Ah Chen?

As far as I can remember, no one has ever called themselves that before.

Chen Chen raised his head slightly, his eyes filled with confusion. He stared blankly at Lin Muxi, his gaze vacant and empty, as if he were trapped in a chaotic world.

His thoughts seemed to have come to a standstill. He struggled to search his mind for information about the person in front of him, his brain working with difficulty like a rusty gear.

After a long while, a glimmer of clarity flashed in his bewildered eyes, as if he had finally found his way out of the fog and recognized Lin Muxi in front of him.

He slightly parted his lips, a blurry arc forming at the corners, and his lips trembled as he mumbled:
"Little...Little Creek, I...I won't leave you..."

The voice was weak and intermittent, tinged with a heavy intoxication. Upon hearing this, Lin Muxi felt a warm current slowly flowing through her heart, a warmth that instantly filled her entire being.

She gently reached out and grasped Chen Chen's hand; his hands were large but warm and damp from being drunk.

Lin Muxi's voice was as gentle as a spring breeze as she softly said:
"I know, Ah Chen, shall we go home first?"

However, Chen Chen seemed not to hear Lin Muxi's words at all, still staring blankly at her with eyes full of longing, as if Lin Muxi was the only support in his world at this moment, while also showing a bit of stubbornness, as if he was upholding some important promise.

He continued to mutter to himself:
"I will not leave... never..."

Having no other choice, Lin Muxi bent down and tried to slowly help Chen Chen up.

She stretched out her arms and used all her strength to grab Chen Chen's arm, trying to get him to stand up.

Chen Chen was limp and powerless, and he put almost all his weight on Lin Muxi.

Lin Muxi stumbled, her steps faltered, and she nearly fell to the ground.

But she gritted her teeth and held Chen Chen tightly, stubbornly persevering to prevent them both from collapsing.

At this difficult moment, Xu Xiaoli helped Lü Zihan out from behind.

Lu Zihan swayed unsteadily, his head drooping, clearly still immersed in drunkenness.

Xu Xiaoli frowned slightly and said with a helpless expression:

"Muxi, I'll take him back first."

Lin Muxi turned her head slightly, glanced at Xu Xiaoli and Lü Zihan, nodded, her voice slightly hurried as she supported Chen Chen:

"Okay, where are the others?"

Xu Xiaoli quickly replied:

"Senior Yuyang has been taken back to the dormitory by Senior Jiang Tao. Everyone else has also reported that they are safe in the group chat, so don't worry."

Hearing that everyone had arrived home safely, Lin Muxi breathed a slight sigh of relief.
"That's good. Take care on your journey."

Xu Xiaoli responded and then helped Lü Zihan walk away slowly.

At this moment, Lin Muxi's legs began to weaken, and fine beads of sweat appeared on her forehead from the exertion, but she still held Chen Chen firmly.

She whispered in Chen Chen's ear:

"Ah Chen, wake up a little, let's go home together."

Chen Chen seemed to hear Lin Muxi's words, his body shifted slightly, and he muttered:

"Home...going home..."

Even so, his steps were still unsteady, and he relied entirely on Lin Muxi to drag him forward with difficulty.

After finally reaching the door, Lin Muxi laboriously helped Chen Chen sit down on the steps, while she took out her phone to call a car.

The night breeze gently blew, wiping away some of the sweat from her face, but it couldn't dispel her weariness. After hailing a car, Lin Muxi helped Chen Chen up and they walked slowly and laboriously towards the roadside.

Finally, the car arrived. Lin Muxi half-carried and half-supported Chen Chen into the car, and then got in herself.

Sitting in the car, Chen Chen leaned his head on Lin Muxi's shoulder, murmuring incessantly:
"Little Stream...don't leave..."

Lin Muxi gently stroked Chen Chen's hair and said with heartache:
"I'm here, I've always been here, we'll be home soon."

Soon, the car arrived at their place.

Lin Muxi once again struggled to help Chen Chen out of the car and walked upstairs step by step.

The dim, quiet lights in the hallway cast long shadows of them.

Finally opening the door, Lin Muxi helped Chen Chen lie down on the sofa.

Exhausted, she slumped into a chair nearby, panting heavily.

After a while, she got up and went to the kitchen to pour a glass of warm water. She brought it over and gently helped Chen Chen up, saying:

"Achen, have some water."

Chen Chen opened his eyes groggily, looked at Lin Muxi with a hint of clarity in his eyes, took the water glass, drank a few sips of water, and then slowly lay back down.

Lin Muxi looked at Chen Chen, sighed softly, then got up to get a towel, filled a basin with warm water, and prepared to wipe Chen Chen's face.

She sat on the sofa and gently wiped Chen Chen's face with a towel, her movements tender and meticulous.

Chen Chen slightly opened his eyes, looked at Lin Muxi's busy figure, and said with a slight smile, his words muffled:

"Little Creek... thank you..."

Lin Muxi looked at him with a smile.
"Why are you thanking me? You should get some rest."

After wiping her face, Lin Muxi went to find Chen Chen's pajamas, wanting to help him change so he could sleep more comfortably.

Changing into his pajamas wasn't easy. Although Chen Chen was somewhat conscious, his body wouldn't obey him.

Lin Muxi went to great lengths to help him change into his pajamas and cover him with a blanket.

After doing all this, Lin Muxi was exhausted, but when she saw Chen Chen lying quietly on the sofa, a relieved smile appeared on her face.

She sat on the chair next to Chen Chen, watching over him, and before she knew it, she slowly drifted off to sleep.

After an unknown amount of time, Chen Chen sobered up a bit and moved slightly. In his drowsy state, he saw Lin Muxi asleep on the chair next to him.

Her hair was slightly disheveled and fell around her cheeks, and her face still showed signs of fatigue, but even so, in Chen Chen's eyes, she was still stunningly beautiful.

Chen Chen gently reached out to tuck her hair behind her ear, but the movement startled Lin Muxi, who was in a light sleep.

Lin Muxi suddenly raised her head, her sleepy eyes filled with worry. Seeing that Chen Chen was more awake, she breathed a sigh of relief and asked softly:
"Ah Chen, how are you feeling?"

Chen Chen said in a slightly hoarse voice:
"I'm much better, Xiaoxi, thank you for your hard work."

His eyes were filled with guilt and gratitude as he watched Lin Muxi busy herself for him, his heart filled with mixed feelings.

Lin Muxi smiled, stood up to stretch her stiff body, and said:
"It's okay, as long as you're alright. You should get some more sleep, it's still early."

Chen Chen shook his head and struggled to sit up, but Lin Muxi quickly stepped forward to support him.

Chen Chen held Lin Muxi's hand, looked earnestly into her eyes, and said:
"Xiaoxi, I have so much to say to you today, fueled by the alcohol." (End of Chapter)
