Chapter 500 Robert's Multiple Personalities

Chapter 500 Robert's Multiple Personalities
"Based on the fact that his cancer hasn't been cured, I speculate that Robert may have developed a second personality because of the immense mental stress he experienced from taking such great risks in human experiments without receiving the desired results, coupled with the physical torture he suffered from the disease."

"You mean you speculate that Robert suffers from multiple personalities?" General Ross rubbed his temples slowly. After all, he was an old man over fifty years old, and receiving so much information at once still gave him a headache.

"Yes," Bruce nodded. "Because I didn't want to irritate Robert, I stopped conducting experiments on him after he was injected with the super serum. I simply recorded his various states. This is my conclusion based on observation."

"No more experiments." General Ross frowned. "So you don't know what happened to Robert after the serum injection, right?"

Bruce shook his head. "No, I still have regular blood tests and physical exams. Otherwise, I wouldn't have known that the serum was useless for Robert and his cancer condition."

"But from what I've seen so far, the serum seems to be working." General Ross raised his hand, and Glenn immediately handed him a tablet from his backpack.

General Ross took the tablet, operated it for a while, and then handed it to Bruce. Bruce took it and found that it was a video. Without Ross saying anything, he took the initiative to click on the video and started watching it.

This video was exactly the giant riot that General Ross and the others had talked about before. Bruce's eyes widened and he kept muttering.

"This is impossible... This is unscientific... How could such a change occur?"

"But it happened." General Ross took out a cigarette from his pocket and was about to take one out, but a hand snatched the cigarette away. Ross felt helpless. He didn't need to look over to know who took his cigarette. There was only one person in the world who dared to do this.

"Betty." General Ross sighed helplessly.

"This is the ward, Dad." Betty raised her head and crumpled the cigarette in her hand into a ball, then threw it into the trash can beside her.

Facing his beloved, General Ross could only be patient. When he turned his gaze back to Bruce, the latter had already read all the information.

"This is indeed beyond my expectations, General Ross." Bruce lowered his head. The tablet was now displaying a picture, which was taken by the Thunderbolts team. It was the picture of Robert turning into a giant again after his chest was pierced.

"It seems that the super serum has completely exceeded my expectations." Bruce enlarged the picture. Robert in the picture was in a half-human, half-giant state. His body looked like a rubber toy injected with water, deformed and sick.

"It seems to have some kind of intelligence." Bruce said uncertainly. This was the first time he spoke in this tone.

"Wisdom? You mean serum?" Ross's eyes widened. If the person who said this was not Bruce Banner, he might have punched him to stop the liar from talking nonsense.

"That's right." Bruce's eyes were fixed on Robert, as if he wanted to see something.

"Since the serum has turned him into what he is now, then the person in Robert's dream might not be his alter ego. Perhaps the serum took effect as soon as he was injected with it, and it's just hiding itself. But why?"

"That's ridiculous," Glenn interrupted. "How could a potion have a mind of its own? We're not in a fairy tale."

"Really, Glenn?" General Ross disagreed with Bruce's speculation. "There is magic in this world, and there are aliens too."

Glenn was speechless, not only because of General Ross's identity, but also because everything Ross said was true.

"I need those giants." Bruce looked at General Ross. "I want to find out what all this is all about." "No!" Before Ross could say anything, Betty on the side rejected Bruce's proposal.

"Your injuries haven't healed yet. You can't even get out of bed now!"

"Then please ask the General to find someone to carry me over." Bruce's attitude was very firm. "I can't just lie in bed and do nothing."

"Well said." General Ross gestured to Glenn behind him, and the latter immediately understood and walked out of the tent.

"I wasn't mistaken. If you choose to sleep soundly in bed like a wimp, I will definitely not entrust Betty to you."

"What the hell is going on?" Betty was so angry that she laughed at the two men in front of her. She simply turned her head away and ignored them.

But I have to say, Bruce looked really handsome just now.

...

The army was very efficient, not to mention that this was an order given by General Ross himself. Soon a team of strong soldiers arrived and, under the command of the doctor, lifted Bruce onto a transport aircraft. Their destination was where the giants were stored.

After about a day of tug-of-war, with the efforts of many superheroes, the military and the police, some giants were defeated at the beginning. But just as Yang Le judged, these giants may have grown with time or with the number of battles. In short, they are indeed growing.

Some giants who were defeated at the beginning would wake up after a period of dormancy and become stronger than before, to the point where ordinary humans could not compete with them at all.

Later on, even ordinary superhumans could not fight against them. Now the only superheroes still fighting on the front line are the Supreme Squadron led by Hyperion and a few people from the Heroes for Hire company founded by Luke Cage. The rest are Howard Stark's battle suits controlled by artificial intelligence.

As for Howard himself, he is now discussing with Rose's team how to target the giants' self-healing ability and their ability to continue to evolve.

This was the place Bruce came to. When he saw Howard, the latter's eyes were bloodshot, and the other scientists also didn't look very good.

"Nice to see you, Bruce." Howard greeted Bruce who was helped in. At first he wanted to shake hands, but seeing the other person's expression he had to give up.

"Is your injury really not serious?"

"Don't worry, Mr. Stark." Bruce took the crutch from the soldier beside him. "I know my body best. Even if I collapse, it will be after I find a solution."

"Now we should focus on the important matters at hand."

Bruce, leaning on a crutch, walked step by step towards a huge platform, on which was placed a huge piece of flesh wrapped in bright yellow colloid. It was one of the giants sealed by Yang Le.
