Chapter 9 Gwen and Peter are about to start their high school life

"Hey! I heard Sheriff Stacy solved a big case. How about we go have a drink together?"

"Next time, Jesse." George shook his head at his colleague's invitation. "I still have to go check on the injured guys."

"How is it? Is it serious?"

"It's okay. At least he was conscious when he got in the ambulance."

"In that case, let's do it next time. Remember to bring peace to me."

"I'll definitely bring you there, old buddy." After separating from his colleagues, George came to the door of the locker room. Just as he was about to push the door open, he heard someone talking inside.

"You mean the madman who blew up a street was released on bail?"

George, who was about to push open the locker room door, paused.

"Yeah, I heard from my friend who works in the prison that a big shot came and was picked up after paying bail."

"FK! I really don't know if we are the police or kidnappers, who will release people if we pay them some money."

"Just tell me this kind of nonsense, and don't say it again next time. Oh, you'll get used to it after you do it for a while."

George squeezed the door handle hard, then pushed the door open and walked in. The two people in the locker room immediately fell silent when they saw someone coming in.

"Sheriff Stacy." ×2 The two greeted George immediately after seeing him coming in.

"It's time to get off work. Don't be so restrained." George waved his hand.

"Well, Chief Stacy, we're leaving first. See you tomorrow," one of the officers said.

"Well, see you tomorrow." George came to his closet and pretended not to hear anything.

The two police officers felt relieved and quickly left the locker room.

The door of the locker room was closed, and the footsteps of the two police officers became farther and farther away until they disappeared.

"Bang!" George's fist hit the iron wardrobe heavily, but George's fist finally loosened weakly, and his straight back bent down.

"What's wrong, Sheriff Stacy?" Luke sat on the hospital bed and looked at George who was in a bad mood.

"Oh? Oh! Nothing, just a little tired." George came back to his senses, rubbed his temple with one finger, pretending to be very sleepy.

Luke looked at the exhausted George and said with a smile, "Then don't accompany me. Go back and rest early. I'm really fine."

After Luke finished speaking, he struck a Hercules pose, but the movement affected his wound, causing him to grimace in pain.

"I'm really okay," Luke gritted his teeth, trying to look healthy.

"Okay, take good care of your injuries. I can't do without a brave general like you." Looking at Luke's appearance, George was amused by him even though he was not in a good mood. He stood up, patted him on the shoulder, and said goodbye to Luke.

After leaving the hospital, George returned to his car, took out a cigarette and put it in his mouth. He found that the lighter was not in the cigarette box. He searched his pockets but couldn't find it. He sighed helplessly and began to look for it in the car.

He opened the sun visor and a photo fell into his lap. His eyes softened when he saw the photo.

It was a photo of Gwen. In the photo, Gwen was sitting in front of the drum set, smiling and making a "V" sign to him. If you looked closely, you could see the gap between her teeth.

"Gwen will be going to high school soon, and I should prepare a gift for her. Oh, and for that brat Peter." George stroked the photo, his gentle eyes gradually became firm. He put the photo away, put the cigarette back into the cigarette box, started the car, and drove home under the moonlight.

"A new pair of drumsticks would be nice. Gwen would love that."

"New drumsticks! You are so thoughtful, harpy!" Gwen looked at the gift brought by Yang Le in surprise.

"As long as you like it. I remember you said that the old one was a bit uncomfortable to use. How about the new one?" Yang Le looked at Gwen expectantly, waiting for her evaluation.

Gwen waved the drumsticks a few times, and the drumsticks flew up and down in her hands.

"It's great, it's like it was tailor-made for me." Gwen couldn't let go of the new drumsticks.

'It's tailor-made for you,' Yang Le thought to himself.

Of course, Yang Le doesn't have this ability. You can ask him to make chopsticks, but difficult things like drumsticks should be left to him after he turns into an alien.

Although Azmis only gave him five aliens at the beginning, the distribution of these five aliens was reasonable and could basically cope with most situations. They should have been carefully selected by Azmis.

The five aliens are Taizhuoman (Four-Handed Overlord), Manseruoxiancao (Swamp Fire), Pezhuoshaping (Diamond God of War), Saigmantashaping (Brick Ape) and Planchakule (Ghost).

Gwen's drumsticks are made of a mixture of materials made by the pixies. Although most of the raw materials come from garbage, their toughness has been tested by the Four-Handed Overlord and ordinary humans can definitely not break them.

When making the drumsticks, Yang Le also felt that the alien genes were also influencing him. For example, the alien always wanted to install a laser transmitter in the drumsticks. Even if Yang Le tried hard not to think about it, his hands would unconsciously make modifications in that direction.

The same goes for the Four-Handed Overlord. When doing the test, he kept struggling with the drumstick. It was obvious that a slight test would be enough, but he had to break the drumstick.

Yang Le was exhausted because of the drumstick, and of course the other aliens also had an impact on Yang Le.

Swampfire gave him the feeling of being like DC's Martian Manhunter, very polite and courteous even when facing dangerous criminals like Thriller.

Diamond War God and Brick Monkey have the least impact on him, and Brick Monkey can be said to have no impact at all.

However, this effect gradually decreases as he transforms more times.

"Hey, harpy! What are you thinking about? Did you hear what I just said?" Gwen patted Yang Le who was daydreaming.

Yang Le, who was just recalling the bloody history of drumsticks, was brought back to his senses by Gwen's pat.

"What's wrong?" Yang Le looked at Gwen in a daze.

"Gwen asked if you wanted to watch her play the drums," Peter explained.

"Look! Of course I have to look. When?" Yang Le said quickly, looking at Gwen who frowned.

"How about today? Uncle Ben is preparing a school entrance party for us, and Aunt Mei will make a table full of delicious food. Honey, you should come too." Peter looked at Yang Le hopefully, obviously looking forward to Yang Le's participation in the party.

"no problem."

"Really, that's great. Uncle Ben and the others will definitely like you." Peter became delighted when he heard Yang Le agreed. Gwen was also very happy, but she was obviously not ready to let Yang Le go who had just ignored her.

"Oh, thank you so much for your kindness, busy man." Gwen deliberately spoke in a strange tone. Yang Le smiled ingratiatingly at first, then quickly pulled Peter aside to talk.

"By the way, Peter, do you like the gift I gave you?" Gwen felt helpless as she looked at Yang Le trying to change the subject. She could only clench her fist and wave her hand as a threat.
