Chapter 1403
With Yang Le's tacit approval, the mantis absorbed all the cosmic energy mixed with nuclear power into its body.
Once the mantis's nuclear energy reached a certain level, Yang Le detonated the stored nuclear energy in its body all at once, thus killing the mantis.
Don't underestimate the explosion that just happened; its yield was enough to blow a city to the sky, let alone the fact that it was detonated inside the body.
It's important to understand that not everyone is like a Kryptonian, who has a biofield protecting them even inside their bodies. This explosive force was enough to kill a new Protoss.
After dealing with the mantis, Yang Le didn't have time to think. He immediately transformed back into Ultimate Puba and began releasing the bio-virus he had prepared long ago.
This time, no one stopped him.
...
"Ok?"
Darkseid, who had been sitting on his throne with one hand supporting his head, suddenly uttered a questioning sound.
As the number one lackey, Desad immediately noticed the Dark King's strange behavior and asked at the pass.
"Your Majesty, is there anything I can help you with?"
"The praying mantis is dead."
Darkseid calmly uttered a statement that shocked everyone present.
"The mantis is dead?" Disad tried to remain calm, even though he thought it was almost impossible. But if Darkseid said it, it must be true.
The Mantis, the strongest fighter in the Dark Elite, died silently. Not only Desard, but even Viman's mind went blank for a moment.
To be honest, the one Viman trusted most in his arrangement was Mantis, since he hadn't placed him in the most dangerous position, and Mantis was also the strongest.
Logically speaking, to deal with the Mantis, at least the top experts from the New Genesis Star would need to work together to seriously injure it.
Even so, it shouldn't be enough to kill the mantis without it being able to send out any message.
"It looks like a group of superhumans with extremely strong combat capabilities have infiltrated Apokolips."
Wyman stroked his beard. In his opinion, it was almost impossible for a praying mantis to lose in a one-on-one fight. The only one in the entire universe who could do that was Darkseid.
Therefore, he speculated that a powerful superhuman team of at least four people must have infiltrated Apokolips and encountered the Mantis while carrying out some secret mission.
The mantis faithfully carried out the mission assigned by Viman, blocking and attacking any potential infiltrators, but ultimately succumbed to being ganged up on by multiple opponents.
“My king, I think it would be best to recall Steppenwolf and Kalibak and have them intercept the squad that has infiltrated Apokolips.”
Wyman bowed and made the suggestion to Darkseid, but the latter did not follow up on what he had said before. Instead, he stood up.
"No need, I'll go see for myself."
“This…” Disad hesitated for a moment. “How could I trouble you, sir, to take action personally?”
“My mind is made up.” Darkseid stepped down from the throne and walked out of the room.
“Disad, you are in charge of reviving Mantis and Kant. Kant died not long ago.”
Darkseid then revealed a shocking fact, which Disad quickly grasped, and he bowed deeply. "As you wish, what are your plans after resurrecting them?"
“Although they are both losers, now is the time to use their manpower. Wyman, you continue to command them. All punishments will be dealt with after the war ends.”
As Darkseid spoke, he walked out of the room. Disad and Wiman bowed to him one after the other, and only straightened up after he was out of sight.
“I’ll go revive the Mantis and the others first,” Disad said, looking at Viman. “As for you, there have already been two failures under your command. I think the master is more dissatisfied with you than with the two who died.”
“I already know this without you telling me,” Wyman said, pursing his lips in annoyance. “Focus on doing the tasks the adults have given you; it’s none of your business to interrupt.”
Disad gave a wicked smile and left the command room without paying attention to what Wiman said, leaving Wiman alone in the large room.
Viman unconsciously tightened the grip on his beard, just as he had said, he knew best about the things Disad had mocked him for.
Darkseid initially said he would entrust all matters of the war to Wieman, but now he has broken his promise, ignored the latter's request, and launched an attack instead.
This not only expresses her dissatisfaction, but also her distrust of Wyman.
It's likely that Darkseid will settle scores with him first after this war.
"Tsk."
The thought of what he might encounter filled Wyman with fear, even though he had never personally experienced Darkseid's punishment.
But Wiman had witnessed firsthand how cruel Darkseid could be to the losers; the recent events in Dessad were the best example of that.
Not long ago, Viman had mocked Disad for this, and considering the latter's recent behavior, it was clear that he was seeking revenge for the previous attack.
Desad is the inquisitor of Apokolips. If I fall into his hands, I will definitely not have a good ending. Being torn apart and having my bones pulled out would be considered a good ending.
"No, I have to find a way to atone for my sins."
Wyman shuddered. He no longer had the patience to continue using the old trick of luring the enemy deep into his trap and waiting for them to walk right into it.
Viman knew that for his own safety, he had to take drastic measures in this situation.
"Steppenwolf, Kalibak," Wyman opened the communicator. "Abandon the previous strategy, coordinate all the Parademons to tighten the encirclement, and wipe out these guys!"
"understood."
Although Steppenwolf in the universe was very unhappy with Wiman, who was giving him orders, Darkseid had already handed over command to him, so he could only obediently follow orders.
"clear."
Kalibak didn't care about any of that; he only had one thing on his mind: to do things to the best of his ability and get the Dark King to acknowledge him as his son.
Although Kalibak was born with exceptional bravery, Darkseid disliked him intensely, even to the point of loathing, because of his ugly appearance and low intelligence.
Kalibak, whose mind was not very bright to begin with, could not understand why this was happening. Therefore, the simple-minded man could only rely on his own efforts, hoping that one day the Dark King would take pity on him and acknowledge his existence as a son.
Therefore, he would do his best to carry out any order related to Darkseid. Thus, he was the first to respond to Wyman's command and led the Parademons forward.
