Chapter 866: Bain Feels Everything is Under Control
Bane at this moment was much smaller than the last time Robin saw him. If it weren't for the iconic mask and fierce temperament, Robin might not even recognize him.
After observing for a while, Robin understood that the reason why Bane was so thin was that he was not looking at the venom potion. Bane's right hand was empty at this time.
A normal Bane always wears a special wristband on his right or left hand, which contains a sufficient dose of venom potion.
There will also be a tube connecting the wristband and the hood, and then under Bane's control, the potion will be transported into his body, thereby greatly improving his combat effectiveness.
But now Bane was not wearing his equipment. He was wearing only dirty ordinary clothes and a nondescript rifle, looking extremely disheveled.
It seems that Bane is not having an easy time on Santa Prisca Island now, while the Cobra Cult that is fighting with Bane and others obviously looks much more glamorous. Based on this information alone, Robin is able to make a simple judgment.
The battle continues as Robin observes, but with the addition of Young Justice, the group has undergone new changes.
Bane's gang and the Cobra Cult are mostly ordinary people. Although they all have guns in their hands, these things are not enough in front of superhumans.
Young Master Hai pulled out a water container to gather moisture from the air. He controlled the water to sweep towards the Cobra Cult's minions like a python, and in a few strokes, they were completely wiped out.
Wonder Girl was even more direct. She blocked all the bullets with her wristband and then knocked down all the members of Bane's gang one by one with her punches. In less than a minute, Bane was the only one left on the field.
Bane still has some skills, and can fight with Wonder Girl even without the venom injection, but the gap in strength is too big for him to overcome, and he is killed in a few seconds.
The Young Justice League resolved the battle like an autumn wind sweeping away fallen leaves. Seeing the battle over, Robin, who had been watching, came out with a rope. Then it was time for interrogation.
Because there were two telepaths in their team, it would be most efficient to interrogate them separately. Robin asked Aquaman to pour water on a Cobra cult member and Bane to wake them up.
Of course, in line with the Humanitarian Justice League's requirements, even in the presence of a telepath, a general verbal inquiry must be conducted first, and special abilities can only be used when it is impossible to see.
Robin naturally had to abide by this rule, so he symbolically asked Bane in front of him.
"Tell me, Bane, what exactly happened on Santa Prisca Island?"
"Oh, isn't that the bird next to Batman?" Bane raised his wet head. "I thought they were just some little brats from out of nowhere. What's going on? Your boss doesn't want you anymore? Are you forced to form your own team?"
"What are you? The Justice League?"
"We're the Young Justice League." Kid Flash clearly couldn't stand Bane's provocation. "You said we were just brats, but how did you get defeated by a bunch of brats?"
"Hahaha!" Bane laughed heartily. It was obvious that Kid Flash's reply did not break his defense. Compared with his more than ten years in prison, Kid Flash's insult was as insignificant as a mosquito bite.
"Well, I lost, I lost. I don't have much to say." Bane laughed for a moment and then stopped. "Go ahead. What do you want to know?" "Everything about Santa Prisca Island." Robin's face was stern, and he didn't even realize that he was subconsciously imitating Batman in some places.
"That's too long, kid. Batman wouldn't ask that," Bane said with a wide grin. "The Justice League wouldn't send a bunch of you guys here for no reason. Apparently, they found out about what I did on Santa Prisca Island."
"That means the matter of the Venom factory has been exposed to the Justice League. They are truly a bunch of vultures that can't be shaken off."
Bain's insulting metaphor made the children with elders present frown. The reason why they embarked on this path was basically because of their admiration for their elders, so they could not tolerate their elders being insulted.
Robin took the first step. He pulled out his bat dart and stuck it into the tree behind Bane, saying in a cold voice.
"It seems you don't know what to say. We will have to resort to extreme measures, Martian girl."
The Martian girl closed her eyes upon hearing this, apparently using telepathy, but soon she opened her eyes again with a frown.
"No, Bane's mind is full of irrelevant things. He's trying to circumvent my telepathy by memorizing formulas and sports results. It's impossible to get something from his mind without hurting him."
Bane smiled with disdain. As someone who could force Batman into a corner, he must have some skills. Telepathy is indeed useful, but the moral level of the Justice League is too high. Giving them this ability is simply a waste of talent.
"It seems that you haven't learned the essence of the old bat, little bird." Bane mocked, but he also felt that it was about time.
Bane knew that he was a prisoner, but even so he could not sit still and wait for death. Bane had lost many times in his life, but he knew that he was truly defeated only when he admitted defeat in his heart.
So even if he was on the weaker side, Bane had to hold the initiative in his own hands. What he had just done was to dampen the enthusiasm of these kids.
After his verbal offensive, the rhythm of these children has been disrupted. What Bane needs to do now is to seize the initiative so that he can continue to do things.
Just now, Bain has come up with a good idea. He wants to use these little brats to take back his factory, or at least his equipment.
Just when Bane thought everything was going according to his plan, he suddenly felt a tightness on his neck, and the next second the tightness turned into a feeling of suffocation.
Robin and the others were even more shocked. They saw the Harpy, who had disappeared for half a day, suddenly appear, and then wrapped his long tail around Bane's neck and hung him up.
With his hands tied, Bane had no choice but to kick his legs in the air like a grasshopper.
"What are you doing?" Robin reached out hastily. "Put him down!"
The harpy was also obedient and put Bane down immediately. The latter sat on the ground and breathed in the air in big gulps, looking like a fish lying on a chopping board.
