Chapter 150, Page 149: [The Golden Body of the Arhat]
All the evil spirits in the world are born from the combined power of human thoughts and the spiritual energy of heaven and earth.
A solid form is sculpted by spiritual energy, and human thoughts gather, transforming illusion into reality, and then the spiritual energy is endowed with special power.
The mental energy that Chen Sheng condensed in his hand was the material he used to create the Great Sun Tathagata Buddha's aura.
Of course, as the absolute core of the ninety-nine auras of Buddhism, the true power of the Great Sun Tathagata's Buddha aura cannot be cultivated by simply using incense and prayers.
In order to reach the minimum requirement of refining qi, one must condense a bit of the Buddha-nature of the Great Sun within this thought.
Buddha-nature is the true nature, the inherent completeness of the mind, the origination of the Dharma realm, the true reality of all things beyond words and forms, an enlightenment arising from the heart, and an inconceivable truth.
It cannot be thought of, for "the moment a thought arises, it is contrary to the truth; the moment the mind moves, it ceases to exist."
It is beyond discussion, for "to speak is to err, and words are to be utterly inadequate."
Cultivating Buddha-nature is inherently a very difficult thing.
It took Baima Temple a full thousand years to cultivate ninety-nine different Buddha-natures in the Eight Treasures Merit Pond for reincarnation.
However, everyone has their own expertise. Under the influence of the [One Qi Creation] talent of the [Gang Sha Celestial Master], Chen Sheng only needed a moment to refine the illusory mental power into something real, creating a bit of the Great Sun Buddha nature.
It was like a golden-red sun suddenly appearing.
The power of thought in Chen Sheng's hands shone brightly, rising slowly like the morning sun, scattering its radiance and illuminating the world.
The Buddha's light shone on the demons in the lake mud, and they stopped chanting Buddhist scriptures, raised their heads, and let the Buddha's light shine on their faces and pupils.
This light is not emitted by magical force, but is a manifestation of Buddha-nature, capable of reaching the depths of the hearts of all beings.
The demons only glanced at it, but felt boundless light shining down from above and from the depths of their hearts, giving rise to various insights.
Many demons were immediately converted by Buddhism, transforming their demonic power into Buddhist power.
The remaining unconverted souls, whose originally turbid souls had become clearer, had fewer impulses driven by primal instincts.
Their understanding of Buddhism in that short time was far more profound than that of those who had been imprisoned by the Qing dynasty for decades and preached the Dharma every day.
Even those who had reached the fourth level of enlightenment felt a subtle stirring in their hearts under the Buddha's light, as if the dust that had accumulated in their hearts for many years had been swept away, making their Buddha-hearts more transparent and free.
Chen Sheng, however, had no time to pay attention to these trivial matters.
He raised his head, guided the Great Sun Buddha Nature into his spiritual platform, and then absorbed the blank Qi in his hand into it.
A crimson flame ignites in the spiritual platform, using the spiritual platform as a furnace to allow the Buddha-nature and the vital energy to come into contact and slowly forge a true Great Sun Tathagata Buddha's vital energy.
When it was first born, the image of the Qi was a large, golden-red sun, without any trace of the Tathagata.
This is because within this powerful energy, the sun is the true reality, while the Buddha is an illusion.
When all forms are not forms, one sees the Tathagata.
However, the wondrous state of non-form and formlessness lasted only a moment. As the protective energy was imbued with Chen Sheng's aura, it immediately transformed into a rounded, golden Buddha seated on a lotus platform. The face of this Buddha was none other than Chen Sheng's, while the great sun floating behind it radiated thousands of auspicious rays.
The Great Sun Tathagata sat serenely amidst the myriad powerful and malevolent energies of the spiritual platform, instantly becoming the center of the entire world.
"Great, only one more order left."
Looking at the Buddhas in the spiritual platform, Chen Sheng shrunk the Yin spirit that had merged with his physical body and also put it into the spiritual platform.
Then, he slapped his forehead with his backhand and began to use [Snatching Aura and Seizing Evil] to peel away the Qi that was fused with each Yin Spirit particle, pulling out a golden stream of Qi.
Only when the fusion between the end of the Qi flow and the [Small Dragon Binding Handprint] imprint in the Yin Spirit was relatively deep did he spend more time extracting the complete Dragon Subduing Buddha Qi from it.
At this point, all twelve remaining strands of protective energy and twenty-four strands of malevolent energy within the Buddhist Qi were gathered, and the cultivation level of [Small Dragon Binding Handprint] regressed to the third rank. Chen Sheng also became a pure fourth-rank Taoist cultivator.
call!
The crimson flames surged.
The fiery energy first melted into liquid under the intense heat of the flames, then vaporized into golden particles of light that danced within the spiritual platform, actively seeking compatible elements to fuse into four giant golden eggs.
During the smelting process, Chen Sheng skillfully navigated through another cycle of tribulations.
When he awoke from this illusion, the giant egg in his mind's eye had slowly wriggled and shaped, and finally solidified into four golden Buddha statues under the heat of the furnace.
Like the previous seven Buddha statues, they also have their own Buddha appearance.
One of them has a [thousand-spoked wheel mark] on its body, and a thousand-spoked wheel pattern appears on the soles of its feet. This is a symbol of awakening the supernatural power of the feet. Those who have this mark can break through the void within a distance of a hundred feet and move at will.
The second manifestation is the [Great Straight Body Form], with a straight and tall figure. Those who possess this form will obtain the great power of the Heavenly Dragon, and their strength will be comparable to that of the dragons of the same realm among the Eight Heavenly Dragons.
The third Buddha statue has a swastika symbol in its palm. That golden swastika can transform the Buddha's palm into a five-fingered mountain, a compassionate and transformative supernatural power that specializes in capturing, sealing, and trapping people.
The fourth Buddha statue has a [topknot] on its head. Those who have this feature will possess prajna wisdom and their thinking speed will be greatly enhanced.
Furthermore, the [topknot form] can also create the Prajna Buddha Fire, which has two sides. When calm, this fire is like a Bodhisattva with lowered eyebrows, capable of healing illnesses and injuries, and protecting enlightenment; when burning fiercely, it is like a Vajra with wrathful eyes, capable of subduing demons and suppressing evil spirits.
"These abilities are not bad."
After a brief inquiry, Chen Sheng summoned the seven Buddha statues that had been integrated into his Yin spirit, and arranged them in a circle with the four Buddha statues.
The eleven Buddha statues simultaneously stepped towards the center of the circle. Upon touching each other, without any great fanfare, they wriggled and merged into a new statue.
The statue has no extra arms, no extra head or face, and it doesn't hold any weapons, ritual implements or ornaments. It also no longer has the eleven unique Buddha features. It just looks like a golden monk with his own face, a burly body and a golden body.
Amidst the vast sea of fire, Chen Sheng took a few steps forward. His Yin Spirit transformed into a particle of light and merged into his golden body. He immediately sensed the terrifying power contained within, enough to move mountains and fill seas.
He moved around a few times and didn't feel any sense of piloting a mecha at all. Instead, he felt as if the golden body was his own.
Chen Sheng raised his hand and flicked his finger hard on the golden statue's chest, but no sound was heard.
At that moment, a thought instinctively surfaced in his mind: this was because the golden body's defensive capabilities were too strong, and the force of the strike had not reached the minimum threshold for the golden body to vibrate.
