Chapter 658: Ouch! My Hand!
Chapter 658: Ouch! My Hand!
Thor, the most powerful warrior in Asgard, is also one of the strongest superheroes in Marvel Comics. His position is equivalent to Clark Kent, the Superman in DC Comics.
This is not Yang Le's nonsense. The original setting of Thor was much vaguer than it is now. He was set up as a kind, brave, enthusiastic and adventurous young man.
Blake obtained the power of Thor by some accident. After he struck the crutch disguised as Thor's hammer, he could turn into Thor. With this powerful force, he devoted himself to the heroic career of fighting against evil forces.
But a few years later, Thor's setting was finally completed in his personal comics. It turned out that in order to test his son, Odin, the ruler of Asgard, deliberately sealed Thor's memory and forged the identity of an Earthling named Blake.
At the beginning, Thor was more like the magical Superman in the Marvel Universe, which is closer to the early Captain Marvel and the current Shazam. It was not until later that he finally formed his own personal characteristics and continues to this day.
Another point is that the early Thor relied on Thor's hammer more than he does now. At that time, he really had no power without the hammer, and was considered a true hammer god.
However, it is obvious that the Thor in the 9527 universe is not set up like this. At least a Thor who has learned all the knowledge on Earth will not land in the middle of the road.
Yang Le speculated that the Thunder God in front of him had not been to Earth for at least a hundred years. The human world had changed so much compared to a hundred years ago that he did not realize that there was something wrong with the place where he had landed.
It all seemed as if it had just happened not long ago. Thor scratched his head and pulled himself out of the front of the car. He walked to the driver's door in three or two steps. The man sitting inside seemed to have fainted, with his face buried in the airbag, motionless.
"Click!"
Thor grabbed the car door and pulled it off the driver's door amid the screams of the onlookers, then bent down and carefully carried out the man whose life or death was unknown.
After doing all this, Thor did not make any further moves. He just glanced at the man in his arms carefully until a loud siren sounded and he shifted his gaze.
"Put down the man in your arms!"
Several policemen quickly pushed back the crowd and approached Saul, while not forgetting to warn him as they approached.
"One warning! Put down the man in your arms! The parahuman!"
"I will." Thor was completely unfazed by the police officers' drawn guns; the black muzzles seemed nothing to him. "But I think this unfortunate child needs a doctor. This is my fault, and I can take responsibility for sending him to the nearest doctor."
"I'm telling you one last time, put that man down!" the officer activated the safety. "We'll take care of the rest! All you have to do is stand aside!"
"Okay." Thor used one hand to remove the cloak from his back and spread it on the ground, then put the man on it.
This was beyond Yang Le's expectations. The Thor in front of him seemed to be much calmer than he thought. Although Thor was not a bully, the temper of this Asgardian warrior was well known.
Even if he wouldn't make things difficult for these ordinary policemen, at least he wouldn't obey their orders. Yang Le thought that Thor would grab a policeman and force him to take him to the hospital.
Sure enough, in different universes, seemingly identical people can have huge differences. Thor from the 9527 universe does seem to have some of the demeanor of the Crown Prince of Asgard, not a natural-born war maniac who explodes at the slightest provocation.
After Thor put the man down, he stood up. The policemen who had been on guard came forward. The policeman standing in the front had obvious resentment, and it was obvious that he had some little ideas.
The policeman walking in front of him turned on the safety. What he hated most was these lawless superhumans. He was ready to teach this big fool a lesson. "Back off!"
Normally, the police officer should have shouted for Thor to step back before he got close, but with ill intentions, he waited until he was within reach of Thor before shouting, just to give Thor a good blow.
"boom!"
The police officer hit Thor hard with his right hand holding the gun. The guy was a little clever and deliberately hit Thor with the butt of the gun. If this hit Thor hard, it would not leave any scars, but it would definitely hurt like hell.
The police officer was calculating very well. Simply pushing Saul away was not considered violent law enforcement. He was just anxious to protect the hostages. Plus, he had his companions to cover for him, so he would not be punished no matter what.
He might even receive a reward for confronting the superhumans, even if it's just verbal praise.
It’s a pity that his ideals are high and the reality is low. What he met was not an ordinary superhuman, but a real god.
"Crack!"
"Ouch! My hand!"
The people traveling with the police officer didn't have time to understand what was happening. They only saw themselves falling down wailing with their hands covering theirs. It was not until the fallen policeman rolled on the ground that they saw his hand twisted in a strange direction.
"Oh, oh, oh~" Yang Le couldn't help but cover his mouth and gasp. "That must be excruciatingly painful."
The other people watching the excitement around also agreed with Yang Le's opinion. Some even covered their eyes and dared not to look, and many left in fear.
"Serves you right!" Thor frowned as he looked at the policeman who was rolling under him. Of course he saw the guy's intention, so he deliberately did not move away but stood there waiting for the other party to attack.
You know, even the giants who are famous for their strength can hardly get any advantage from him, and these weak people in the Midgard are even less likely to hurt him at all.
If this happened somewhere else in the Nine Realms, Thor would have raised his fist to attack such a guy, but the people in the atrium were too weak, and Thor was afraid that he would be blown away even if he breathed out his anger.
Standing still and taking the beating was already the cruelest punishment he could impose. It was indeed not a good choice to leave my mistakes to these people. I should take the initiative to make amends.
Ignoring the remaining policemen's shouts of "How dare you attack the police", Thor stretched out a hand that turned into an afterimage in the air. He waited until the deafening gunshots passed before he loosened his fist as big as a casserole.
Just like in an old-fashioned movie, the deformed bullets fell at Thor's feet with a crackling sound. If Thor hadn't been afraid that these physical ammunition would hit him and ricochet off, hurting others, he would have been too lazy to care.
"Now, can any warrior take me to the nearest doctor?"
