Chapter 619 Ning Rongrong's First Kiss
Even after leaving the market, Ning Rongrong was still immersed in the joy of finding a treasure, and she would occasionally raise her hand to look at the jade bracelet on her wrist.

"What great luck I'm having today!"

She couldn't help but repeat herself, then looked at Dai Chengfeng beside her, "If you hadn't come out with me, I definitely would have missed it."

Dai Chengfeng smiled faintly: "It's because you have good eyesight, it has nothing to do with me."

"It's more fun to go shopping with someone."

Ning Rongrong blinked. "If I were alone, I might get bored after a while. How could I possibly keep going until the end?"

As they talked, the two returned to their residence at the Spirit Hall.

Entering the courtyard, Ning Rongrong sat down on the stone bench and laid out the things she had bought that day on the stone table.

Besides the pair of jade bracelets, there were a few other small trinkets, all exquisite but inexpensive items.

Thank you for spending time with me today.

Ning Rongrong looked up at Dai Chengfeng earnestly, "I know you don't like shopping, but I'm very happy that you've spent so much time with me."

The soft light of the setting sun shone on her face, and her usually bright and mischievous eyes were now full of sincerity, less of her usual arrogance, and more of a girl's innocence.

Dai Chengfeng sat down opposite her, resting his elbows on the stone table and looking at her with his chin in his hand:

"Is that all the thanks you're given?"

Ning Rongrong was taken aback: "Otherwise what?"

"I spent the whole afternoon shopping with Miss Ning, my legs are sore from walking, and all I got in return was a 'thank you'?"

Dai Chengfeng raised an eyebrow, a faint smile in his eyes.

Ning Rongrong tilted her head and thought for a moment: "Then... shall I treat you to dinner? There are a few pretty good restaurants in Tiandou City, I..."

“I don’t want to eat,” Dai Chengfeng interrupted her.

"Then what do you want?" Ning Rongrong asked, puzzled.

Dai Chengfeng didn't speak, he just looked at her quietly.

The setting sun cast shadows of varying depths on his face, and his deep eyes appeared particularly focused in the twilight. Ning Rongrong felt a little uncomfortable under his gaze, and a faint blush gradually rose on her face.

"What are you looking at...?"

She looked away, her voice unconsciously softening.

"Look at you."

Dai Chengfeng's voice was soft, yet it possessed a certain magnetic quality that could make one's heart flutter.

The courtyard suddenly fell silent, save for the rustling of leaves in the evening breeze, and a subtle, ambiguous atmosphere seemed to permeate the air...

Ning Rongrong felt her heart beating faster and faster uncontrollably.

She stood up, feigning composure: "It's getting late, I'll go back to my room now, tomorrow..."

However, before she could finish speaking, Dai Chengfeng also stood up.

Dai Chengfeng was a head taller than her, and when he stood in front of her, the shadow he cast almost completely enveloped her.

Ning Rongrong subconsciously took a half step back, but he gently grabbed her wrist.

"Why are you running?" Dai Chengfeng asked in a low voice.

"I...I didn't run away..."

Ning Rongrong tried to pull her hand away, but he held it even tighter.

"Then tell me, how should you thank me?"

Dai Chengfeng asked again, his voice tinged with amusement.

Ning Rongrong's mind was in a mess; she had never experienced anything like this before.

Back in the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School, she was the pampered young lady everyone doted on. Boys her age either treated her with great awe or tried to curry favor with her. No one ever did things like Dai Chengfeng—neither pampering her like the others, nor easily disturbing her peace of mind.

"I-I don't know..."

She lowered her head, her voice barely audible.

Dai Chengfeng gently lifted her chin, forcing her to look him in the eye.

When Ning Rongrong saw her reflection in his eyes, her cheeks flushed and her eyes darted around in a panic, completely losing her usual arrogant demeanor.

“I’ll teach you,” he said.

Then, he slowly lowered his head.

Ning Rongrong's eyes widened as she watched his face grow larger and larger before her, her mind going blank. She should have pushed him away, she should have scolded him for his insolence, she should have... but her body seemed frozen in place, unable to move.

The warm touch landed on my forehead, very light, like a dragonfly skimming the water.

Ning Rongrong was stunned.

Dai Chengfeng's kisses moved from the forehead to the center of the brow, and then to the tip of the nose. Each kiss was incredibly gentle, carrying a sense of cherishing.

Ning Rongrong felt as if her heart was about to jump out of her chest, and her breathing became erratic.

Finally, his lips stopped just above hers, only an inch away.

Their breaths mingled, and Ning Rongrong could smell his faint, refreshing scent, a blend of sunshine and the fragrance of grass and trees.

"Close your eyes."

He spoke in a low voice, his tone coaxing.

Ning Rongrong instinctively closed her eyes.

Then, his lips finally touched hers.

At first, it was just a gentle touch, like a feather brushing against you.

Ning Rongrong trembled, her fingers unconsciously clenching his clothes.

Dai Chengfeng's movements were slow and gentle, filled with endless patience, as if he were savoring some delicacy.

Ning Rongrong had never had such an experience before.

She felt the whole world spinning, all sounds fading away, leaving only the pounding of her heart and the soft touch on her lips.

His breath completely enveloped her...

After an unknown amount of time, Dai Chengfeng stepped back slightly.

Ning Rongrong slowly opened her eyes, her gaze misty with tears, staring blankly at him, seemingly still reeling from the shock she had just experienced.

Her lips were glistening with moisture from the kisses, slightly swollen and red, making her look exceptionally alluring.

Dai Chengfeng's eyes darkened, and he lowered his head to kiss her again.

This time it was no longer as gentle as before, but carried a certain restrained aggression.

He wrapped one arm around her waist, pulling her closer, and with the other hand, he cradled the back of her head, deepening the kiss.

Ning Rongrong let out a sob and went limp in his arms, completely losing the strength to resist.

She responded awkwardly, her hands already wrapped around his neck, her fingertips digging into the hair at the back of his head.

A gentle evening breeze blew, and the setting sun cast long shadows of the two people, overlapping on the bluestone ground as if they were one.

After a long while, Dai Chengfeng finally released her.

Ning Rongrong leaned against his chest, panting heavily. Her cheeks were flushed red, her eyes were glistening with tears, and her lips were slightly swollen. She looked like she had been badly bullied.

"you you……"

She wanted to say something, but found her voice was incredibly soft, carrying a coquettish tone that she herself didn't even realize.

Dai Chengfeng chuckled softly, his chest trembling slightly: "What about me?"

"You bully people!"

Ning Rongrong finally found her voice, but it lacked power and sounded more like she was being coquettish.

"Is this what you call bullying?" Dai Chengfeng raised an eyebrow, his fingers gently tracing her slightly swollen lips. "How about this?"

As he spoke, he lowered his head and gave her a light peck on the lips.

Ning Rongrong shoved him away like a startled rabbit, took several steps back, covered her mouth, and glared at him:
"You, you scoundrel!"

Dai Chengfeng looked at her with a smile: "Who was it that wouldn't let go of me just now?"

"I-I didn't!"

Ning Rongrong's face turned even redder. She did remember her response just now, which made her so embarrassed that she wanted to find a crack in the ground to crawl into.

Okay, no.

Dai Chengfeng readily agreed, his smile widening.

Ning Rongrong looked at his mischievous smile, feeling both embarrassed and annoyed. She stomped her foot and said, "I'm ignoring you!"

After saying that, he turned and ran. In his panic, he almost tripped over the stone bench and stumbled. Without looking back, he rushed into his room and slammed the door shut.
