Chapter 472 Splitting the Spirit Mountain with a Halberd [Seeking monthly votes and recommendations to continue reading]

“Look at the foot of this sacred mountain, it is a hunting ground for your wicked beasts, and countless creatures are nothing but food for you.”

Can you see this overwhelming resentment and sin? Can you hear the endless wails of these souls?
Skulls piled up like mountains, bones formed a forest. Hair turned to felt, flesh rotted into mud and dust. Human sinews clung to trees, dry and gleaming like silver.

Blood soaked the earth three feet deep, forming scabs, and white bones formed layers in the ground, enough to support tens of thousands of White Bone Demons. Black energy permeated this land, and it would not dissipate for ten thousand years.

Even the souls of the dead are not spared; they are dragged into the underworld to be drained of their life force, reused, and transformed into devout believers to provide incense offerings.

I wonder how many souls your sacred mountain Buddhas, your three thousand Buddha kingdoms, and your countless dust-like worlds have kept, chanting sutras and praying for you day and night, providing you with incense and faith, and creating countless ghee, golden statues, banners, robes, and jewels?
The creatures of Xiniu Hezhou are truly unlucky to be born at the foot of your sacred mountain.

Not only will we be exploited by you for countless lifetimes without end, but we will also foolishly believe in you, support you, and have our thoughts controlled by you.

Where is there even a trace of self-will?

Everything we think, do, and act must be within the framework you allow.

They were truly unaware of their own misfortune; how tragic and lamentable!

The Buddha remained expressionless and majestic, like a golden Buddha statue in a temple, his voice loud and clear.

"You monster, what reason do you possibly have?"

"In my Western Niuhe Continent, we neither greedily kill, but cultivate our vital energy and nurture our spirit. Although there are no supreme immortals, everyone enjoys a long life."

All beings are equal, everyone walks the righteous path, order is well maintained, and everyone seeks the Buddha's teachings to transcend the sea of suffering.

After death, one can enter the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss and enjoy immeasurable blessings.

As for you, the people of Jambudvipa, you are greedy, lustful, and fond of trouble, and you kill and fight a lot. It is a place of fierce words and a sea of evil.

How can anything compare to my blissful paradise and the true Dharma of Vulture Peak?

"Ha!" Chen Hong laughed in anger. "What a blissful paradise! What a concept of equality for all beings! What a concept of non-greed and non-killing!"

That's wonderful!

"The closer you get to Mount Ling, the more demons there are, and the more suffering all living beings endure. The closer you get to Mount Ling, the more it becomes a hellish realm."

Is this your true Dharma? Is this your non-greed and non-killing? Is this your blissful paradise? Is this your equality of all beings?

Faced with Chen Hong's questioning, the Buddha remained calm, and the 3D surround sound rang out, exuding a high-class atmosphere.

"Demons are also among all living beings."

"Humans eat beef, mutton, and pork, and demons eat humans; it's just the cycle of nature, and we're all just stinking skins."

Why be so attached?

To cast aside physical appearances, temper one's mind through hardship, believe in all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas who save people from suffering, enter the monastic community, accumulate merit and blessings, and in the next life enter the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss to enjoy immeasurable blessings—this is the right way.

The right way is to set aside wealth and material possessions, make offerings before the Buddha, accumulate merit, seek blessings in the next life, overcome hardships and disasters in this life, and understand one's Buddha-nature.

You mortals, with your seven emotions and six desires, are like mud sinking into oblivion, blinding your wisdom, and only thinking about money and pleasure.

Where money is, there your hearts will be.

Only by relinquishing wealth and making offerings before the Buddha can one relinquish attachments, cease clinging to the desire for money, cultivate a pure and compassionate heart, wholeheartedly believe in all Buddhas, seek the Great Way, practice the true Dharma, accumulate merit, and thus transcend the boundless sea of suffering in this world as soon as possible.

