Chapter 1413

As we all know, both the Marvel Universe and the DC Universe have a vast multiverse worldview, and among these diverse multiverses, there are always one or two special universes.

Among these few special universes, there is one that is the most important, generally referred to as the main universe.

Marvel's main universe has always been known as the 616 universe, while DC's is a bit more chaotic, having gone through the N52 era, though it has stabilized in recent years.

Putting aside the complex history of the multiverse, everything in the main universe is more special than in ordinary universes, such as the superheroes in the main universe.

Under normal circumstances, they are generally stronger than their counterparts in parallel universes. What they cannot do in parallel universes, superheroes in the main universe can often do.

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, take Spider-Man Peter Parker for example. The comics have repeatedly shown that Peter Parker is the most important Spider-Man.

In the DC Universe, it's Superman, who is adorned with numerous rules and is the source of everything, either practically equal to or omnipotent.

Trivial feats like withstanding Omega rays are not worth mentioning on one's resume; feats like shattering the multiverse with a single punch are the ones worth mentioning.

Of course, only Superman from the main universe has this ability. Other Superman from the multiverse may be stronger, but none of them can achieve the level of being bound by the rules.

Therefore, if Yang Le were to send the superhuman of this universe to withstand the Omega rays head-on, it would be tantamount to sending the latter to his death.

Similarly, Yang Le didn't think that Batman in this universe could escape the Omega Rays.

Haven't you seen how many Superman and Batman died in the multiverse events? They didn't have that special ability, so they couldn't gamble.

Just as Yang Le was racking his brains, thinking that at worst he could have Superman grab Superman X's body as a shield to block the Omega Rays.

Whether it's blocking the Omega Ray head-on for a one-for-one exchange, or awakening Superman X like Brother Xiang jumped off a building and was forced to transform into Ultraman, they won't lose out no matter which scenario occurs.

Whether it was because he didn't want Yang Le to use up too many brain cells and become a classic European Mediterranean uncle in the future, or because he was afraid of becoming someone else's X shield, Mammon spoke up at this moment.

"You actually already have a key to victory in your hands."

"Ok?"

Seeing Yang Le's confusion, Mamon looked at the man's chest, specifically his left chest.

Yang Le followed Mamon's gaze to his left chest, and after a moment of contemplation, he understood what the latter meant.

Yang Le opened his jacket and rummaged through the inside pocket, eventually pulling out a gold card slightly smaller than his palm.

This is the identity he obtained from the Supreme God of the DC Universe after regaining his lost memories and beating up Professor Manhattan. It allows him to have a legitimate identity within the DC Universe that no being can detect as unusual.

Yang Le kept the card close to his body ever since it came into his possession, but since it had no other use, he simply kept it in his pocket as a collectible.

Unlike Yang Le's broken watch, this identity certificate bestowed by the supreme God cannot be split into several parts by exploiting a bug.

Because this thing is precious and Yang Le believes it has no other use, even when using clones, he will always have a clone in the safe zone to hold it, in order to prevent accidental loss.

In short, Yang Le truly never expected that this small card he had previously overlooked would become the key to victory. It's like suddenly discovering that an unremarkable classmate is actually the son of the world's richest man—it's something that can bring a huge shock.

"Is this thing really that powerful?"

Yang Le held the card and played with it. The golden card flew up and down and spun under the operation of his nimble fingers, emitting golden halos.

This card-playing technique was something Yang Le learned from Mr. Zatara, after all, the latter was a magician.

“Of course,” Mammon said matter-of-factly. “This thing is a creation of that God, so it naturally represents a part of his authority.”

“Actually, this card can do a lot of things,” Oz added. “Although God didn’t say it explicitly, he actually gave you a lot of privileges.”

"Otherwise, how could you have come into contact with one of the origins of this universe after becoming a Nimüe?"

Nimiao is the Dust Fairy. Previously, when Yang Le used the Dust Fairy's power, he was pulled away by the Sleep Demon of the Endless Family and obtained a little bit of the power of dreams.

It's really just a tiny bit, you could describe it as just the tip of the iceberg or a drop in the ocean. At most, it could produce a glass of wine or a piece of bread.

"You don't actually think you're so special, do you?" Mammon raised his eyes slightly. "Or do you think you are special?"

"You know that what you said was really hurtful, right?" Yang Le's face stiffened. He had indeed thought that at the time, but it was better to keep it to himself than to have it said out loud.

Even someone as thick-skinned as Yang Le couldn't help but blush.

"Really?" Mammon asked in surprise. "You really think so?"

"We'll talk about this later," Yang Le quickly changed the subject. "Now, tell me about this card in detail."

Mamon noticed Yang Le's predicament and didn't dwell on the matter, instead turning to the main issue.

"Just like Oz and I said before, this card can do a lot of things. At least in the eyes of some special beings, you are like someone who has been highlighted."

"Many rules and forces in this universe cannot directly affect you, provided that you have this card with you."

"You mean, as long as I show the card, the Omega rays won't have any effect on me?"

In response to Yang Le's question, Oz shook his head and said, "There will still be damage, but the anti-life forces added inside will have no effect on you."

This pleased Yang Le. Although the Omega rays were still quite threatening, at least they were no longer the kind that would kill instantly and were completely unsolvable.

"Anyone who has this card and has your consent is welcome."

Oz explained, "Even if you give the card to someone else, it will have the same effect, but it can only affect one person at a time."

"That's enough." Yang Le excitedly put the card away; he had finally found a way to break the deadlock.
