Chapter 470 Two Types of Domesticated Humans [Seeking Monthly Tickets and Recommendations]
Chen Hong traveled to the Lion Camel Kingdom, where Sun Wukong was competing in speed with the Roc.
This roc can fly 90,000 li with a single flap of its wings, and can catch up with Sun Wukong with two flaps (180,000 li).
While Sun Wukong was flying on his somersault cloud, he was grabbed from behind by the Roc.
Chen Hong ignored the battle of wits between Sun Wukong and the three demons, and instead looked at the demon kingdom where bones were scattered everywhere.
The Lion Camel Kingdom has been almost completely devoured, and various demons are active everywhere, leaving only some humans to be raised as breeding livestock in pigsties.
The demons also understand sustainable development; they know that if they eat everything, there won't be anything left to eat.
Therefore, we must also understand the importance of sustainable development and leave some resources for human breeding and raising so that we can have a constant supply of food and fresh produce in the future.
These domesticated animals, after hundreds or thousands of years of domestication, have long since degenerated into obedient and numb lower monkeys, losing even human language, culture, and the inheritance of skills.
They would just stay numbly in the pigsty, unable to speak, with dull eyes, and without any thought of resistance. They would only feel that this was how they were born, and that everything was just as they should be.
What you are born with, you have; what you don't have, you don't have.
They were born as lowly humans, the lowest of the low, like monkeys and livestock, and were entitled to be eaten by monsters.
The demons' method of taming them was to prevent them from resisting, as resistance was futile. They would frequently display their power to make the human monkeys realize that they could not possibly fight back against the demons with their own flesh and blood, and that there was no hope.
Only after the will to resist is severed can one be completely at ease, with no possibility of resistance and therefore no chance of success.
Because you can never succeed if you don't try.
If you don't even dare to think about it, then the very beginning of success is impossible.
This is domestication.
It's the same principle as humans domesticating cattle and sheep. From birth, they are fitted with nose rings, shackles, and millstones to grind down all their unruly resistance.
When the cattle and sheep grow up and are strong enough to break free of their ropes, they will not even think of breaking free of their shackles.
They will only vividly remember the despair and helplessness they felt when they were children and teenagers, struggling with all their might but still unable to break free from their shackles.
Then a mental imprint will form, making it impossible for one to break free from that thick, pillar-like rope. No matter how hard one tries, it is impossible to break the rope and gain freedom.
Under the imprint of this domestication mentality, even if cattle and sheep grow up and become strong and powerful, they will not have the slightest thought of resistance.
Instead, they maintained their momentum and continued to work tirelessly day and night without complaint.
Humans, on the other hand, control essential commodities like food and pigsties. When cattle, sheep, and pigs are exhausted, a little bit of food to sustain their survival is enough to make them fight each other fiercely, to the point of tearing each other apart.
Humans, on the other hand, sit back and relax, controlling the situation and reaping all the benefits.
Harvesting the wealth and profits generated by the labor of these cattle, sheep, and pigs, they achieved the goal of maximizing gains with minimal effort.
Once these cattle, sheep, and pigs have passed their prime but haven't reached middle or old age, they're chopped off.
They were slaughtered, and their strongest, youngest, and last meal of fat meat was enjoyed.
In this way, they can both reap the rewards of their labor and enjoy a good meal of meat, instead of eating old or cured meat.
If you feel that you haven't maximized your profits, you can continue to let the cattle and sheep work until they get old, then slaughter them and harvest a batch of cured meat to maximize your profits.
These are all ancient human wisdom passed down through generations.
These are all excellent traditional cultures. Now, the demons have obviously also learned this ancient and profound wisdom and are applying it to the domesticated human race.
They divided humans into two types: those who toiled and labored in the city, serving and tending to demons.
One type is the human being who lies in the pigsty, eating and sleeping, sleeping and eating.
Humans provided the labor to satisfy all the demons' desires for pleasure.
Humans only have one requirement for pigs: that their meat be fresh and delicious, and that they grow fat and strong as quickly as possible.
Then, the demons grabbed it, roasted it into a golden pig, and fried it to extract its rich fat, which satisfied the demons' nutritional needs for meat.
The demons will promote some lackeys from among the miserable humans and upgrade them into human pigs.
Then, these human pigs were sent to reprimand the humans of Kuha, arousing their envy and longing, thus giving them a glimmer of hope and spurring them to work even harder.
All the miserable humans dream of their entire lives to become a human pig, so they don't have to work and can enjoy the life of eating and sleeping in a pigsty.
But what they don't know is that even if they are upgraded to human-like creatures, they are essentially just fat pigs waiting to be slaughtered.
The moment the demon farmers stop feeding the animals will be the moment they are slaughtered.
That's the harvest season; a good harvest can bring in a fortune and ensure a prosperous year.
All they ever strived for in their lives was to become nothing more than fish on the chopping block of the high and mighty demons.
No matter how obedient they are or how hard they work, they can never cross the long-isolated abyss and become one of the demons.
Their ceiling is still that of being a pig, a food source.
It's just that becoming a pig means it'll look better when it's eaten, unlike the bitter pig which suffers so much and works so hard. It can enjoy a life without having to work before being slaughtered and cooked.
In the Lion Camel Kingdom today, the only remaining human race consists of these two categories.
However, in Chen Hong's view, these creatures with human appearances are no longer considered human.
They lack human language and writing, the pioneering spirit of humankind that is arduous and capable of moving mountains and seas, and the rebellious spirit of humankind that fights against nature and defeats all demons and monsters.
They even came to the idea that suffering was a given.
The more suffering one endures, the more merit one accumulates, and the better one's next life will be, perhaps even being reborn as a demon, thus escaping the lowly status of a human.
They believe this is the supreme enlightenment and that this supreme Dharma should be propagated.
They believe that everything in the world and the universe is a dream of the Buddha of Mount Ling, and that only the supreme Dharma, which involves suffering and hardship, is the only true and supreme achievement.
The more suffering one endures, the more righteous Dharma one receives, and the more blessings one accumulates, leading to rebirth in the heavenly realm in the next life to enjoy heavenly blessings.
They even spontaneously worshipped the demons who oppressed them.
Some even kowtowed every step of the way, setting off towards Mount Ling, traversing mountains and rivers, making a grand vow to kneel and kowtow all the way to Mount Ling to worship the Buddha.
In this process, because they paid an increasingly higher price and the sunk costs became increasingly large, they brainwashed themselves into becoming more and more devout, contributing a massive amount of devout faith to the Buddha and Bodhisattvas of Mount Ling who ignored all of this.
These Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, with their heads bowed and eyes lowered, enjoyed the incense offerings from the sentient beings.
