Chapter 601 Armando Eddie Munoz
Chapter 601 Armando Eddie Munoz
Howard waved to signal the front desk not to notify them, and walked straight to the door in front of him. After knocking on the door three times politely, he pushed it open and walked in without waiting for a response.
After the door opened, a spacious hall came into Howard's sight. In the center of the hall was a long table and several stools. Hyperion, Dr. Banner and Wonder Princess were sitting around it.
"I'm glad you came, Stark." Hyperion beckoned Howard to come and sit down. "And I'm also very pleased with the Sentinel robots you created. With them, all the superhumans can no longer hide. By the way, I'm wondering if the Sentinel robots can be mass-produced."
However, Howard did not answer the question. Instead, he complained to Hyperion, "There are complaints everywhere. Do you know what you are doing, Hyperion?"
"Breaking into a private residence and forcibly arresting people is a crime!"
"I'm reducing crime!" Hyperion said firmly. "Only by registering all superhumans can we control them, and only by controlling them can we prevent evil from happening."
"And we're not arresting every parahuman. Those registered parahumans with no criminal records are staying home. I've warned all of them long ago, but unfortunately, many still don't listen. What awaits them is drastic measures."
"Then why did you let those mutants join in?" Howard pointed his index finger at Hyperion. "You should know what will happen if you let the already controversial mutants join in at such a sensitive time, right?"
"Because I'm short of manpower." Hyperion said as if it was a matter of course. "Since no one helped me, I had to find help myself. Obviously, they did a good job."
"Yes, because you've already arrested thousands of people, thousands of people in just one day!"
Howard just felt the blood rushing up and he felt dizzy.
"Do you know what the government said? They want you to release those people immediately!"
Hyperion waved his hand and said nonchalantly, "Those people are just good at talking. If they're willing to help, they can solve the problem more gently. Ignore their barking."
"Instead of worrying about this, why don't you add a few more production lines or improve the capabilities of the sentinel robots instead of arguing with me here? You should still remember what we talked about, right?"
Hearing this, Howard's expression changed several times. Finally, he could only sigh helplessly and said, "Okay, okay, since this is what you want, then I'll give it to you, but let's be clear..."
"Don't regret it then!"
Howard turned and left, looking quite exasperated, which formed a sharp contrast with Hyperion who was neither sad nor happy behind him. Anyone who saw it would think that Hyperion was the winner of this conversation.
"I never regret it." Hyperion said calmly. As Howard slammed the door and left, the hall fell into silence for a while until Hyperion spoke again.
"How's the search process going Bruce?"
"Perfect," Dr. Banner nodded. "But the search program might still run into problems in a dense crowd. It's best not to scan a hundred people at once, or the program will crash."
"Not bad." Hyperion nodded in satisfaction. "Being able to achieve this much in one day is already perfect. There's no need to push myself too hard."
Hyperion's gentle attitude now is in sharp contrast to his previous treatment of Howard. This is not the gentleness he shows towards his own people, but that he knows how to treat different people in different ways.
Howard wouldn't benefit from registering a metahuman. He's like a horse that Hyperion has to whip to move. Bruce, on the other hand, is different. Because the search program can help him find missing Betty, even if Hyperion tries to stop him, he'll pursue it regardless. Sure enough, Dr. Banner shook his head after hearing Hyperion's words and said, "I've been resting for a long time. If there's nothing else, I'll get back to work."
No one stopped him, and Dr. Banner walked out of the hall on his own. It was obvious that he was heading for the laboratory.
"He must love your sister very much." Princess Miracle said with a smile.
"Betty loves him too." Hyperion did not comment.
"Oh, Mark," said the Princess, as if she had thought of something. "What do you think of the metahuman who escaped the Sentinel robots?"
"Very dangerous," Hyperion said firmly. "I watched the robot's recordings. He disappeared in the blink of an eye. It's clearly a spatial-type superpower. I remember his name was..."
"Armando Eddie Muñoz." The Princess of Power picked up the information on the table. "The information shows that he comes from a wealthy family, but because he awakened as a superhuman at a young age, he was abandoned by his biological parents."
"What's strange is that the superpowers Armando displays are completely different from the ones his parents described."
"What do you mean?" Hyperion asked.
The Princess of Power continued, "According to Armando's parents, Armando was swimming in the pool and drowned due to cramps. His father was about to rescue him when he found that Armando had stopped convulsing and stood up in the water."
"He was standing on the water, that's how his parents described it."
"Multiple abilities?" Hyperion frowned. "Or is it another application of spatial ability?"
"We'll only know when we catch him." The Princess put down the information. "One more question: how are you going to deal with those thousands of parahumans? We don't have room to house them all."
"Throw them all back to the old New York." Hyperion didn't hesitate at all, as if he had already thought of a plan.
"The people still alive there have already become superhumans. They're perfect for imprisoning them. We just need to have mutants and sentry robots patrol the perimeter to prevent them from escaping."
"Is this really okay?" Princess Shenli asked worriedly. "Won't they unite and rebel against us?"
"I believe I won't," Hyperion shrugged. "Humans prefer internal strife to alliances. With just a little spark, they'll restrain each other, even without supervision. And don't underestimate our allies; they'll handle this."
...
"Do we really want to do this?" Yang Le looked at the ruins in front of him and asked Magneto for advice.
"Let's go, Harpy." Magneto waved his hand and said, "Think about our compatriots. This is all for ourselves."
Yang Le had no choice but to use both hands, and the next second countless plants sprang up from the ground.
