Warhammer 40: Starting as a Rogue Trader

Chapter 262 No comparison, no harm

Chapter 262 No comparison, no harm

With the gates of the Demon Realm of Khorne closed, no one knows what happened inside.

However, those with psionic abilities could sense the turbulence emanating from the warp, and the battle between Doom and Khorne continued.

"Marshal Amarich...did you see that just now? What is that giant mech?"
Having glimpsed more of the Empire's secrets, have you heard of the existence of these mechanical creations?

Creed's mouth dropped open, and his ever-present cigar fell to the ground.

Throughout the battle in Cardia, something incomprehensible always happened after that warship full of combat suits.

"No... I'm almost certain this thing didn't come from the Empire."

After all, under normal circumstances, such a large creation as the Empire would have at least a cathedral or a Skyhawk if not a whole cathedral.

Those Cardinal soldiers who witnessed DOOM's massacre of Angron on the front lines remembered his figure vividly.

Although the enemy was wearing armor, they were still humanoid. The Kadia soldiers were more inclined to believe that this was the Empire's secret weapon or a miracle of the Emperor.

"Let the troops reclaim the lost positions, and let those SCVs repair the damaged fortifications!"

Creed immediately issued orders, which, regardless of who the opponent was, gave them a significant advantage.

The traitor who lost the blessing of Khorne has lost his greatest asset. There is no better opportunity than now!

Meanwhile, in the Warp, Nurgle, Slaanesh, and Tzeentch were all watching the earth-shattering commotion emanating from Khorne's Domain.

The three gods found Khorne's actions incomprehensible; the eternal war between the four gods had never reached such a point before.

When DOOM first entered the realm of Khorne, it caused a great commotion and attracted the attention of the three gods.

But none of them expected that the existence of DOOM could drive Khorne to such a desperate level.

They could sense that Khorne's power was weakening, and he, who had not fully recovered from his battle with the Emperor, was now severely injured again.

In the palace of the Prince of Pleasure, the soul of Fugen is held firmly in his grasp.

Compared to Khorne losing Angron, his own loss doesn't seem so great... Khorne can discard Angron at will, but an individual as "playable" as Fugen is also a rare and valuable asset to Slaanesh.

Moreover, Khorne has once again lost its source.

This lessened Slaanesh's desire to torment Fugen a little. After all, without comparison, there is no harm. Seeing someone worse off than himself made Slaanesh feel much better.

Nurgle seemed less angry than before; he even stopped Mortalian from continuing his journey to Kadia.

He was even somewhat relieved that Gao Yi had cut off Mortalian's path from the very beginning.

How long has it been? One Primarch is completely dead, another Primarch has been banished, and most importantly, neither of them has achieved any decisive results.

This made Nurgle doubt whether Mortarion's successful arrival would actually have any impact on the battle.

His demonic legions on Cartier were battling the Zerg and Protoss, which made Nurgle realize that achieving victory in the real universe was now very difficult.

Meanwhile, Tzeentch watched as the Khorne Demon Realm continuously unleashed its destructive power.

The barrier of the Demon Realm blocked his vision and foresight, and he could not see what was happening inside.

However, he was wondering in his heart whether he could push Khorne to such an extent if he were to have a life-or-death conflict with him.

The answer is no. The war between the four gods was never just between the four of them, but also involved their followers and their respective demon legions.

At this moment, there is only one certainty that this situation is occurring in the Khorne Realm: the one fighting against him in the Khorne Realm is just a single individual.

The fact that an individual had driven Khorne to such an extent even stirred a faint sense of fear within Tzeentch.

Looking at the last remaining figure on the Cadia, Magnus, who also belonged to Him, Tzeentch began to consider whether to recall him and reconsider the matter.

He knew that the other three had already gradually withdrawn from the war, and he wouldn't be left to fight to the death alone.

"Huh? How is this possible... Angron is dead? Was it because of that giant humanoid mech?" Magnus looked in the direction where Angron had been. The psionic energy fluctuations of Angron, his former brother, had completely disappeared... making Magnus doubt whether it was real for a moment.

He sought revelation from the ever-changing Lord.

Tzeentch's order to them was to retreat. It seemed that their objective had failed. Under the current circumstances, killing Gao Yi and destroying Cardia were no longer possible.

They still lacked an understanding and concept of the power in Gao Yi's hands.

But Magnus did not want to... The Thousand Sons had already observed that Guilliman was heading towards them.

Aside from the Ultramarines, he was surrounded by ordinary people and psionic aliens.

The Archdemon Tzeentch in Blackrock Fortress, a stronghold of the Red Pirates, once fought against the Protoss. Although his opponent was strong, he was not to the point that Magnus feared him.

He was well aware of Guilliman's pitiful psionic resistance.

“Great Lord of All Changes, although we cannot destroy your target now, I can bring Guilliman back to your Demon Realm, which is also a good gain. My offspring and I are confident that we can defeat and capture Guilliman.”

Hearing Magnus's answer, Tzeentch agreed. If they could acquire Guilliman, his leadership skills would be of great help to him. If they could have another Primarch under their command, this operation would be worthwhile.

However, Tzeentch still reminded Magnus that if he found things were beyond saving, he should immediately abandon maintaining his physical form and return to the subspace.

Magnus chose to comply.

The series of encouraging inquiries spurred Guilliman to speed up his pace.

Felus has already exiled Fugen, and Gao Yi has directly dealt with Angron. Abaddon's forces cannot advance an inch, and now only Magnus remains as a threat.

Guilliman looked at the dense warp energy emanating from Magnus's location, his expression becoming extremely grave. He was confident that his combat skills were no less than Magnus's, and perhaps even stronger, but once the opponent used psionic energy, he would be completely helpless.

He suffered a lot from psionic weaknesses.

“Guilliman, don’t worry, the Lord’s untouchables and I will help you deal with their psionic abilities!”

Artanis said to Guilliman.

Guilliman nodded in agreement.

As the group continued their advance, they reached the position ravaged by Magnus, but Magnus, who should have been there, was nowhere to be found.

On this battlefield, countless machines were transformed into bizarre, fleshy machines under the influence of the chaotic evil magic.

Some Imperial soldiers even survived, though their combat suits were torn apart by the proliferating flesh, and they staggered toward Guilliman.

"Kill me! Kill me! Kill me now! I don't want to become a monster!"

The soldiers pleaded desperately, and Guilliman knew that these men were deliberately left for him by Magnus.

"Guilliman, watch out!"

Artanis's voice rang in Guilliman's ears, and Artanis sensed the sudden surge of psionic energy.

Artanis's will was instantly transmitted to the minds of every Protoss through the Khala.

All the Templars activated their speed boosts and immediately fled the land beneath their feet.

But Guilliman and the other Ultra Warriors were too late.

From the land already scorched by cannon fodder, tentacles made of psionic energy wrapped directly around Guilliman and the group of Ultramarines.

Guilliman swung the Imperial Sword at top speed, slicing the tentacles to pieces, but even more tentacles climbed onto Guilliman's body.

These tentacles are slowly pulling Guilliman into Tzeentch's ever-changing labyrinth.
When Guilliman saw that his plan had succeeded, Magnus appeared in front of him.

“Guilliman, my brother, stop struggling. You and I both know you can’t escape my psionic spells.”
