Chapter 351 361 Crimson Flame Emperor Banner, Dragon Venerable Buddha!

Chapter 351 361 Crimson Flame Emperor Banner, Dragon Venerable Buddha!
The term "幢" (chuáng) is derived from the Sanskrit word "Dhavajra" or "Ketu," and is synonymous with "banner." It resembles a flag or banner, with strips hanging down, creating a majestic, canopy-like effect.

A fierce general raises a banner to symbolize victory; therefore, the Dharma banner is used as a metaphor for the teachings of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, which can subdue the demonic army of afflictions of sentient beings.

Later, when a school of thought is established within Buddhism, it is called establishing a Dharma banner. When propagating the great Dharma, banners are erected in front of the temple gate; these are called Dharma banners or Dharma pennants.

There was also a Tathagata who used a jeweled banner to represent the aspiration for enlightenment. He used the vow of omniscience as his banner and subdued the demons under the Bodhi tree, hence the name jeweled banner.

At this moment, the all-seeing spirit is seated cross-legged in the center of the lotus world, under the Bodhi tree.

The Heavenly King removed his armor and transformed into banners, just as the Buddha established a Dharma assembly in Tushita Heaven, where the wondrous Dharma resounded throughout the void and spread across Mount Sumeru.

It turns out that he is about to instantly become a Buddha and advance to the second primordial embryo!

"Not a Grandmaster yet? This person isn't a Grandmaster? Li Cunxiao?!"

"No, that's not right. That's Qici dealing with the Zanpu. It must be, it must be, it's definitely like that!"

Renzeng was no longer able to think; he was just talking to himself like a madman.

Lunzhu was slightly better off than him. Looking up at the increasingly powerful aura in the sky, he ordered the soldiers to stop their attack, a bitter smile on his face.

No chance.

They had felt that familiar feeling six months ago when the emperor had just emerged from seclusion; it was a sign of advancing to the Grandmaster realm.

Whether or not Li Cunxiao is the one who breaks through now, the outcome makes no difference to Tibet.

If the other party is not the one who fought the Zanpu, it means there must be another grandmaster in the shadows.
If the other party is indeed that person, setting aside the absurd notion of someone at the seventh realm level being able to contend with an eighth realm grandmaster, the remaining methods are beyond their ability to counter.

At this moment, Lunzhu was in a state of utter confusion, not even knowing whether to pray for the other party's success or failure.

Behind him, thousands of soldiers were in an uproar, some even kneeling down.

"What are you doing? That's our enemy, the enemy of Buddha, the demon!"

"Don't be fooled by the cunning people from the Central Plains!"

"But if the Zanpu is the true Buddha or Bodhisattva, where is he now? Why doesn't he come out to subdue that demon?"

"Didn't you see that? That's the Buddha's Dharma banner. A supreme enlightened one is about to attain enlightenment before us!"

“Since the attainment of enlightenment, the King of the Tripa has never given any teachings or sermons to us. Yet, we have the opportunity to hear the teachings of our revered Guru right before our eyes. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!”

"I bow to the Khutuktu, please save my sick mother!"

"Living Buddha."

As the strange phenomena in the sky grew ever larger, more and more Tibetan soldiers knelt on the ground, and no matter how the chieftains shouted at them, it was to no avail.

Li Cunxiao's primordial spirit captured all of this, but his heart remained calm and undisturbed.

The public display of divine power was merely a means to subdue Tibet; true breakthrough required complete focus and concentration.

Since the completion of the "Ancient Scripture of the Supreme Deity of the Azure Heaven" and the blessing of "acting on behalf of Heaven to punish," becoming a Grandmaster has no longer been a difficult task for him.

The reason why it took so long to develop the Taoist Dharma image is twofold: firstly, everything is difficult at the beginning, and secondly, the Dharma image of the Ten Directions Salvation Heavenly Venerable is too powerful.

But now that he has already gone through the process of reshaping his body, it is naturally a piece of cake for him, especially with the power of the Vajra Pestle to enhance him.

