Chapter 668 Night Tours Are Dangerous

"Tell me, how much did you take?"

Betty took another puff, then pressed the cigarette butt against the wall to put it out.

Cindy didn't say anything, she just spread her hands and turned them around, but the meaning was self-evident.

"It's all over you, isn't it?" Betty covered her forehead. "If I tell Mr. Parker about this, how long do you think you'll be grounded for?"

"Don't do that, Sister Betty." Cindy quickly stepped forward, hugged Betty's arm, and shook it. "I'm doing a good deed. If I hadn't been here today, you'd be in danger."

"That's the truth." Betty sighed. Only a real beast would threaten his savior right after being rescued.

But what Cindy is doing now is indeed very dangerous. She and Peter are childhood sweethearts, and Cindy can really be said to have grown up under her watch. To her, she is no different from her younger sister.

Letting your sister become a masked street hero? Any normal parent wouldn't agree to such a threatening thing, right?
"You have to come back with me." Betty thought about it and finally decided to be a good parent. "This is too dangerous, Cindy. You don't know what you want to do."

"I know, and I think I can do this with the power I have now."

Cindy said as she walked towards the wall beside her. In front of Betty's shocked eyes, she walked up the wall that was perpendicular to the ground as if it were flat ground.

"I haven't heard of Parker Industries inventing such technology." Betty murmured.

"This is not an invention of my family." Cindy said, stretching out her right hand towards Betty, making a rock-like gesture, and a white spider silk shot out from her wrist.

The spider silk was extremely fast and stuck to Betty's body before she could react. Then she felt a huge pulling force and was immediately pulled over without being able to resist.

“Ah~!”

Just as Betty was about to scream, Cindy immediately covered her mouth with her hand. After making a gesture of silence to the former, she put her left arm around Betty and shot out a spider silk from her right hand again, pulling the two of them to the roof.

After spinning in the air to relieve the force, Cindy landed lightly on the roof while holding Betty, without making any sound.

"Wuhu!" Cindy cheered softly. "That's one of the reasons why I want to be a street hero. Isn't it exciting?"

Betty held Cindy's arm tightly, and after a long while she gritted her teeth and said, "I will never do this again."

Ignoring Cindy's question of "why", Betty staggered to the rooftop passage and sat down on the ground against the wall.

After taking out a cigarette, lighting it and taking a drag, Betty slowly exhaled the smoke and said, "You have super powers, right, Cindy?"

"Huh?" Cindy tilted her head. "You mentioned the Transhuman Registration Act just now. I thought you'd figured it out."

"I can't see a thing!" Betty gritted her teeth and glared at Cindy. "When I mentioned the registration bill, I didn't recognize you, so I said that to prevent you from attacking me. Later, when I recognized it was you, I thought you were using Parker Industries' technology to do all that."

Spider-Woman, who had revealed her true identity, scratched her head and took off her mask to reveal an embarrassed and honest smile.

"Forget it." Betty rubbed her head. "Let Peter worry about your problem. I will hand you over to Peter. No discussion!"

"Uh." Cindy laughed awkwardly. "Actually, my brother knows about this." The hand holding the cigarette trembled slightly, and Betty felt a fire rising from the depths of her heart to her head.

"Take me to see that four-eyed guy!"

...

Looking at her brother who was being unilaterally attacked by Betty, Spider-Woman Cindy was frightened by the former's momentum and stood at attention. Perhaps she should find a chance to sneak away.

Cindy made up her mind and quietly walked towards the skylight while the two of them were not paying attention to her.

They are now in the heart of Parker Industries, on the rooftop of Parker Building, which was set up as Peter's own laboratory after being accepted by him. As for his parents, they and Uncle Norman live in another Norman Building for a long time.

Norman Chemical and Parker Industries have always been sister companies. This has been the case since the first day the two companies were established. Although the two companies have different research directions, both Norman Osborn and Richard Parker are rare all-rounders.

So the two companies have been complementing each other, and recently the company's focus has been on Norman Chemical, so Richard Parker moved there, which is a good opportunity to train Peter.

Who would have thought that as soon as her father passed away, Peter turned his sister into a superhero. Betty got angry and started arguing with Peter because of this.

Peter was indeed scared at first. He didn't expect Cindy to bring someone back, and this person was Betty Brant, who was very familiar to him.

This series of punches stunned Peter so much that Betty took the initiative. Peter didn't react until the latter said she would tell his father about it.

"Wait a minute, Betty!" Peter stopped Betty from reaching for her phone as quickly as he could. "Can you at least give me a chance to explain?"

"Okay, I'll see what you can come up with." Betty slapped Parker's hand away and sat in the chair waiting for the defendant's defense.

"Okay." Peter sighed. "The fact is..."

The judge waited for the defendant's statement, but what neither of them noticed was that the culprit had already disappeared.

...

"Whoosh!"

Cindy shot out spider silk, and relied on this thumb-thick white rope to cut through the night sky. Although it was not as good as real flying, the excitement contained in it was almost the same.

"I really don't know what's so good about this." Cindy muttered to herself. She hadn't even noticed that since she gained her superpowers, she would talk to herself whenever she was alone, and the frequency was increasing.

"Isn't it just being a street hero? I know my limits, okay? Besides, I saved her life."

Originally, Cindy was not so obsessed with becoming a superhero. She just wanted to imitate her predecessor who had spider powers, so she even copied the style of his suit.

But after seeing someone close to her being attacked today, she felt more and more that she should contribute a little bit. Perhaps if she just tried harder, one less person would be hurt.

However, on the first day of her superhero debut, she was reported by her first client, which really hit her self-confidence.
