to conceal evil energy. If this array is destroyed, people outside will soon notice what’s going on here.”

Despite being infected by the poison, Isabella still forcefully activated her blood magic to control the beast-like Duke Ryan.

"When did you two discuss this? There were no spiritual energy fluctuations, did you just kiss?"

Duke Ryan suddenly realized something; the two were passionately kissing, which could transmit information without the external flow of magic, because it was transmitted internally.

“That’s right! Your patience has given us an opportunity. We’ll chat right here in front of you, Ryan. Surrender now, or the demigods will be watching.”

Having just observed the nodes of the magic circle, and thinking of the power of Diane's Holy Blood, Isabella had a plan in mind. However, she couldn't tell Diane, as transmitting her voice would require magic and would definitely arouse Duke Ryan's suspicion.

So she devised this plan: to provoke Duke Ryan with actions and words, thus creating an opportunity for Diane to disrupt the formation.

"Let go? You make it sound so easy. How can I let go if you're not dead? The Stuart family was attacked by cultists, the Duchess and her lover were killed, and the Duke's son went missing. What do you think of this script?"

Duke Ryan forcefully tore open the blood mist barrier, letting out a sinister laugh. Seeing that the formation had failed, his anger was ignited, and he laughed in extreme rage.

At this moment, he couldn't care less about why Diane's blood could disable the formation; he needed to kill Isabella first so he could cover up his lie.

"You are hopeless!"

Isabella's tone turned cold as she stared at the werewolf's outstretched claws, seemingly unfazed by the impending death.

"I don't need anyone to save me, on the contrary, you need someone to save you. No one can save you, ah..."

Without any hesitation in his fierce eyes, Duke Ryan was about to strike Isabella with his sharp claws when he suddenly let out a painful scream and collapsed in front of her.

Isabella also felt a sense of oppression and a deep palpitation in her heart. She was very familiar with this feeling; it was when Diane awakened.

"Teacher, let's go!"

Behind the fallen Duke Ryan stood Diane. Isabella saw golden blood gushing from Diane's wrist, dripping onto the stunned Duke Ryan.

Duke Ryan was emitting blue smoke as his golden blood clashed with and dissolved the fel energy. He let out a shrill scream, his body writhing like a nematode touched by alcohol.

As planned during their kiss, after destroying the magic circle, Diane fled to seek help, while Isabella held off Duke Ryan.

But Diane realized Isabella was in danger. Seeing Duke Ryan brimming with evil energy, she tore through the blood mist barrier, slashed her wrist, and splattered blood on Duke Ryan. The burst of spiritual energy shocked Duke Ryan.

"You should run away quickly, you can't control him for long!"

Isabella noticed that Duke Ryan's bestial features had dissipated, his ferocious claws had degenerated into arms, and his body hair had turned into skin under the stimulation of blood. Isabella had a vague idea.

"Such rich spiritual energy, such terrifying blood, golden blood! What is your relationship with Queen Greta?"

As the guess came true, Duke Ryan transformed completely from his werewolf form back into a human. He slowly stood up, terribly weak, but his tone was full of relief.

"Does becoming human mean one is immune to the harm of holy blood?"

Seeing that Duke Ryan had completely shed his beast form, Isabella pulled Diane aside and shared her thoughts: Holy Blood is effective against fel energy and dark magic, but not against normal people.

"Holy blood, Queen Greta's son? No wonder you, Isabella, are so protective of him! I see, I see!"

Duke Ryan covered his head and burst into laughter, as if he understood everything; he knew of Isabella's adoration for Queen Greta.

"Teacher, you should go. Go find Margaret!"

Diane felt dizzy from blood loss, and for a brief moment, only Isabella could help her.

"I can't leave. I've already used up all my magic power. If I could, I would have killed him when he wasn't paying attention!"

Isabella tore off strips of cloth to bandage Diane's wound, a glint of light flashing in her eyes.

"Margaret, your maid angel? I'm afraid she can't save you!"

With his clothes torn to shreds, Duke Ryan staggered as he drew his decorative sword and slowly approached Diane and Isabella.

"What happened to Margaret?"