Therefore, his ambitions are even greater this time.

Li Cunxiao had already discovered that compared to the "Ten Directions Salvation Sutra," which was based on several divine skills, the "Western Protector of the World Great Dragon Wide-Eyed Heavenly King Sutra" lacked some foundation. At that time, he had the idea of deducing and optimizing it.

Now, the three principal deities of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism are only missing the attainment of the Buddhist Dharma form. Once they achieve this, they can try the method of evolving the Dharma assembly of the "Three Altars and Sea Assembly True Scripture". To upgrade their Dharma form, they naturally cannot delay any longer.

Therefore, taking advantage of the opportunity to kill the Tibetan king, Li Cunxiao not only wanted to break through to the level of a grandmaster in Buddhism, but also to transform the Dharma protector king into the Buddha, thus forging the strongest foundation in the world!
"The jeweled banner is like hundreds of millions of Mount Sumerus, and the jeweled curtains on the banner are like the palace of Yama, and it is further adorned with five hundred billion exquisite jewels."

"In Tushita Heaven there are five great gods. The first great god is named Baozhuang, who can rain down seven treasures from his body, scattering them within the palace walls. Each jewel transforms into a musical instrument, suspended in the void, playing without being struck."

Five guardian deities appeared one by one, and boundless pure energy transformed into Bodhisattvas destined for Buddhahood, within the Lotus Courtyard;
Outside the Lotus Garden, above the flowers and leaves, there is boundless demonic energy that transforms into the Eight Guardian Deities of the Heavenly Dragons, protecting the inner garden.

In the center of the Lotus Garden, the banner had somehow become one with the Bodhi tree.

They use tree trunks as flagpoles and tree crowns as hanging prayer flags.

The Heavenly King of Wide Vision, with his hands clasped together, sat cross-legged, and a crimson dragon flame emanated from his body through his breath—

boom!
The flames, representing essence, energy, spirit, and the principles of Dharma, instantly started from the roots of the tree and spread throughout the entire Lotus Courtyard, as well as the entire Bodhi tree.

Anyone could see that the moment had come. Whether it was the Tibetan soldiers kneeling or standing, or the Daoist soldiers on the imperial dragon's path, they all held their breath.

The next moment, the flames receded like a tide, and the magnificent sight before them almost made everyone's hearts stop beating.

The big sound is loud, the elephant is invisible.

The Tushita Heaven Palace, entirely sculpted from glazed tiles, floats in the sky, its eaves and brackets, pillars and hipped roofs, all receiving the full radiance of the sun.

For a moment, it was impossible to tell whether the palace was in the midst of the sun, or whether the palace's radiance created the illusion of the sun.

The flames shrank inch by inch from this pure land of crystal, gilding the guardian spirits and bodhisattvas with a layer of golden light, until finally shrinking into a Mani jewel, suspended atop the golden-red crimson banner.

Beneath the Dharma banner, the Buddha stood solemnly, his hair adorned with a crown of seven jewels, and he wore a black robe upon which hundreds of millions of golden dragons roamed.

One finger points to the sky, the other to the earth. In heaven and on earth, I alone am supreme.

The red flames symbolize the fierce fire of wisdom, which overcomes all afflictions; the imperial banner is its commander. The meaning is that the fire of wisdom burns away all the fuel of afflictions, leaving none untouched.

The dragon symbolizes the unimpeded flow of the three realms; in the world, it roams freely throughout the three realms, capable of anything. Those who attain Buddhahood are like great dragons, hence they are called the Supreme King of Dragons, the most revered among all practitioners who aspire to become "great dragons."

Crimson Flame Emperor Banner, Dragon King Buddha!
“Tathagata!”

"Buddha!"

“Living Buddha!”

“Living Buddha!”

“Living Buddha!”

The almost frenzied chanting echoed through the snow-capped mountains. No Tibetan soldier could remain standing; thousands crawled on their knees, prostrating themselves in worship.

