Chapter 214 The King of Figurines, Taraxin
And in the space between reality and subspace.
An SCV was sealed inside a cube; the enormous SCV was now only the size of a palm.
A body made entirely of living metal is playing with a cube in its hand.
“Sanet, my chief technician, come and see this amazing creation! Do you see it? It’s like primitive technology. How did they repair a human heavy vehicle that was almost completely destroyed?”
The substance appeared out of thin air; I did not perceive any process of energy or matter synthesis within it.
However, I have a complete understanding of its structure, but I have not found any construction or technology that could achieve that effect.
Could it be a force from the subspace? But I haven't sensed any reaction from the subspace!
However, given its past performance, it still deserves to be a piece in my collection, and I will study it thoroughly sooner or later!
The ruler of the Solemnas dynasty, the Figurine King Tarasin, was staring at the SCV in his hand.
"My lord, I think you should focus on the battlefield before you. Could the Imperial Guard created by the human emperor and the humans wearing those special armors become your collection? If you need me, I can hunt them down for you immediately."
"This is what the chief technician named Sannett said impatiently," a Deathmark said, while standing beside them raised his neural decomposition gun and aimed at the battlefield.
Sannett had no desire to stay here. The battle between humanity and chaos held no value in his eyes, and only the ruler, Tarasin, would be interested in coming here.
He just wanted Tarachin to finish his collecting work and leave as soon as possible.
Tarachin paid no heed to his chief technician's slight offense, his attention completely absorbed by the changes on the battlefield.
“Sannet, don’t rush. They can’t find us. If you make a move recklessly, you’ll only expose us.”
The Imperial Guard is indeed a nice collectible... but I already have one, so there's no need to get another. As for those human soldiers... there are too many of them. There's no need for you to take action; we can just steal a set!
However, the situation here is somewhat different from what I saw on the Brilliant Star Chart... There is nothing worth collecting and recording now. Only when those humans are in despair can I collect the last precious history. Of course, it would also be fine if those who have been strengthened by the Sea of Souls were in despair. I don't care who my collection belongs to, as long as it is precious enough!
"Sennett, wait a little longer, I think we'll get even rarer items soon!"
"Then do you still need to tell humanity the true purpose of the Blackrock creations and how to activate them?"
"No, no, no, there's no need for that right now. Look at them, didn't they block the attack of Chaos? Besides, I've already given the chief priest of the humans here a hint, but his skills... I think it's unlikely he'll make any breakthroughs."
Patience—after all these years, I still haven't learned this skill. Only with enough patience can we obtain what we need. I'm becoming increasingly curious about the so-called Montgomery merchant dynasty.
Perhaps we can go there for a visit after this matter is resolved.
Taracin was disdainful of the mechanical priests' abilities.
Wandering between dimensions, Taracin sent out more scarabs to collect images and intelligence throughout Cadia.
The Cardia soldiers on the ground were helpless against the battle in the void; they could only pray that the Imperial warships in orbit could buy them more time in the hope that more Imperial reinforcements would arrive.
However, despite their immense size and quantity, Cardia's defensive fleet continued to be destroyed.
The Astartes' warships moved through the battle lines.
However, this still could not stop the Chaos Fleet's attack.
In conventional fleet operations, Astartes' warships do not have much of an advantage.
Abaddon's fleet is getting closer and closer to Cardia.
"Admiral Kozjokan! We must retreat! The ship cannot withstand any more damage!"
"Retreat! Where can we retreat to! We have no way out! The Cardia is right behind us! How many torpedoes do you have left? Aim them at that enemy battleship! The Emperor is watching us! Sink it!"
Dozens of plasma torpedoes were launched from the bow of the ship.
Countless data pipelines were connected to the head of the gunnery mastermind on this Imperial battleship, and all sorts of battlefield data flowed into his brain.
The overwhelming amount of data flooded his brain, causing him extreme pain.
"By the Emperor above! It has been predicted!"
At least half of the dozens of plasma torpedoes struck the enemy ship.
The violent explosion tore the keel of the Chaos battlecruiser to shreds. Deafening cheers erupted from the entire bridge, but the next second, a dazzling spear of light struck another Imperial warship nearby.
The beam sliced a nearby, already riddled-with-holes Imperial heavy cruiser in two, and the massive explosion left no survivors on board.
The joy of destroying the enemy ship vanished instantly.
"General."
The crew members on the bridge couldn't help but look out through the windows. A precious heavy cruiser had now become nothing more than a useless wreck in the void, and it was impossible for any of the naval personnel on board to have survived.
"Retreat. Tell Lord Creedburg that we have done our best. The Imperial fleet cannot be completely sunk here. We will roam the star system looking for opportunities. If all the warships are sunk, then there is truly no hope."
Kozjokan seemed to have come to terms with reality, and he began to make what he considered the most reasonable decisions.
"Send signals to the surrounding Imperial fleets to provide mutual cover! We must disengage from the battlefield!"
The Chaos fleet also noticed the Empire's decline, and they relentlessly pursued the retreating fleet like hounds.
Just as the fleet battle reached its most intense stage, both sides on the battlefield sensed strong subspace fluctuations.
"General! It's a warp teleportation! By the Emperor! What kind of monster is this? I've never seen such a massive teleportation signal before."
The crew member's voice trembled uncontrollably.
General Kozjokan also panicked, but he still maintained his composure.
He immediately activated the sound array equipment, transmitting his commands one after another.
"All crew! Attack stance! Prepare for impact!! Quick! channel all energy into the Void Shield!"
"Fire control master! Load the macro cannon immediately! Strike while the enemy is at their weakest point after leaping out of warp! Everyone, hold your posts! Even if we die, we must die in battle! Only then will we be worthy of ascending to the Golden Throne!"
For the Empire, normal warships would never engage in such blind warp navigation, especially since this was happening right in the center of the battlefield – it was tantamount to suicide.
As for Chaos, they knew perfectly well that they simply did not possess any other warships of such immense size, and that the only possible candidates were those belonging to the Empire.
Both sides believe that the other side has the power to enter the fray.
"Thirty seconds, thirty seconds left, and this monster will enter the real world."
"Prepare to fire from the broadside! Have the crew load immediately!"
Meanwhile, the Chaos faction's warships were also making preparations.
"8 seconds. 7 seconds. 321"
"Fire!!!"
"Stop!! Stop! It's the Mountain Formation! Ceasefire immediately!!!"
The signal barked hoarsely, and a recognition signal appeared on the bird divination device!
The massive Mountain Array arrived at the battlefield ahead of schedule, forcibly tearing open subspace and causing the energy from the highest heavens to impact all the surrounding warships. Even behemoths like battleships began to shake, and countless crew members could not even stand still due to the impact.
Several Chaos escort ships were located exactly where the Mountain Array had appeared.
The massive Mountain Array ship rammed and destroyed the enemy without even firing a shot.
Abaddon stared incredulously at the sudden arrival of the Mountain Array.
At this point, the Mountain Array showed no visible damage from the outside, but the internal repairs were not yet complete.
"Those trash, the Steel Warriors of Birac!"
Abaddon knew about their plan to attack Terra, but he didn't expect the Mountain Array to arrive so intact. Had their invasion yielded absolutely no results?!
"Concentrate fire! Destroy the Mountain Formation! Mokas, charge the main cannon of Eternal Will!"
All the cannons on the Mountain Formation that entered the battlefield immediately opened fire.
The Yamajin, capable of single-handedly destroying an entire fleet, gave the Imperial Navy renewed hope.