Diane tensed up. Margaret hadn't arrived yet after so long. Had she encountered some danger?
“Setting up a spell might keep an angel-level expert from getting out for a while. You should worry about yourself. Your maid won’t come to your rescue. Even an angel-level maid can’t protect Queen Greta’s son.”

Duke Ryan answered every question. He had made arrangements, and if he didn't show off, who would know he had made arrangements, and how could he have made Diane and the others despair?

He wouldn't say he was fully prepared today, but he had a basic plan; he had considered both the maid and Isabella.

The maid did not follow him into the banquet; he used his backup plan, and the maid should be trapped by the spell at this moment.

"I also have to thank Queen Greta for her fall, otherwise I wouldn't have heard the Lord's call. So how should I deal with you? Queen Greta had so many enemies. If I sacrifice you, the whole Abyss will be happy."

Duke Ryan staggered, like a drunkard, his steps uneven. Looking at Diane's pale face, he said with some excitement, "Sacrificing Diane to the evil god would please any evil god. He's just being suffocated by Queen Greta."

"Was it Holy Blood that you gave Bridget yesterday? No wonder she was corrupted by fel energy but is perfectly fine today. It must be the effect of Holy Blood, the bane of fel energy. I spent a long time choosing the ingredients to poison her today, just in case you still have an antidote."

His trembling appearance made him seem as if he could be blown over by a gust of wind, but Isabella sensed from the rising aura emanating from him that he was an angel-level powerhouse.

While not as strong as her werewolf form, she was indeed an angel-level powerhouse. Isabella herself felt completely empty inside, her magic power completely depleted.

"Did you give Bridget some?"

Diane tilted his head back. He was being held in Isabella's arms, who was bandaging his wounds with both hands and didn't react much.

Diane, who had been relieved to hear that the maid was safe, was indifferent to Ryan's threat. It seemed that this was not the first time he had faced danger. However, he was surprised to hear that Bridget had drunk the holy blood.

"I'm sorry, I lied to you. I didn't want your good intentions to be wasted, and I was also afraid that you would give me another bottle of blood, so I assumed that I drank it. Actually, Bridget was possessed by fel energy yesterday, and in order to save her, I thought of your holy blood!"

Isabella saw Diane look up in surprise, and the embarrassment of lying made her turn her face away. She had considered that Bridget might let something slip and that it might be linked to this, but she hadn't expected it to be exposed under these circumstances. "This, this..."

Isabella, you didn't drink the holy blood, so why didn't you resist when I kissed you?

Diane felt a sense of dread as she recalled yesterday and today: the beautiful woman's proactive kisses and his entanglement in the warehouse. All of this implied that Isabella had drunk the holy blood and was now telling him.

I didn't drink it!!!
Diane didn't know how she felt. She was in a daze. Even though she was anemic, her heart was still pumping blood to her brain and cheeks.

"It's good that we've talked it out. There are no more secrets between us now. My little lover, it's my fault that you're like this."

Holding Diane in her arms and kissing her forehead, Isabella gently apologized.

"No, no, I'm hiding something from you. Holy blood actually has a brainwashing effect, making the drinker develop a mindset of following the faith. I didn't have good intentions when I gave the holy blood to the teacher!"

Isabella's honesty made Diane feel uneasy. These might be her last words. Diane confessed the effects of the Holy Blood as if in repentance!
"Haha, Isabella, this little thing isn't a good person either. Did you hear that? He actually tried to manipulate you with the Holy Blood."

Standing three or four steps away from Diane and Isabella, he heard their conversation and let out a mocking laugh, scoffing at Isabella's gaze.

"It's okay, I like it even if you're a little bit naughty. I was wondering why you suddenly became so bold. It turns out you're fearless because you don't need the Holy Blood. I like you. I was a little conflicted before, but I'm not now."

Isabella chuckled, her high nose rubbing against Diane's forehead in an affectionate gesture.

"He lied to you, Isabella, he lied to you just like I did, he wanted to hurt you, and you forgave him?"

Duke Ryan seemed to find it hard to accept, his tone full of doubt as he asked Isabella why.

"He confessed to me, and I accepted it, so that's fine. Is there any other problem?"

Isabella would probably have been furious under normal circumstances, but since Diane was so frank, she was naturally magnanimous.