The people of the Lion Camel Kingdom have performed a great act of merit, a great righteous Dharma, and a great blessing by offering their bodies to demons. In their next life, they will be blessed with wealth and honor, and will be closer to the Buddha. One day, they will attain enlightenment and enjoy boundless bliss.

If you kill demons and prevent them from helping fools accumulate good fortune, wouldn't that be a great sin?

You think you're upholding justice, but in reality you're hindering people's spiritual cultivation, committing heinous sins. You think you're subduing demons and monsters, but in reality you're obstructing demons from practicing their ways and harming these demonic beings—how unjust!

You think you're fighting for justice, sacrificing yourself, battling the world for these beings, and dying a martyr—but have you ever asked whether these beings actually wanted to be saved by you?

"it is good!"

"Today I have truly witnessed what it means for Buddhists to speak eloquently!"

Chen Hong's face turned completely cold, revealing a cruel, unwavering will and aura.

"The truth of this world cannot be obtained through debate."

"It was earned through fighting!"

Chen Hong wielded the Sky-Breaking Halberd, and the three-thousand-foot-tall giant swung the halberd fiercely at the three Buddhas.

The Buddha, Manjushri Bodhisattva, and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva all changed their expressions, not daring to take the blow head-on.

They realized just how terrifying this halberd was; it was a destructive halberd capable of shattering their golden bodies, reducing them to ashes, and erasing them from this world forever.

Therefore, the Buddha, Manjushri, and Samantabhadra did not hesitate at all and immediately used their escape techniques to leave the range of Chen Hong's attack.

But the direction behind them was Mount Ling.

They dodged the halberd, but the sacred mountain behind them would not escape this calamity.

The Buddha's expression changed, and he could no longer maintain his calm and composed demeanor.

"not good!"

"My sacred mountain!"

"be cheated!"

Buddha suddenly looked at Mount Ling, his face extremely grim. He wanted to use his supernatural powers to stop him, but Chen Hong's halberd strike was too terrifying, and he had no confidence in taking it.

Moreover, it was too late to stop it. As the Buddha looked down at Mount Ling, Mount Ling had already been chopped down by Chen Hong with a single halberd.

boom!
Rumble!
A terrifying mushroom cloud rose into the sky.

The automatic protective array of Mount Ling was easily broken by Chen Hong's halberd. The three thousand Buddhas, eight hundred Arhats, and five Jiedi of Mount Ling, who had hastily used their supernatural powers to defend themselves, were all unable to withstand this terrifying halberd strike.

No matter what kind of supernatural power or formation they used, it was all broken and destroyed.

Seeing that the halberd was about to fall, many clever Buddhas and Arhats used their escape techniques to sneak away and protect the people of Mount Ling in front of them.

Unfortunately, Chen Hong had been plotting this for a long time, and he wouldn't let them escape.

With a thought, he mastered the Five Thunders: [Geng Metal Divine Thunder], [Yi Wood Divine Thunder], [Gui Water Divine Thunder], [Bing Fire Divine Thunder], [Wu Earth Divine Thunder], [Three Lights Divine Thunder], [Yin Yang Divine Thunder], [Taiyi Divine Thunder], and [Destruction Divine Thunder]. Countless thunderbolts transformed into a thunder prison, firmly trapping the entire sacred mountain in all directions, both in the sky and on the ground.

The terrifying Thunder Prison blocked all exits; any Buddha or Arhat who tried to escape would be severely injured or even destroyed by its violent destructive power if they touched the lightning.

In particular, the Destruction Lightning, carrying the destructive power of the end of the universe, annihilates matter, energy, and concepts. It erodes the foundation of one's Dao, pollutes the laws, and destroys order. All laws are broken, life is extinguished, and even the divine soul is annihilated.

It completely subdues extraordinary beings like Buddhas and Arhats, trapping them within this thunderous prison. The slightest mistake will result in their destruction and annihilation.

The many Buddhas on Mount Ling could only watch in despair as the terrifying halberd fell, seemingly slowly but actually very fast.
