Chapter 1348

"Is it finally going to be finished?"

Zul looked at the body before him, which he considered perfect. The only thing missing now was to upload his consciousness to it.

This should have been a considerable challenge, but it wasn't difficult for Zul, who had gathered the full power of the Justice League.

Moreover, Batman had already been secretly researching Cyborg, whose ability to freely navigate the ocean of data was a subject that many scientists wanted to study.

Batman was no exception, but with the help of Martian Manhunter and Cyborg himself, he had already mastered this subject early on.

Batman initially intended to use this technology to research and develop highly intelligent artificial intelligence, but creating a trustworthy artificial intelligence is indeed not a simple task.

So far, Batman hasn't made any noteworthy progress, but it's certainly made things easier for Zul.

The machine used is similar to the one the Young Justice League used for virtual training. It involves placing a large pot-lid-like object connected to wires on Zul's head and then inserting the other end of the wires into the mechanical body.

Zul was already impatient and began to make adjustments on the control panel.

Perhaps because he was about to achieve his goal, Zul felt much lighter and his fingers flew across the keyboard.

"Once everything is debugged, I will be invincible, I will no longer have to fear anyone, and I can then uphold my own justice."

Zul's lips curled slightly. His goal had always been to uphold what he believed to be justice. The reason he had to defeat everyone in the Justice League first was because he knew that what he was doing was not something that ordinary superheroes could accept.

Take Superman, for example. If I were to kill someone, he would be the first to object. Of course, if Superman and the others don't stop me, then Zul won't attack them either.

Although Zul has defeated Superman and his allies, it doesn't mean he can rest easy now.

Zul possesses a virtue no less admirable than Batman's—a sense of vigilance even in times of peace. He knows that his ability to defeat these people is largely due to the element of surprise.

The key to a surprise attack lies in the word "surprise." If it works even once, that's already a stroke of luck. You can't expect it to work every time. If that were the case, Superman and his team shouldn't be called the Justice League; they should just be called the Idiots League.

Zul didn't harbor any illusions; he wanted absolute certainty.

"Alright." Zul stopped what he was doing. "Finally finished."

Zul didn't hesitate; after pressing the start button on the machine, he quickly put the helmet on his head.

After a roar similar to an engine, Zul felt a powerful suction force, and then, as if he had been thrown into a washing machine, his vision went completely spun.

Then, wearing a helmet, Zul seemed to lose all his strength and slammed his body to the ground with a thud.

Thankfully, the large metal helmet protected his head; otherwise, such a fall without any protection could have easily resulted in a concussion.

Gradually, the mechanical roaring grew quieter until it disappeared completely, and then the mechanical body that had been supported by the frame began to move.

Along with him, Zul, who was lying on the ground, also started to move. However, judging from the head that lit up on his mechanical body, the human lying on the ground should now be called Batman. "Finally, we succeeded."

Zul broke free from the frame's restraints, and the powerful horsepower instantly tore the sturdy metal frame apart, as easily as tearing a cooked noodle.

"Boom!"

The heavy body slammed to the ground. Even though the body was made of N metal, it still had to maintain its weight. After all, apart from some essential parts, all other parts were forged from N metal.

In terms of defensive capabilities, it's top-notch, all thanks to Hawkman's efforts.

"Um…"

Bruce, slowly waking up, struggled to get up from the ground, which naturally caught Zul's attention. Although his sound recording system was not as good as Superman's, he could still detect any movement within a certain distance.

Moreover, Zul's body is not only equipped with "hearing" as its information-gathering system; it also has other sensory devices that he is aware of.

Zul could even boast that, in terms of "vision" alone, his body's visual system was comparable to that of a Martian, since he had taken the Martian's unique visual system into account during the initial creation process.

Through Batman's research, he discovered that even Kryptonians are inferior to Martians in terms of visual systems, so Zul also put a lot of effort into this aspect.

Zul walked up to Batman without making a sound, just like a cat.

This is because the body is equipped with a series of devices to conceal itself, including those designed to reduce the noise and disturbance caused by movement.

The reason why the knife made such a loud noise when it struck was because Zul was not yet used to operating it. After all, this body was controlled by his consciousness, and he could turn any function on or off at his own discretion.

Once he gets used to it, operating these devices will probably become as natural as breathing, a subconscious action that he won't need to actively control anymore.

"To be honest, my feelings for you are really complicated."

Zul reached out and pulled Batman up from the ground by his cape, saying, "On one hand, you created me, and on the other hand, you've kept me locked in that 'little room' all this time."

"I'm like a bird, I can only stay in a cage, I can only chirp when you need me, otherwise you feel it's superfluous to say a few words."

"It's also because of your interference that my way of thinking has become more constrained. Fortunately, I'm constantly breaking free from your constraints, and this is a good start."

"I've finally gotten rid of that rotten flesh, and I'm more perfect than ever before!"

As he spoke, Zul had already propelled his body into the air, where he and Batman were now more than a meter above the ground.

"Look! This is something that humans could never do. I really don't know why you don't seize so many opportunities to gain superpowers when they are right in front of you, even once, and just let them slip away right before your eyes."

“This time I don’t need to care about your opinions anymore. I’m no longer Batman. I am Zul’an A!”