Renzeng and Lunzhu felt a chill run down their spines and their hearts turned to ashes as they watched this scene.

Tibet is finished!

"Is that... is that the magistrate?"

"Yes, that's him! That's our envoy, our general!"

"I knew the general was a reincarnation of a Buddha or Bodhisattva; he came down to the mortal realm to build a Pure Land!"

"General, you are invincible! General, you are truly invincible!"

"."

The soldiers of the Imperial Dragon Guard were greatly encouraged, not much better than the barbarian soldiers. They looked up at the image of the Buddha as if they were worshipping a god. Their original respect was now mixed with an unshakable worship.

Our general is destined by Heaven!
With a thud, Gyaltsen collapsed to the ground, closing his eyes in agony. He was a high-ranking official in Ü-Tsang, a follower of the Tsangpo, but also a sober warrior.

With the leader dead, and given the devout Buddhist practices of the indigenous people of the Snow Mountains, wherever Li Cunxiao goes, as long as he is willing to humble himself and reveal his true form, they will willingly submit.

The term "Living Buddha" carries immense weight for this land.

"Yesterday's cause is today's effect; if the former king had not governed the country with Buddhism, we would not be where we are today."

"It is fate and destiny. The country is on the verge of collapse, and the ruler is disgraced while his subjects die. How can I possibly live on?"

With a determined heart, Jianzan recklessly attacked the restrictions within his body, using the fluctuations to gather his meager true essence into his palm, ready to strike the top of his head.

"Though the king is dead, the people are still here."

"It would be easy for you to die, of course. Perhaps with the blessing of my elder brother's ascension to Buddhahood, you could be reborn into a good family in your next life."

Li Guangyi's face was filled with sarcasm, and with just one sentence, he broke Jianzan's defenses. The latter's eyes turned red, and he roared repeatedly:

"What kind of expression is that?! What kind of look is that?!"

"You Qin people, who enjoy the rich and fertile Central Plains, have no idea of the poverty of Tibet!"

"What I am today is what you will be tomorrow; those who subdue others by force will naturally be defeated by the stronger in the future."

Li Guangyi, however, had no patience to listen to a barbarian general's complaints and interrupted him directly:
"What if I told you that you too could become Qin people and live in the Central Plains?"

Gyaltsen was stunned.

"What did you say? Don't expect the descendants of Xiangxiong to be your laborers and cannon fodder!"

Upon hearing this, Li Guangyi remained silent. He spurred his horse, Chi Li, and led the Imperial Guards towards the royal city, disarming and capturing the barbarian soldiers one by one.

The latter, however, did not react to this; they simply gazed up at the sky, their eyes never leaving it.

The crimson Dharma banners shone brightly as the Buddha walked, and celestial flowers and goddesses paved a road that stretched for miles, all the way to the royal city.

Nobles and commoners alike, countless barbarians knelt on the ground, feeling the pure spiritual energy condensed from the celestial flowers falling down, their eyes filled with tears of excitement, millions of eyes watching the crimson banner fluttering at the highest point of the palace.

Tibet has changed hands!

Ten days later, in the Dragon King's City.

This is the new name given by the Tibetan people to the original capital city of Ü-Tsang, meaning that this place is the place where the Naga King Buddha attained enlightenment and preached.

The original palace walls of the royal city have all been demolished. The square, which could hold 10,000 people, is now densely packed with people like ants, forming concentric circles until a jarring circular blank space is revealed.

It’s Li Cunxiao.

He wore a simple monk's robe, was barefoot, and had skin as smooth as glass, with a dignified and solemn appearance.

As the lips moved and the Dharma sound echoed, extraordinary phenomena occurred, such as flowers falling from the sky and golden lotuses springing from the ground.

He would occasionally call out to someone in the crowd, smile and gesture, and the person would involuntarily recount their tragic past.

Harsh environment, greedy and cruel chieftains, hypocritical monks, and countless serfs.
These people often burst into tears after only a few words.

