Chapter 852 Double-edged Sword

The Joker was very sad. Not long ago, he decided to set off fireworks for Batman, and he stole money from the Penguin to buy explosives. He didn't expect that Batman was so tactless that he actually invited other people to join the game between them.

He had deliberately set the bomb's explosion time to be very generous, but he didn't expect that lunatic to be so boring.

The disappointed Joker wandered aimlessly on the streets of Gotham. When he glanced at the alley beside him, he found that someone was committing a crime in the alley.

A cowardly man, a gun, a panicked woman, and a bag. It was a truly unoriginal crime.

The Joker smiled. He thought that maybe he had been too gentle recently and Batman had forgotten the excitement between them. How could this be possible? He would not accept the seven-year itch between them.

The saying that art comes from life is really true. Maybe it's time for bats to try something a little more exciting.

Thinking of this, the clown's mood became much better. He grabbed the crutch from the clown's gang next to him and walked towards the alley with the gentleman dance steps that were the favorite of the actors in suits and ties in the modern era.

The purple cane kept spinning in his hand. The whirring sound of it breaking through the air, coupled with the clown's laughter, attracted the attention of the two people in the alley.

At this moment, both the robber and the victim showed expressions of horror. Green hair, pale smiling face, purple suit, there is only one person in the whole Gotham, or even in the whole world who would dress like this.

"Hahaha!" The clown walked lightly to the man and woman who were hugging each other for warmth, and extended his right hand to them.

"Thank you both for your contributions to art. Please allow me to offer my highest regards to both artists. Come shake hands."

The man looked at the electric shock device displayed openly on the clown's palm. Just when he was wondering whether he should give it a try and maybe there would be a way out, he found that a dark shadow was standing behind the clown.

"Huh?" The clown seemed to have noticed something. He turned his head and saw a thick stick expanding in his sight.

"boom!"

A good sound is a good start. The Joker fell down and fell to the wet floor of Gotham like a broken doll.

"Take him away."

The black shadow took two steps forward and walked out of the shadows into the already dim light in the alley. The man and woman then realized that the person who came was not Batman, but a tall man wearing a hockey mask.

Several people walked out from the shadows. Because of the man's strong physique, neither the man nor the woman noticed that there were several more people behind him. These people were wearing the same clothes and it was obvious that they were from the same organization.

"Get rid of these two guys too." The athlete put away his bat and left the alley without looking back. Behind him was the clown carrying a quilt wrapped in a sack, and two dull gunshots.

The group of clowns guarding the entrance of the alley had long disappeared, and it was unknown whether they were eliminated or escaped.

...

"Wow!"

The cold water splashed on his face, and the clown opened his eyes immediately. The first thing he felt when he woke up was the pain in his forehead and the dizziness in his brain.

After wiping his face and rubbing his injured forehead, the clown staggered to his feet and found himself in a dark space.

"Kidnapping? Secret chamber?" The Joker said with a hint of disgust. "That's really unoriginal. Is it going to be a sudden flash of white light followed by a mysterious figure in black silhouette?" "Bang!"

Just as the Joker said, the dark room suddenly lit up. The Joker turned around and found that the light was not coming from a light bulb, but from several projection screens.

"Oh, okay." The Joker threw his hands in disgust. "One mysterious man turned into six, which is even more disgusting."

"Joker." A man spoke first from the front screen. "We need a favor from you. If you don't, we'll kill you."

"No bargaining involved." The clown chuckled. "It sounds like I have no reason to refuse."

"You really didn't." A woman's voice came from the opening on the left screen.

"We need you to attract the attention of the Justice League." The person in the main seat continued.

"Of course, we know this isn't an easy task, so we've assigned some personnel to you. All you have to do is try to make as much noise as possible."

The clown's expression gradually changed from excitement to disappointment as the man spoke, and finally he sighed and said.

"Boring, really boring. Why do so many people think that only big events can create big commotion?"

The clown shrugged and shook his head, looking like he was the only one sober while everyone else was drunk, but no one was angry at him.

"I understand. Do you mean to refuse?"

As the man spoke, a man walked out from the corner of the room. It was the athlete who tied up the clown. He pulled a baseball bat from the bag behind his back and tapped his palm with ill intent while walking towards the clown.

"I mean, I agreed." The clown still had that smiling look on his face, as if the person who had just walked through the gates of hell was not him, but someone he didn't know.

"A wise decision," the man said. "The athlete will give you the detailed information later. Remember, your mission is to attract attention. Don't do anything else."

It can be seen that even though the man looks like he has everything under control, he is still afraid of the clown's uncontrollability. After all, no one knows what the clown will do next.

"Formula?" The Joker pouted. "I don't like it, but you're the employer, Savage."

The Joker revealed the man's hidden identity in one sentence, which made the scene return to silence again. After a while, Savage, who was in the main seat, took the initiative to remove the hidden identity.

"How did you find out?" Savage's expression remained unchanged. He was not afraid of his identity being exposed, but he was still very curious about how he was exposed.

"There's only one person in the world who speaks in that condescending tone." The clown took out a pull ring from his pocket, and when he pulled it open, colorful ribbons sprayed out. He was celebrating that he had answered the question correctly.

Savage was silent. This was also the reason why he didn't want to choose the Joker. Although he was a psychopath, he was too smart. But it was also for this reason that the Justice League would never ignore every action of the Joker.

The Joker is a double-edged sword for him, but Savage believes he won't hurt himself.

The clown was still smiling as he was taken away by the athlete. Before leaving, he waved goodbye to everyone in the room. That look made those who claimed to be elites in the room feel uneasy.
