Chapter 42 The Ultimate Definition of the Void
Chapter 42 The Ultimate Definition of the Void
It can't be the ultimate void!
It absolutely cannot be the ultimate void!
What is the ultimate void?
As mentioned before, ultimate fear is an objective law, but it is also a kind of wisdom and state of mind.
No matter how the main biological civilization in the known universe develops, it will always encounter a more powerful irresistible force and be destroyed;
Civilization under the Shenhe technological system cannot overcome this irresistible force.
To extend this meaning, the universe cannot accommodate the highest wisdom of the life in the main biological world. Their wisdom cannot break through the universe, so they cannot understand the real universe.
The intuitive explanation of this state of mind is still that the will of civilization can never override the will of the universe.
Civilization is always contained in the universe, and no civilization can think outside the known framework of the universe.
Unable to jump out or transcend, we can only carry out limited development and thinking within this framework.
Under such cognitive conditions, the universe was divided into the known universe and the unknown universe, and then a series of Shenhe ethics and related civilization concepts were born.
Under this kind of concept and state, the civilization of Shenhe Technology System would appear so extreme and ridiculous.
The Shenhe civilization would allow its own star to be destroyed, and would rather wander collectively to establish a super seminary to help develop and build the main biological world of Shenhe life than violate such laws.
The Deno civilization would go to war over a small dispute, leading to mutual destruction.
The Lieyang civilization will cling to its mother planet, which occupies half of the star body, and will be unwilling to leave for tens of thousands of years.
Because in their view, their respective civilizations are bound to the planet where they were born.
If the universe's irresistible force is to destroy them, then whether they leave their home planet or not, they will eventually suffer destruction from the irresistible force.
If the universe does not allow them to perish, then that irresistible force will continue even if they are forced to stay on the Sun Star, where only half of the star is left.
Only when they are forced to do so and can no longer sustain themselves will they abandon their place of origin like the Shenhe civilization and wander the universe in search of their next home.
Angels and demons have made some relatively limited progress in their thinking, but it is still quite limited. They will fight each other over a simple dispute between justice and evil.
Because in their view, the framework of the universe is there and they cannot change it.
The natural difference between justice and evil makes them regard each other as an irresistible force for the survival of their civilization within this framework.
Only by eliminating this irresistible force can they devote themselves to developing their own civilization.
In short, the civilization under the Shenhe system is a group of extreme, conservative and backward civilizations that developed under the "ultimate fear".
The so-called god-level civilization is just a joke of a monkey in human form without knowing it.
In this state of "ultimate fear", the upper limit of the development of these god-level civilizations is completely locked, and the upper limit of their wisdom and thinking is also almost completely locked.
In addition to the objective factor of "ultimate fear", the main reason that puts them in this ideological shackle is the Shenhe morality and related civilization concepts on which their own civilization relies for development.
Many civilizations in this universe were not aware of this before, and even if they did, they were unable to break free from this state.
Carl creatively jumped out of these old frameworks and made the following revolutionary definition based on the theory of "ultimate fear":
In a state of ultimate fear, all existing cognition may be completely wrong.
For example, if a civilization's technology develops and it explores the edge of the universe, this technological exploration means that the civilization's highest level of intelligence has reached its limit;
When the most intelligent people of this civilization explore this edge, they will find that no matter what scientific and technological theories or the knowledge accumulated over the past hundreds of thousands of years, they cannot define the specific edge of the universe.
Theoretically, the real universe should be infinite, but in cognitive concepts and actual observations, this infinite universe actually has an edge.
Such a circular theory forms a kind of unbreakable paradox.
Therefore, there must be a kind of knowledge that civilization cannot understand that can solve all these paradoxes, solve everything that even the highest master biological wisdom cannot penetrate, and untie the boundary between the known universe and the unknown universe.
Such a civilization is defined by Carl as "ultimate void"!
Such a civilization cannot be matched by any so-called god-level civilization!
And a civilization like this has never appeared or been discovered in the known universe.
Carl is dedicated to studying the original power of the void, hoping that such a civilization will be born, or that such a civilization will be explored and discovered.
In this way, he wanted to subvert the various civilization concepts and outdated worldviews that had continued since the establishment of Shenhe civilization.
Deny the entire main biological world, and let all civilizations in the universe be destroyed and then rebuilt. And Carl himself will use the "Ultimate Void" as the cornerstone to innovate the new era and become the great pioneer of the new era!
This is also what Carl really aspires to.
The Human Federation that suddenly appeared in the Milky Way was initially identified by Carl as the "Ultimate Void".
Because the various unknown technologies used by the other civilization and the powerful strength it demonstrated completely exceeded all civilizations in the main biological world!
Even the former Shenhe civilization cannot be compared with this human federation.
Even a civilization as powerful as the Angels cannot compete with it.
If such a civilization is not the "ultimate void", what else could it be?
But soon, Carl discovered that this was not the case.
Because this human federation actually still has some basic desires that they recognize, such as expanding territory.
Carl secretly watched the great expedition launched by the Human Federation in the Milky Way through the big clock.
Carl was disappointed.
In Karl's view, such blind expansion of territory is not advisable.
A civilization that has a desire to expand its territory must have certain limitations and must be blocked by the framework of the known universe. It cannot be the "ultimate void" as he defines it.
Even god-level civilizations don't care about the size of their territory.
Because there is no need for that.
The universe is so vast that there is no civilization beyond their level.
No matter how small the territory is, it does not prevent these god-level civilizations from mobilizing various resources in the known universe at will.
After all, no one will come to stop them.
If there is a real "ultimate void", why should we focus on expanding the so-called territory?
The vast universe allows them to roam freely, the endless resources of the universe are at their disposal, and the various rules of the universe are at their disposal.
In Carl's opinion, this kind of civilization truly meets the standards of "Ultimate Void"!
This human federation should be just a super civilization that has slightly surpassed the scope of god-level civilization but has not reached the "ultimate void".
As for why such a civilization suddenly appeared in the known universe and had never been noticed by other god-level civilizations before, Carl had no idea.
The big clock cannot give a specific answer either.
The other civilization may be related to the Ultimate Void, but it can never be the Ultimate Void.
Since the Human Federation is not the "Ultimate Void".
Could these cosmic phenomena that instantly destroy an entire galaxy be caused by the "ultimate void"?
Carl then denied this conjecture.
Carl was not aware of the existence of the "Hunter", nor did he know how terrifying the "Hunter" was.
But he knew that even the destruction of a galaxy would be nothing in the vast known universe.
"Ultimate Void" should be the ultimate existence that will break the boundaries of the entire universe!
At present, unknown crises and new civilizations are suddenly appearing frequently in the known universe.
Such entities as the Human Federation, the Hunters, the Presolin Zerg, the Final Defense Protocol, the Rectification Protocol, the Cyberlux, and so on...
No matter how devastating it is, no matter how threatening and harmful it is, in Carl's eyes, it can never meet the definition of "Ultimate Void".
Carl would be moved by the sudden appearance of these novelties, but that was all.
The ultimate void that he has been seeking all his life cannot be these mundane things that are still bound within the framework of the universe.
