Chapter 1363
Although Ban 23's words were rough, the reasoning was sound, and everyone present understood what he meant.
Simply put, Zul'A has completely solidified his body into one piece, and there is no device to store consciousness within him.
"I suspect that Zul'an has stored his consciousness in the Mother Box. This is based on my observation of his personality after I came into contact with him."
Cassandra speculated, "I've discovered that Zul'an has an almost pathological fascination with supernatural powers."
“I can relate to that too,” Class 23 raised his hand. “Whenever someone uses a special ability, he’ll show a greedy look in his eyes. I mean, even though his eyes are a pair of cameras, I can still feel his gaze.”
"You'd actually be better off using a tone of voice, like a greedy tone or something," Donatello suggested.
"However, he had already shown desire for the Soul Weapon and the Omnitrix while I was there, like someone who was terrified of poverty suddenly receiving a huge sum of money and wanting to spend it for revenge."
"This also proves that Zul'A has a strong dependence on supernatural power. After obtaining the metal body, he couldn't wait to abandon his mortal body and didn't even consider the option of expelling Batman from his body and keeping the body for himself."
Cassandra shrugged and said, "I don't believe Zul'Ah is incapable of doing this. He's clearly fed up with being an ordinary person, even if it means abandoning his original body."
"Therefore, I speculate that Zul'an, who relies on supernatural power, would immediately upload his consciousness to the Mother Box."
“Yang Le’s experimental log also mentions it,” Donatello interjected. “The original Mother Box should have its own consciousness, more like an independent life form, while the pirated Mother Box he developed does not have this characteristic, which is why he said that this Mother Box is a failure.”
"However, in order to give the Mother Box self-awareness, he set up a device inside that could store consciousness. I think Zul'an will upload his own consciousness after he discovers it."
"In other words, Zul'an is now like a program in a computer. No matter how powerful he is, we can shut down the computer and he's no longer worth mentioning."
"Doesn't Zul'A know about this?" Leonardo asked.
"I mean, would he not read these instructions before getting these things?"
“Probably not.” Cassandra shook her head. “First of all, my father believed that experimental logs, which recorded the process of invention, usage, and shortcomings, were more important than the invention itself, so he always claimed that he never kept any experimental logs.”
"Actually, he hid the lab log. As far as I know, only my mother and I knew about it, and I only told Roy about it not long ago."
Roy nodded, confirming the truth of what Cassandra had said, and it was he who led Donatello to the experimental log.
"Besides, judging from Zul'an's unfamiliarity with the process, and the fact that she didn't seem to have thoroughly read the experimental log, I thought... never mind, forget I said anything."
Cassandra wanted to mention an interesting anecdote about Michelangelo, but considering that the latter was still lying in the treatment pod, she decided against it, as it might seem like she was being sarcastic.
"Besides, it doesn't matter if Zul'an didn't upload his consciousness into the Mother Box. I don't believe he has the ability to modify my father's invention. Even if we just shut down the Mother Box, we'll still make a profit."
Cassandra's words were echoed by everyone present. They all agreed that the original Zul'Alan was merely troublesome; while they couldn't defeat him using their soul weapons, they could at least keep him under control. However, Zul'Alan, having obtained the pirated Mother Box, was undeniably powerful; at least previously, they had been completely helpless against him.
"Now that we know how to deal with that anvil, what are we waiting for?"
Raphael rubbed his fists together, ready to give Zul'en a good beating.
“Calm down, Raphael,” Leonardo stopped his brother’s reckless act. “We should at least wait until Michelangelo is out of danger before we go after that guy.”
The mere mention of Michelangelo was like a bucket of cold water being poured over Raphael, instantly calming him down. Looking at the healing pod not far away, his expression revealed a hint of self-reproach.
“Let’s all take a break,” Roy suggested. “I also need to organize my equipment. I’ve used up all my mechanical arms; I can’t go into battle with this skeleton in my body.”
Roy's suggestion was approved by everyone. Raphael stood in front of Michelangelo's treatment pod as punishment, while Leonardo sat on the ground, closing his eyes to rest.
Donatello continued studying Yang Le's experimental log, trying to find more weaknesses in Zul'A, while Ban 23 was adjusting his Omnitrix, probably thinking about the alien heroes the enemy would use next.
Cassandra also sat in the chair that Yang Le often sat in behind the desk, closing her eyes to rest.
Seeing this, Roy walked to the equipment rack in the corner of the laboratory. Although he was allowed to use the official version of the mechanical arm after killing the Joker, most of the developed mechanical arms had been moved to his own room.
However, Roy didn't have the ability to develop a robotic arm himself, so Yang Le continued to develop it for him in his spare time.
For this reason, Yang Le's laboratory always had a corner reserved for Roy to store the robotic arm.
Roy removed the temporary robotic arm and replaced it with a high-powered version. He then took another one and hung it on his belt, just in case.
It was at this moment that Roy suddenly remembered that Dick on the ground was still waiting for their reply. The oppressive force of Zul'an had made him subconsciously forget about the latter.
Furthermore, in order to prevent Zul'en'a from tracking Dick and the others to Earth, Roy specifically turned off his communication devices.
Thinking of Dick and the others, Roy also thought of the Tamaran Star sisters, whom he had kept locked in a capsule. Realizing that they had also been locked up for half a day, he immediately opened the capsule and released them.
The sudden appearance of the two girls startled everyone except Cassandra. If Roy hadn't hurriedly explained, they might have started fighting themselves.
While this avoided infighting, Roy couldn't escape being blamed. After all, it had been said beforehand that the Tamaran sisters were a secret weapon, but not only did they not get a chance to play, they were even forgotten by their teammates.
Xinghuo didn't say anything, but Heihuo couldn't stand it. He grabbed Roy and started complaining, and the latter could only apologize and be scolded, looking quite embarrassed.
