Chapter 358 Courtney and Wally
"For the Illuminati, for humanity."

After a slogan, the room was quiet for about two or three seconds. It seemed that Luther was not the only one who raised his glass to celebrate.

"On to the next topic." A voice came from the leftmost screen. Vandal Savage picked up a document from his desktop. The document was a mixture of pictures and texts. The picture on it was a scene of a battle between a super giant and animals, plants and minerals.

Not only that, as Savage continued to flip through the information, there were photos of Yang Le fighting with Sports Master and others, and even communicating with the Justice League.

"This new artist, who just debuted recently, seems to be on the rise." Savage drummed his fingers on the table. "He looks so different. If it weren't for the information from the sports master, I wouldn't have thought they were the same person."

"The gap between their appearance and abilities is too great. The only thing they have in common is this strange symbol on their bodies." The Queen Bee next to Savage's screen said. As she spoke, a picture appeared on everyone's communicator, which was the Omnitrix logo.

"We've collected the abilities he's currently displaying," the brain next to the Queen Bee said immediately. "But I don't think this is all he has."

"The unknown represents variables." Lei Xiaogu rested his hands on his chin. "He is likely to affect our plans."

"I think it's quite interesting." Wu Tong stroked his cat. "The more chaotic it is, the more fun it is, right?"

"Meow." The cat Tiko purred comfortably, as if agreeing with Wu Tong's words. Of course, Tiko was the only cat who responded to him. Although the people present were all top criminals, none of them agreed with Wu Tong's words.

I guess only the God of Chaos in front of us would like such disorderly chaos.

"So what should we do next?" Black Manta broke the deadlock. "Should we change our plans or lie low for a while?"

"I suggest the plan continue." Luther put down his cup. "There's no reason for me to be intimidated by one person. There's no way I'm going to stop a deployment that's been going on for so long."

"Agree." "Second."

Everyone present agreed with Luther's proposal. They also did not think that one person alone could affect their plan. After all, no one knew their true goal.

----split line----

Wally West was sitting trembling in the reception room of the Hall of Justice, with the equally uneasy Courtney next to him. Both of them were indifferent to the snacks on the table in front of them.

Normally, Wally would have feasted on the food. He was a foodie, and now he had gained the speed force, which consumed a lot of energy. This was like adding wings to a tiger. Unfortunately, the tension in his heart made him have no appetite at this moment.

When he came, he learned from Barry that the Justice League had something important to inform him today. The quick-witted Wally combined his recent performance with the pessimistic speculation that he might never be a superhero in his life.

After all, a few days ago, he visited the school at night with Courtney, an ordinary person, during the lockdown, and not only that, he even exposed his identity.

Putting these two things together, Wally couldn't think of any good side no matter how optimistic he was. He was now like a death row prisoner waiting to be executed. Every minute and every second sitting in the visiting room was torture for him.

"Could you please stop shaking your legs?"

Courtney's voice came, and Wally came back to his senses. He found that his right leg had been shaking into a shadow, and he quickly stopped his obvious little movements.

"Are you so scared?" Courtney asked in confusion.

"It's okay." Wally leaned back, slumping in the chair like a puddle of mud. "It's more shame than fear." "Shame?" Courtney was even more confused.

"I've acted on my own again." Wally stared at his fingers. "This time I might never be a hero again. That's okay, but when I think of the Flash's expectations of me, I feel incredibly ashamed. He always tells me you can do better, but I always mess up."

"Sorry." Courtney lowered her head. She had just learned that Wally was put in solitary confinement not long ago, and the reason he acted on his own was all because of her.

"Don't worry about it. I can't bear to see you go to that place alone." Wally waved his hands. He felt somewhat relieved. Fairy Wally looked like an enlightened Buddha.

"Besides, you didn't know beforehand, so I couldn't tell you. This isn't your fault, Courtney. You don't need to feel guilty."

The more Wally said this, the more ashamed Courtney became. Just as the atmosphere in the room was becoming awkward, someone broke the awkward atmosphere first.

"This isn't your fault, Wally."

The Flash appeared behind Wally at some point, and he placed his hand on Wally's shoulder, comforting the frustrated boy.

"Forget it, I've moved on." Wally shook his head. "I'm sorry I couldn't meet your expectations. If you want to make an announcement, just make it. I can handle it."

"You know everything?" The Flash's voice was filled with surprise.

"Only a fool would guess." Wally laughed at himself.

"Wait a minute!" Courtney suddenly stood up, interrupting the conversation between the two.

Courtney slapped his chest with his right hand and said, "All the responsibility for this matter lies on me. Don't cancel Wally's superhero identity. I will take all the responsibility this time."

"What can you bear?" A hoarse voice sounded, and everyone turned their eyes to the direction where the voice came from. Several members of the Justice League, led by Batman, walked in from the door. Courtney also saw a face among them that surprised her.

"Pat!"

Courtney's stepfather, Pat Dugan, showed a hint of embarrassment when he heard his stepdaughter call him by his full name, but it quickly dissipated and turned into a serious expression.

"Courtney Whitman." Batman's cold voice brought Courtney's attention back.

"You have used the equipment of the deceased hero Skyman without permission. I am now reclaiming his equipment. Hand it over."

Courtney was frightened by Batman's gaze and subconsciously took a step back, covering her waist bag with both hands.

"It seems that you are unwilling." Batman's eyes became colder, and Courtney felt like she was falling into an ice cave.

"I found it," Courtney protested quietly, though she was scared.

"It seems we have to use another plan." Green Arrow said seriously.
