Chapter 284 The Flash: He’s still chasing me, damn
After the psychologist's enthusiastic introduction, Yang Le finally chose the Superman doll. There was no special reason, just because he felt that the cheerful smile was better than the gloomy man in black next to him.
By the way, the psychiatrist seems to call him... Batman, yes, that’s the name.
"Thank you, doctor. I feel much better." Yang Le grabbed the doll in his hand. In fact, he didn't know whether he was better or not. He just glanced at his watch and found that his money could not support him to continue watching.
Yang Le packed his clothes and prepared to leave the consultation room, comforting himself in his heart that although he didn't know how effective the treatment would be, at least he got a souvenir, which shouldn't be too bad.
"Mr. Yang Le."
Just as Yang Le turned the doorknob and was about to go out, the psychologist behind him called him. Yang Le turned around and found that the psychologist was standing behind him.
"What's wrong?" Yang Le asked in confusion.
The psychiatrist said, "It's clear that my treatment isn't helping you much. If your condition is more serious, I recommend you go to Gotham."
"Gotham..." Yang Le murmured softly. He didn't know much about this place, having only heard of it from Old Huang's fragments. "I heard that people are eaten alive there without leaving any bones?"
"In fact, it's even worse." The doctor took out a handkerchief and wiped the sweat from his forehead. "Gotham, the city of sin, at least 70% of the people in that city are crazy."
The doctor put the handkerchief back into his pocket, breathed a sigh of relief, and said, "But it's also for this reason that Gotham's psychiatrists are the best in the world. Of course, I mean those who haven't gone crazy yet."
"Thank you, I'll consider it." Yang Le nodded to show that he understood, then opened the door and walked out without stopping.
As for the advice given to him by the psychologist, Yang Le had long forgotten it. Just kidding, Lao Huang's real nephew went to Gotham and there has been no news for several months. As a substitute, he didn't want to follow in the former's footsteps.
After squashing the Superman doll in his hand into a ball, Yang Le stuffed it into his coat pocket. Although it was a souvenir he got from seeing a doctor, it was still a bit embarrassing for a grown man to carry a doll around.
After seeing the psychologist, Yang Le had completed all his tasks for the day. He looked at the time and it was only two o'clock in the afternoon. Not counting the doctors' lunch break, Yang Le only spent an hour on the consultation. This was the limit of Yang Le's financial resources.
Touching his empty stomach, Yang Le didn't even dare to go for lunch in order not to miss the appointment time. He hurried over after get off work.
"It seems I still need to replenish my energy before going home." Yang Le thought to himself. Although this was an unnecessary expense, after a long period of mental torture, Yang Le felt that he still needed to consume some junk food.
Anyway, if he went back he would only hear the snoring of those guys working the night shift, so Yang Le made up his mind to go out for a walk.
"I think I should go get a hot dog first."
"flash."
A deep and powerful voice, accompanied by a gaze as cold as liquid nitrogen, shot at Barry, making him shiver.
"Oh, what?" Barry came back to his senses and found that everyone was looking at him. In a second, Barry Allen knew that his distraction had been exposed.
"It's Batman? I thought the heater in the watchtower was broken." Barry scratched his head awkwardly.
"Pfft!" Clark covered his mouth, but still couldn't stop the super laughter from leaking out. Sure enough, the gaze as cold as liquid nitrogen moved to him the next moment.
"Ahem!" Clark cleared his throat. "Sorry, I was just thinking about Krypton." "You're really not a good liar, Clark." Diana chuckled and shook her head. In fact, she was also amused just now, but Superman laughed before her.
"At least better than Barry," Cyborg Victor said with a laugh. "The watchtower's thermostat is connected to me, and I can assure you it's not broken."
Barry could only continue to smirk at this. Seeing him like this, everyone in the Justice League laughed, except for one person.
"Ahem." Just a slight cough made everyone in the Justice League quiet down. He was probably the only one in the Justice League who could do that.
"How much did you hear about the previous meeting, Flash?" Batman asked Barry after seeing that no one spoke.
"Um, it seems to be about our assistants?" Barry asked tentatively.
Batman shook his head helplessly and said, "It seems you only listened to the beginning."
"I'm sorry." Barry immediately admitted his mistake, but Hal, the Green Lantern sitting next to him, frowned.
"What's wrong with you Barry? I've noticed you've been distracted a lot lately, which is not what I want from you."
In response to his best friend's question, Barry sighed and said, "I don't know what's wrong, but I've been a little off lately. It's not just the Flash, Barry Allen is the same, and my life has been greatly affected."
"What happened?" Superman crossed his arms. In his opinion, although Barry was a bit of a jerk, he was definitely not such an unreliable person.
Everyone's attention turned to him again. Barry thought for a moment and said, "I'm not really sure. I've always felt very uncomfortable when I run lately, as if something is chasing me."
As soon as Barry said this, the expressions of everyone in the Justice League changed. Things related to the Flash are usually not trivial.
"Anyone who can chase the Flash must be no ordinary speedster," Hal analyzed. "Should we list all the speedsters first and then think of a solution? Let me make it clear, I'm most suspicious of the Reverse-Flash."
Superman didn't reply immediately, but looked at his best partner and asked, "Batman, what do you think about this?"
"I have a different opinion." Batman cast a disapproving look at Hal. "Flash, how long have you been like this?"
"About... three or four months?" Barry recalled for a moment before speaking uncertainly.
"There's no way Reverse-Flash can't catch up with The Flash, and he was defeated by The Flash once last month." Batman called up the holographic projection and showed the scene of The Flash defeating Reverse-Flash.
"If he had some trick up his sleeve, he would have used it last month. There's no need to drag it out this long. Reverse-Flash is not a patient guy, especially when it comes to targeting The Flash."
Barry nodded after listening to Batman's analysis, but Hal was a little unhappy and said sarcastically.
"Then please think of a solution, the greatest detective in the world."