At this point, Li Guangyi would seize the opportunity to have the imperial guards bring out some nobles dressed in silk and adorned with jeweled jewelry, loudly read out their crimes, and then behead them on the spot.

The cheers were like waves, erupting from one place and surging to another, eventually resounding throughout the royal city.

"The Buddha once prophesied that in the Dharma-ending Age, Mara's descendants would wear robes and corrupt the Dharma."

"The world today is such a cruel era. You may not know, but the people of the Central Plains are also suffering terribly."

“Those feudal lords and military governors, just like your chieftains, whip children’s skin and rip out their flesh with sharp knives, doing things as cruel as demons.”

“Gyaltsen claims to be your Dharma King, but why doesn’t he use his supernatural powers to heal diseases, or drive away the cold and hunger for you?”

"Because Jiazuru is the demon king of Paranirmitavasavartin, he wants you to die in agony and destroy the righteous path in the world. This is a sin that will lead you to hell!"

“But I have come here to convert you. If you follow me, you can leave this bitter and cold place.”

"As long as you bravely fight against the demon army, you will reap good rewards: land, houses, clothing, food—you will have everything, and your children will no longer be slaves."

Li Cunxiao continued to boast without batting an eye. It's hard to say how much of what he said was true and how much was false, but the effects of his words have been proven in recent days.

For believers, superstition is the best weapon.

As long as he can subdue Tibet without bloodshed, becoming a charlatan is no big deal for him.

Besides, while Mara may be an imposter, the food and clothing he promised are genuine.

With his mastery of power, any Tibetan nobles who harbored disloyalty were all implicated and exiled, their property confiscated and distributed to serfs and the poor.

Those who knew what was good for them didn't need to be urged; they readily gave up all their family property to accumulate merit.

Li Cunxiao would not be stingy with praise for such outstanding representatives, praising them publicly at the Dharma assembly and demonstrating his supernatural ability to gather qi and form elixirs to heal their injuries and illnesses with immediate results.

It's no exaggeration to say that the results of these ten days of work are almost equivalent to half a year of hard work in Wenzhou and Fuzhou.

To put it bluntly, it was because these Tibetan nobles were too inhumane, and the ordinary Tibetans lived too hard a life, yet they lacked the military strength to resist.

With Li Cunxiao's arrival, the living standards of these cattle and horses were equivalent to ascending directly from the animal realm, the hell realm, and the hungry ghost realm to the highest heaven. It would be strange if they were not grateful to him!

At the same moment, Renzeng and Lunzhu, almost naked, were tied to the city wall, gazing at the bustling Buddhist assembly in the royal city.

In just a few days, the two men were skin and bones, covered in wounds, looking as if they had aged decades in an instant, showing no trace of their former general's imposing presence.

The former, his voice hoarse, looked at Jianzan, who stood silently atop the city wall, his face filled with hatred and resentment:

"Traitor who betrayed his Lord for personal gain! You will go to hell sooner or later!"

Jianzan remained silent, ignoring the curses, and turned to pick up a long knife, pouring the strong liquor over it.

He cleanly and decisively severed Renzeng's head.

"Kill nobles, distribute wealth, hold Buddhist ceremonies, and win people's hearts."

"By combining kindness and severity, the whole country submits."

“This Prefect Li has great ambitions, I firmly believe. How far do you think you can go?”

Lunzhu's expression was much calmer, as if she didn't care about her impending death.

“I can’t go very far, but at least I can protect the people of Xiangxiong.”

"If Tibet could become part of the Qin Dynasty, it would fulfill the king's wish."

Having said that, he raised his knife and brought it down, his head rolling off the city wall like a ball, where it was trampled and cursed by the fanatical barbarians.

Gyaltsen swung his knife to wipe away the blood, watching all this with no joy or sorrow in his eyes, only looking towards the tall figure in the center of the Dharma assembly.

He slowly lowered his head.
