Chapter 308 Billy Batson

"Forehead?"

Billy Batson frowned and opened his eyes, but before he could fully open them, he quickly closed his eyes because he saw a ceiling that he didn't recognize at all.

Not only that, he could feel that the endless magical power in his body had disappeared at this moment, which meant that he was no longer the powerful wizard Shazam.

But there is no need to worry. Billy found that his mouth was not blocked, so if he encountered danger, he could immediately shout Shazam to transform, and then no one would be able to stop him.

However, Billy was not aware of the current situation, so he did not transform rashly, but continued to pretend to sleep and recall what had happened. He only remembered that he was fighting with Black Adam, all the way from Fawcett City to the wilderness, but he did not care how far he was from Fawcett City. After all, Shazam can fly, no matter where he goes, even if he leaves the earth, he can fly back.

Billy continued to recall his memories before he fell asleep. He found that there seemed to be a gap in his memory. His memory only went up to the time when he fought with Black Adam. He could not remember anything after that. Billy didn't even know when he fell asleep.

'Could it be that Black Adam knocked me unconscious?' Billy pondered. This was the only possibility he could think of, but he then rejected the idea. Putting aside whether Black Adam had the strength to do so, even if he had defeated him, Billy was certain that he would never be able to sleep soundly on this soft bed.

This bed is much more comfortable than Billy's own bed. If the situation allowed, Billy really wanted to take another nap. He felt that he would be able to have a sweet dream in this bed.

"Are you awake?" A voice suddenly sounded, scaring Billy so much that he almost jumped up, but suddenly he felt that the voice was somewhat familiar, so he opened his eyes and crawled up, wanting to see who the owner of the voice was. After all, he had Shazam to back him up, so Billy was fearless.

Billy looked up and saw Yang Le walking out of the cockpit. He was stunned at first because he had seen this face before. He had also participated in the incident where Yang Le regained his memory, but he didn't have the chance to take action because the matter was over.

"It's you?" Billy blurted out, and then he immediately realized that something was wrong. Shazam had seen Yang Le, but Billy Batson had not. Wouldn't this sentence be equivalent to exposing his identity?
"I mean, you saved me, didn't you, sir?" Billy quickly changed his tone. "Thank you so much, I don't know what I would have done if it weren't for you."

Yang Le couldn't help but find it funny when he saw Billy pretending to be calm. It seemed that the other party didn't know that his true identity had been exposed, nor did he want his true identity to be exposed.

From this point we can see Billy's naivety and lack of thinking. After all, he is just a teenager. Although fans often complain about Shazam Solomon's wisdom as the wisdom of Solomon Grundy, he actually helps Billy a lot. It's a pity that Billy doesn't listen most of the time.

"Shazam." Yang Le said the word softly, and the moment Billy heard the word, he froze in place.

"I'm just saying, is there a possibility that I witnessed you contact transformation?"

"Oh! Nah." Billy covered his face. "You saw it all, but you didn't warn me at all. You just stood there watching me make a fool of myself. I must have looked so pathetic trying to cover it up."

“It’s a bit lame indeed.”

Hearing Yang Le's words, Billy slumped down onto the bed he had just slept on, speechless. Embarrassed, he didn't know what to say. Yang Le shrugged and pulled out two cans of iced Coke from the car's refrigerator. He walked over to Billy and handed one to him. Billy didn't say anything, but still took it obediently. After fighting Black Adam for so long and sleeping for so long, he was already thirsty. He took the Coke and immediately opened it and took a sip.

"Ha!" Billy couldn't help but shout out due to the strong carbonic acid and the icy stimulation that stung his head, but before he could feel embarrassed, Yang Le also shouted out "Ha".

"It turns out that Coke should be drunk ice cold." Yang Le looked at Billy, as if asking for his opinion. Billy subconsciously nodded, as a response to Yang Le.

"What's your name? I can't always call you Shazam, right?" Yang Le asked in a pretentious manner. Although he knew Billy's real name, he was not going to tell it out loud, as that would only deepen the other party's doubts for no reason.

Whether the person gets the name through investigation or some other method and says it directly, it will make the person whose name is called feel uncomfortable, which will make subsequent communication difficult, so Yang Le decided to spend some time.

"Billy, Billy Batson." Billy honestly stated his real name without even making up a pseudonym.

This wasn't because Billy wasn't wary, but because, in his opinion, Yang Le had contact with the Justice League and was a good guy, personally certified by Batman. (Batman: Just because I didn't say it doesn't mean I admit it.)
It was for this reason that Billy told the truth to Yang Le. After all, Yang Le was a semi-acquaintance in his eyes. However, this approach was indeed too naive. Both the Justice League and Batman had times when they made mistakes. It was too naive for Billy to let down his guard just because of this.

"My name is Yang Le." Yang Le waved his Coke at Billy. "We've met before. You were involved in the Watchtower incident and the subsequent events. I'm very grateful for your help."

"You're welcome." Speaking of superheroes, Billy seemed like a different person. He held his head high and said, "These are what a hero should do. But how's your recovery going? I heard that people who lose their memories have some brain problems. Is your brain okay?"

"Uh, my brain is fine." Yang Le frowned, looking at Billy's sincere face, he knew that the other party really had no other intentions and was completely kind-hearted, so he smiled and replied to him.

"Thank you for your concern, but my amnesia is not closely related to my brain."

"Well, it seems that what my friend said is not always right." Billy took another sip of Coke. He was not as reserved as he was at the beginning.

"What are we in? An RV? I looked out the window and it looks like we're moving. Who's driving?"

Billy, who had regained his vitality, behaved like a normal child, and asked questions like a machine gun, which made Yang Le feel overwhelmed.

"Indeed, we're in the RV, and my good friend is driving it. Come out, little wretch, Billy wants to see you."

Before Billy could react, a huge electronic screen popped out from the ceiling and hit him directly in the face.
