Chapter 655 Everyone’s Attention
Dai Chengfeng and his entourage traveled through the Spirit Hall's exclusive passage, with guards clearing the way. The common people could only watch from afar, cheering in turn.

"Your Highness! You must win!"

"Saintess Hulena!"

"Long live His Highness the Holy Son!"

Cheers rose and fell, and Dai Chengfeng smiled and waved to the crowd, drawing even louder cheers.

Ning Rongrong walked beside him and said softly, "Chengfeng, look, everyone supports you."

Dai Chengfeng smiled and said, "It's all because of the teacher."

Although Bibi Dong is incredibly obsessive and driven by revenge in the original story, there is no doubt that she treats ordinary people far better than the two great empires or any other power.

On the other road, Tang San and his group were treated much less well.

Although many people gathered around, most were just there for the spectacle, and very few actually cheered them on.

"That's Tang San, the genius from Shrek Academy? He's really handsome!"

"Isn't that the blond handsome guy next to me Dai Mubai, the former crown prince of the Star Luo Empire? I heard he and His Highness the Holy Son are brothers?"

"This is going to be a good show today, brothers fighting each other, tsk tsk..."

"I heard the casino's odds are 1 to 1.5 for His Highness the Holy Son and 2.5 to 1 for Shrek Academy. They're clearly favoring the Holy Son!"

Hearing the whispers, Dai Mubai's expression turned even more unpleasant.

He was a prince of the Star Luo Empire, and he believed that he was the most outstanding one and should be the center of attention. However, he had now become a compensation in the eyes of others, and this disparity drove him almost mad.

Tang San remained unfazed, as if he hadn't heard anything.

He knew in his heart that reputation was earned through ability.

If we defeat Dai Chengfeng today, all the doubts will turn into praise.

Yu Xiaogang looked at the crowd around him and said in a low voice, "Xiao San, in today's battle, we must win, we cannot lose."

"I know, teacher." Tang San nodded, a resolute glint in his eyes.

The two teams finally arrived at the Arena.

The area outside the arena was packed with people, making it impossible to move.

This showdown had been generating buzz for half a month, with the Holy Son of the Spirit Hall facing off against the Shrek Academy prodigy, and brothers clashing – every element was enough to ignite a frenzy of discussion.

Tickets scalped to exorbitant prices are still difficult to sell.

Ordinary people who couldn't buy tickets crowded outside the stadium, looking up at the huge soul guidance screen, hoping to snag a good spot.

At the entrance to the Arena, the two teams met unexpectedly.

The air seemed to freeze.

Dai Chengfeng and Tang San's gazes collided in mid-air, without sparks, but an invisible pressure spread out.

Both of them wore smiles, but only they could understand the sharpness beneath those smiles.

Dai Mubai stared intently at Dai Chengfeng, his eyes practically spitting fire.

His gaze swept over the four women behind Dai Chengfeng, lingering particularly on Zhu Zhuqing for a moment, his fists clenching so tightly they cracked.

Zhu Zhuqing remained expressionless, but her slightly trembling fingers betrayed her unease.

Ning Rongrong subconsciously moved closer to Dai Chengfeng, while Hu Liena took half a step forward, subtly protecting Dai Chengfeng behind her.

Although Xiao Wu wasn't playing today, she still stared wide-eyed and warily at the other side.

"Brother Dai, it's been a long time." Tang San spoke first, his tone calm.

"Brother Tang, how have you been?" Dai Chengfeng replied with a smile.

Yu Xiaogang stepped forward and stood between the two: "The match is about to begin, let's go in first."

Dai Chengfeng nodded and said nothing more.

Yu Xiaogang gave him a deep look before leading Tang San and his group into the arena.

As he watched their retreating figures, Dai Chengfeng's smile gradually faded.

Inside the lounge, staff had been waiting for quite some time.

Upon their arrival, a cardinal bowed respectfully: "Your Highness, ladies, the competition will begin in half an hour. These are the rules for today's competition; please take a look."

Dai Chengfeng took the scroll, unfolded it, and examined it closely. The rules of the competition were similar to those of ordinary soul battles, but with some special provisions: the use of any soul skills and soul tools was permitted; flight was allowed, but the altitude could not exceed thirty meters; the competition ended when one side was completely incapacitated or surrendered, but intentional death or maiming was strictly prohibited, and violators would be severely punished.

Time passed by, and the atmosphere in the lounge remained relaxed.

"All contestants, please prepare to enter the arena!"

Soon, the voices of staff members could be heard from outside the door.

Dai Chengfeng took a deep breath and stood up.

Sunlight streamed in through the window, gilding him with a golden hue. He looked around at everyone and finally extended his hand.

Hu Liena placed her hand on his, then Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong followed suit, and Xiao Wu joined in the fun by placing her hand on his as well.

"Must win!"

The voices of the five people echoed in the lounge.

The door opened, and blinding sunlight streamed in.

At the end of the passage was a huge arena, filled with the cheers of tens of thousands of spectators. Dai Chengfeng took the lead and stepped towards that light.

His companions followed closely behind him.

Meanwhile, at the other end of the Soul Arena, Tang San also walked out of the rest room.

His blue clothes fluttered slightly in the wind. There was no excitement or tension in his eyes, only a deep and unfathomable calm.

"Mistress, are you ready?" Yu Xiaogang asked.

Tang San nodded and looked towards the center of the Soul Arena.

There, Dai Chengfeng's figure appeared, his silver-white battle robe gleaming in the sunlight.

"Teacher, I will win this battle."

His voice was soft, but incredibly firm.

The two teams emerged from the side passages and slowly walked towards the center of the arena amidst thunderous cheers from the crowd.

In the VIP box, Bibi Dong stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, looking down.

She wasn't wearing her papal robes today, but rather a simple purple dress, her long hair flowing freely, making her appear less imposing and more graceful.

"Your Holiness, the competition is about to begin," a cardinal respectfully reported.

Bibi Dong didn't turn around, but simply gave a soft "hmm".

Her gaze swept through the crowd and landed on that tall, upright figure.

Dai Chengfeng walked at the front, the sunlight gilding him with a golden edge, as if a god had descended.

Bibi Dong's hands tightened slightly.

At the highest point of the Soul Arena, in that inconspicuous corner, Empress Zhu Hongxiu sat quietly.

Close your eyes and pray silently.

Soon, the referee walked to the center of the field. He was a Contra-level powerhouse who had been specially invited to officiate this important match.

"Both players are in position!"

Dai Chengfeng and Tang San stepped forward at the same time and stood at a distance of twenty meters.

"The rules of the competition end when one side is completely incapacitated or concedes defeat. Intentional death or maiming is strictly prohibited and will be severely punished. Do you understand?"

"Understood!" they both replied simultaneously.

The referee looked around, took a deep breath, and raised his right hand.

"Then I declare—"

"Game start!"

The moment the referee finished speaking, the atmosphere in the arena suddenly became tense.

The cheers of tens of thousands of spectators seemed to be blocked by an invisible barrier at this moment, and everyone's attention was focused on the eight figures in the arena.

Tang San did not act immediately. He took a step forward, his voice clear yet carrying an undeniable sharpness:
"Dai Chengfeng, in this battle, I will make you understand that true strength does not come from status or background, but from one's own efforts and abilities."