"So all you have to do is confess?... Adulterous couple, you two scoundrels, you should both die!"

Duke Ryan muttered something, then flew into a rage and swung his decorative sword at the enemy.

"I'll keep him occupied this time, you must escape!"

Isabella pushed Diane, whom she was holding, away, and a burst of blood mist erupted from her body. The blood mist entangled Duke Ryan, but unfortunately, Diane was short of blood and collapsed after only a few steps.

Isabella didn't know how much time she could hold out. At that moment, she hoped that the maid was truly an angel and would come to save Diane.

Isabella didn't hold out for long. Flames erupted from Duke Ryan's body, and blood mist billowed. His eyes were filled with anger and a hint of unspoken jealousy. He angrily raised his sword, ready to finish off the completely soulless Isabella.

As if hearing her prayer, a beam of light lance slanted in to block Duke Ryan's sword, followed by several more beams of light lances. Duke Ryan was forced to retreat, putting distance between himself and Isabella.

He looked in the direction of the attack and saw the maid standing on the large window, the wind blowing up her long skirt, holding a light gun formed by divine magic in her hand.

"How did you get here? My two spells are not connected, so how did you escape!"

Duke Ryan's angry face turned to surprise as he looked at the maid at the window—yet another unexpected turn of events!
"No comment. I have no interest in telling the enemy how I escaped his trap."

The maid jumped into the room through the window. After she stopped, she came to Diane's side, helped Diane up, and used her magic to heal Diane's wounds that were wrapped in a silk scarf.

With the little mermaid already there, the solution is brute force, without any fancy tricks. The poor, weak, and helpless mermaid is a skilled fighter.

"You won this time, but you won't be so lucky next time!"

Duke Ryan glared at Diane with hatred, then slowly walked towards the unconscious Loran. Analyzing the situation, he realized that with the maid's arrival, killing Diane was no longer an option.

Tudor could no longer stay in this situation, so the only option was to retreat and then devise a plan. The best course of action was to retreat with Lorraine.

"Sorry, there won't be a next time!"

With a light gun gathering in her hand, the maid, having finished treating Diane's wounds, was now ready to settle scores.

Several light guns condensed, and Duke Ryan sensed the danger. He no longer cared about Loran, took out a piece of parchment from his pocket, and tore it up. A faint blue light emanated from his body.

"Then you can keep me here and see if you have the ability."

Ryan regretted not taking action earlier. Why did he have to show off in front of Diane and Isabella? He should have just killed them sooner.

Are you sure it's a teleportation scroll?

The maid held a light gun in her hand, with light guns floating behind her, ready to attack at any moment, but she was in no hurry and waited quietly.

"You're an angel, after all. Don't you recognize a teleportation scroll? It's imbued with divine power to protect people from the battlefield and return them to the temple!"

"Isn't this the last time? Why don't you let me stay!"

Ryan felt a sense of security in the dim light. After another failure, he desperately needed to regain his confidence, even if it was just the mentality of escaping in victory.

"The power of the gods doesn't just flow into teleportation scrolls; there are many other scrolls as well. One of them is called the Divine Descent Scroll. I don't know if you've heard of it!"

The maid remained calm and said that Ryan couldn't leave today, and Ryan simply couldn't leave today!

"Nonsense! Why would the Lord give me a scroll of divine intervention? What use would a scroll of divine intervention be to me?"

Duke Ryan proudly raised his head. He wasn't going to listen to the maid's nonsense; she was just trying to make him uncomfortable.

“I’ve seen quite a few when I’ve accompanied Queen Greta to deal with cultists. The cultists would confidently pull out teleportation scrolls, but in the end they would use séance scrolls. They look similar, but one is you leaving and the other is Him coming.”

"After all, in the eyes of the evil god, believers who fail in their plans are worthless. If they fail once, they will fail again. Why keep helping a useless person? Believers are not husbands."

"Let's squeeze out all the remaining value and turn it into a container for arrival. It's a good way to reuse waste, and the compatibility is perfect..."

"You're talking nonsense, it's impossible, it's impossible..."

Duke Ryan didn't believe it, and his body slowly began to transform into a beast again, growing fur and claws.
