Chapter 410 Breaking the Calm
Troy, the current queen of Amazon, issued a warning to America. Regardless of the attitude of the top leaders, at least the majority of civilians did not take this matter to heart.

If the sky falls, there is always someone taller to hold it up. Although the Amazons are all brave and good at fighting, the Justice League is not a pushover either. If worst comes to worst, there is still the army.

Moreover, in human society, they have seen too many such threatening speeches. This tough attitude is usually deliberately put forward in order to gain some benefits during peace talks. In today's society, although wars are not uncommon, they are by no means so easy to start.

It costs money and wastes manpower, it's a losing business. Although everyone is shouting loudly, when it comes to taking action, they will generally take a step back.

With this idea in mind, basically no one took Troy's words seriously, and the government chose to wait and see. If the other party attacked at that time, it could be said that there was no means of communicating with Paradise Island, so the best time for negotiation was delayed. After all, the government did not know magic and could not use magic to communicate like Paradise Island.

Just like this, a few hours passed and the residents of Washington lived their lives as usual. Today was sunny and windy as usual. In a few hours, it would be time to get off work, which made the sleepy people perk up a little.

Mike is one of these ordinary people. Although the work of a shopping mall security guard is not strenuous, he still feels tired from standing and walking for long periods of time. He went for a check-up some time ago because he was afraid that he might have varicose veins, but fortunately, this disease has not yet befallen him.

Mike took out a plastic bag, inside of which was a donut wrapped in greaseproof paper. It was given to him by a beautiful Mexican woman who ran a pastry shop in the mall. Ever since Mike helped her deal with her half-brother who was a drug addict and who always asked her for money to pay for his drug addiction, she always prepared some bread and desserts for herself.

Although his colleagues always tease him and say that they have a crush on him, Mike doesn't think so. They have their own lives, and he can't disturb them just because of a little bit of passion. His real destiny is to go home and play games.

After opening the plastic bag, Mike walked out of the mall. After all, it was still working hours. Even if he had a good relationship with his boss, he couldn't slack off in the mall. He planned to finish quickly as usual and then go back to work.

After taking the donuts out of the plastic bag, Mike discovered that there seemed to be something written on the outside of the wax paper used to wrap the donuts. Did the bakery change the packaging?
Mike stretched his head to bite the donut, his eyes focused on seeing what was written on it. But before he could see the words on the oil paper clearly, he felt his head getting heavier and heavier and out of his control. He couldn't even bite the donut in his hand.

"Boom! Gululu."

The round object fell from the shoulder and rolled a long distance due to inertia. The muscular body in security uniform fell down with a bang. The air seemed to stagnate at this moment. After about two or three seconds, a deafening scream rang out.

"I love this song so much." The woman in armor licked the blood dripping from the sword, and with a morbid look on her face she admired the crowd that was panicked by her masterpiece.

"Behave yourself, Timaus, you pervert!"

Behind the woman, several women with similar attire appeared one after another. They all walked out of a purple portal. One of the women, who was obviously of higher status, looked at Timaus with disgust.

"But isn't our mission to cause panic, Captain?" Timaus swung his sword, and the blood on it shot out like a sharp arrow, staining the oil paper that fell from Mike's hand red, and the words on it were completely invisible.

"We don't kill civilians!" the captain said sternly.

"But I remember this man was wearing a police uniform, right? I remember police officers are supposed to be warriors among humans." Timaeus blinked. "So I shouldn't have made any mistakes." "I know, that's why I just scolded you. Otherwise, you would have been met with my sword."

After saying this, the captain stopped looking at Timaeus and instead said to several other subordinates, "Our mission is just to attract attention. The more superheroes we can attract, the better. Don't try to do unnecessary things like Timaeus. Our enemies can only be those warriors."

"That really makes me sad." Timaeus waved his sword. "Honestly, Captain, if I hadn't done this, do you think I could have attracted those Justice League members so quickly?"

As soon as she finished speaking, Timaeus immediately swung the sword in her hand. With a few short sounds of metal intertwining, several black bat-shaped darts were chopped to the ground by her. Several Amazons immediately looked in the direction of the darts, but did not see any living people.

Time passed, and it was already dusk. While several Amazons were talking, the panicked crowd had almost dispersed. They could not see anything except some inexplicable things invented by humans.

"Whoosh!"

There was a rapid sound of breaking through the air. Before an Amazon on the periphery of the team could react, a rope was wrapped around her neck. With a slight click, the rope was locked around her neck.

The Amazon gritted her teeth and tensed her muscles, reaching her hands to her neck to break this human trick, but the rope was too tight and she couldn't even put her little finger in, so she couldn't even grab it, let alone break it.

"Forehead!"

A force came from the rope. As an ordinary Amazon, she still needed to breathe. The lack of oxygen brought not only physical pain, but also psychological fear. By the time she reacted, she had been dragged away.

"Letty!" Another Amazon noticed the same thing as her companion, but after seeing where her companion was locked, she immediately stopped and tried to grab his hand, thus preventing her companion from being torn apart.

"bass!"

A figure flashed by quickly, and the captain of the Amazon team drew his sword and quickly passed the tied-up Letty. With a slash of the sword, the rope broke and flew around like a shot, and Letty fell to the ground immediately.

The captain stabbed Letty's neck with a sword, and the buckle that locked the rope was instantly broken into two. The latter was revived and gasped for breath. The others didn't care about the fallen teammate, and looked in the direction of the rope again, and sure enough, they could only find a rope gun stuck on the car.

"I know who you are!" the captain shouted to the quiet surroundings.

"Come out and face me if you dare! Batman!"
