Chapter 256 Return to Dragon Valley, Eileen's Promise

Chapter 256 Return to Dragon Valley, Eileen's Promise

Using his identity as a Hunter Master, Wang Feng and his two companions successfully boarded a private plane bound for London.

After a flight of several hours, the plane slowly landed on Heathrow Airport's private runway.

The front yard of the Victoria family estate was filled with all kinds of luxury cars.

Passing through the iron gate, one can see dozens of renowned hunter master teams gathered in the courtyard—there are well-equipped "Blood Wolf Mercenary Group" teams, lone hunter masters, and even several veteran powerhouses who have been in seclusion for many years.

They gathered in small groups to talk, but a gloomy look hung over everyone's faces, and a sense of oppression filled the air.

"Wang Feng?!"

A gentle voice, filled with surprise, suddenly rang out. Eileen, lifting her skirt, strode over quickly. Her previously furrowed brows relaxed the moment she saw Wang Feng, and her golden eyes shimmered with a gentle light.

Two years have allowed this heir to become even more mature and elegant.

She elegantly styled her long golden hair into a bun, adorned with several silver hair ornaments inlaid with moonstones, exuding both aristocratic elegance and understated sophistication.

A champagne gold fishtail gown perfectly accentuated her graceful figure, with lace tulle at the chest subtly revealing her figure and shimmering like pearls in the sunlight with each step she took.

"I heard you've run into some trouble." Wang Feng gazed at the radiant woman before him, his voice softening slightly. "Do you need any help?"

"You're willing to help me?" Eileen paused slightly, her golden eyes rippling.

“Of course,” Wang Feng said with a gentle smile, “aren’t we good friends?”

Behind him came Apas's soft muttering: "What a hypocrite, he's clearly just lusting after Miss Victoria."

A vein throbbed on Wang Feng's forehead. He secretly resolved that once this matter was over, he would definitely "educate" this loose-tongued little Medusa.

"So, what exactly is the situation? I heard it's related to Dragon Valley?" he asked seriously.

Eileen pursed her lips and nodded: "Dragon Valley was suddenly closed a month ago. Since it reopened the day before yesterday, all the reconnaissance teams we sent out have disappeared without a trace."

Her slender fingers unconsciously tightened around the hem of her skirt. "The last super-class squad dispatched only sent back one message."

“All the dragon beasts have mutated and are attacking any creature indiscriminately.” She lowered her voice. “I’m worried that something has gone wrong with the Overlord.”

Wang Feng replied without hesitation, "Leave it to me."

“But…” Eileen grabbed his sleeve anxiously, “even the six-person super-class team has lost more than half its members, and the three survivors are still receiving mental treatment.”

Wang Feng glanced around at the hesitant master hunters in the courtyard, a calm smile playing on his lips.

"Don't worry, leave this to our Azure Sky Hunting Grounds." He turned to look at Eileen, a sly glint in his eyes. "However, I heard that if we can resolve the anomaly in Dragon Valley, the Victoria family will grant one request?"

Looking at Wang Feng's confident expression, Eileen nodded slightly: "Yes, as long as it's within our capabilities."

“Very good.” Wang Feng nodded in satisfaction, then said seriously, “Then please take us to Dragon Valley.”

……

At the entrance to Dragon Valley, members of the Royal Mage Order of England were on high alert, guarding the area with great vigilance.

They wore dark blue standard robes, the royal insignia on their chests gleaming in the sunlight. Each mage's eyes were sharp as a hawk's, constantly alert to any unusual activity within the valley.

Upon Eileen's arrival, the mages uniformly performed a standard English mage salute.

Eileen nodded gracefully in return and personally escorted Wang Feng and the other two to the valley entrance. Her gaze lingered on Lingling and Apas for a moment, a hint of doubt flashing in her golden eyes: "Are these two going in too?"

As a high-level mage, she could clearly sense that there was no magical energy fluctuation on either of them.

"Of course!" Lingling proudly raised her little face. "I'm his hunter partner. What if he gets lost inside if I'm not watching him?"

Apas pouted and nodded reluctantly—if it weren't for Wang Feng's "tyranny," she would rather go back to sleep.

Eileen took out a slightly crumpled parchment map from her bosom and solemnly handed it to Lingling: "This is a route map that the Super Squad drew over two days. It might be of help to you."

A hint of worry flashed in her golden eyes, but she still bowed gracefully: "May our ancestors bless you with a safe return."

"Don't worry. If I can't do it, then no one in this world can."

A confident smile curved Wang Feng's lips. He grasped Lingling's slender wrist with his left hand and held Apas's fair wrist with his right. Before the two could react, he led them into the dark entrance of Dragon Valley.

Before Apas could utter a cry of alarm, she was swallowed up by the distorted space at the valley entrance.

……

After a moment of dizzying weightlessness, the sight before the three of them made them gasp for breath.

The once clear blue sky now appeared as if it had been soaked in blood, turning a disturbing dark red, with thick clouds hanging low as if they could be reached out and touched.

The air was thick with the pungent smell of sulfur, mixed with a putrid stench. In the distance, several streaks of purplish-black lightning silently leaped through the clouds, illuminating the desolate land.

The once lush forest is now nothing but twisted, dead trees, their trunks covered in eerie black scales that gleam with a metallic sheen in the dim light.

All the vegetation on the ground had withered, replaced by a layer of sticky, dark green moss that oozes a disgusting, pus-like sap when stepped on.

"Is this really Dragon Valley?" Lingling unconsciously clenched the map in her hand, her big, watery eyes reflecting the desolate scene.

Her small nostrils twitched slightly, as if trying to discern something from the putrid air.

Wang Feng closed his eyes, sensing the chaotic spatial fluctuations around him.

He could clearly perceive that the spatial structure of this area was like a crumpled piece of paper, full of unnatural folds and cracks.

“It doesn’t seem like a naturally occurring mutation,” he said in a deep voice, “it’s more like it was forcibly eroded by some other dimension.”

Apas suddenly wrinkled her small nose: "There's a rotten smell that seems familiar."

Just then, a heart-wrenching scream came from afar, followed by a series of chilling sounds of bones cracking.

Lingling quickly unfolded the map, her slender fingers moving swiftly across the parchment. "The markings indicate," her fingertip stopped on a distorted pattern of a withered forest, "that's where the strongest anomalous energy reaction is detected."

Wang Feng's lips curled into a cold smile: "Since we're already here, how can we not find out the truth?"

He raised his right hand, his slender fingers drawing graceful arcs in the air.

Moon-white star trails condensed at his fingertips like flowing water.

A flash of silver light appeared, and a giant wolf, pure white all over, gracefully leaped out from the star array, its silver fur shimmering against the dark red sky.

"Awoo—!" In an instant, he let out a long howl, his voice filled with excitement.

(Finally, it's my turn to show off!)
