Chapter 363 The Wrath of the Sea King
Chapter 363 The Wrath of the Sea King
"Damn it!"
The monarch who rules the seven seas, Aquaman Arthur Cooley clenched his fists and stared at everything in front of him with wide eyes.
In front of him was a ball wrapped in multiple layers of netting, with blood constantly flowing out of the meshes of the netting.
Aquaman silently pulled out the trident behind him and swung it hard. A wave of water like a sharp blade cut the tough net, revealing the aquatic guards who died tragically inside. Without any orders, several doctors swam to the side of the net to check if there were any survivors.
"My king." A soldier swam to the side of the Sea King and said solemnly.
"In the minefield not far away, the bodies of our soldiers were also found."
"Is there anyone left alive?" Aquaman's tone remained calm, but as long as you looked into his eyes, you could see the anger in them.
"No one survived." The soldier said with difficulty. These soldiers were not only his fellow tribesmen, but also his comrades who had fought together and had a deep friendship. His anger at this moment was no less than that of Aquaman.
"My king!" a doctor shouted in surprise. "There's a survivor here, and he's still breathing!"
Before the doctor finished speaking, Aquaman had already swam to his side. He leaned over and found a soldier covered in blood, but his chest was still rising and falling.
Arthur put the trident back on his back, grabbed the net with both hands and pulled it hard. The net that more than a dozen guards could not break through was torn into two pieces by Aquaman.
Strangely, although the net was torn, the dead guards did not scatter, but remained together. Arthur understood the reason at a glance and his eyes softened a little.
These soldiers held hands and clung to each other, forming a protective layer with their mounts. They actually used their bodies to protect the surviving soldier in the middle.
Mera, the Queen of the Sea, gently separated the soldiers with water magic, and the surviving soldier finally emerged, allowing the doctors to treat him.
"His injuries aren't serious," a doctor reported. "If it weren't for the person who just discovered his vulnerability, he might not have been injured at all. Unfortunately, that vulnerability allowed the opponent's sharp weapon to reach him. Thankfully, although the weapon pierced him, it didn't damage any vital organs. He's just lost some blood."
"Take him back for treatment." Aquaman's eyes remained fixed on the dozen or so bodies. "Do your best to heal him. We cannot let down the wishes of a fallen soldier. His comrades kept him alive, and as their king, I must respond to them."
The doctors received the order and took the injured soldiers to the transportation. The medical conditions here were too poor, without even blood transfusion equipment. They had to return to Atlantis immediately.
"Any idea?" Mera swam to Aquaman, her bright red hair fluttering with the sea water, and the special costumes of the aquatic people brought out the sexy figure of the Queen of the Sea to the fullest.
Hearing the question from his beloved, Aquaman did not rush to answer. Instead, he swam to the front of the pyramid building and looked at the hole cut by the tools in front of him. Aquaman knew that there was no need to go in, because the things imprisoned inside must have been lost.
"It's Black Manta." Arthur said firmly as he looked at the familiar traces.
"Although I don't know why anyone would want to steal this thing, I can only think of one person who could slaughter the aquatic creatures so unscrupulously, and that's Black Manta."
"I have a feud with him. It's all my fault because I killed his father." Arthur drew his trident. "So even though he kept attacking me, I gave him chance after chance, but this time he really went too far!"
As if sensing the Lord of the Seven Seas' wrath, the waters around Aquaman and Mera rippled like boiling water as Arthur's trident swirled. "I am the Lord of the Seven Seas!" Arthur raised his trident high in his hand, and the artifact responded with a golden glow. "Creatures of the sea, answer me, where did those villains flee to?"
As Arthur shouted, ripples spread out from him. As soon as Arthur finished speaking, something responded to him.
Indeed, there are no ordinary fish and aquatic creatures in this area, but these are not the only ones in the sea that obey the orders of the Sea King.
Countless underwater microorganisms answered their monarch's questions and told Arthur the traces of those who were stirring up trouble on the seabed.
After getting the answer, Aquaman turned around and stared at the direction he got with his eyes as fast as lightning. Before Mera beside him could come out to dissuade him, Aquaman had already jumped far away.
In the seabed, there are not many people who can catch up with Poseidon. Even the fastest means of transportation invented by the aquatic people would be vain at this speed. In just a blink of an eye, Mera could no longer see her husband.
Helpless and worried about her husband, Mera could only contact Aquaman's former assistant, Jackson. The reason why she didn't go herself was because the country cannot be without a leader for a day. Although the seven seas have all surrendered to Arthur on the surface, there are still many guys who say one thing and do another.
So as the queen, Mera naturally took on the responsibility of stabilizing the country when Aquaman was away, and if anything happened, she could also prevent unrest in Atlantis.
At this time, Jackson, who had just rescued Yang Le from the guards, received a communication from Sea Queen Mera.
"Your Majesty," Jackson said respectfully. "May I help you?"
The situation was urgent, so Mera didn't exchange pleasantries, but told Jackson everything that happened right away.
"The Sea King has gone after the murderer. I need you to go and assist your king in case he is ambushed by the traitor."
"I understand, Your Majesty." Jackson nodded solemnly and hung up the phone after Mera sent him the location.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Yang." Jackson said to Yang Le. Even though the situation was urgent, he still maintained his etiquette.
"My king needs me, I'm sorry I can't accompany you."
"Don't worry, but you might as well count me in." Yang Le shook the luminous organ on his head. Many female aquatic creatures swam past him with joy on their faces as they looked at the scales on his body and the egg-sized luminous organ.
"I'm also a member of the Justice League. It's impossible for me to miss this terrible incident happening right before my eyes."
"Thank you, Mr. Yang." Jackson smiled at Yang Le, then turned and swam in one direction.
"Come this way. His Majesty's speed is beyond our reach. We need to take some special means of transportation to catch up with him."
