Chapter 1290

"What you said makes me feel like I'm talking to a madman."

Jason could hardly believe what he was hearing. Someone saying that the Trigon Demon could be defeated was the craziest thing he had ever heard since he first heard the name.

"Sangokuma's power far exceeds everyone's imagination. He can destroy the Earth in an instant if he wants to. Even if all the members of the Justice League were combined, they would be no match for him."

"Alright, no need to throw out any preconceived notions. I definitely know more about this than you do."

Yang Le interrupted Jason, then reached out and pulled out a business card, throwing it at the latter who was lying on the ground.

"My contact information is here. You can come and find me when you change your mind and want to help."

Yang Le printed a dozen of these business cards, but never had a chance to hand them out. Today was the first time he had actually used them.

“Come on, child.” Yang Le walked to Rachel, who had been watching the battle. “I know what you want. Come with me and I will help you fight against the Trigon Demon.”

“Ugh…” Rachel covered her forehead and let out a muffled groan, as if her brain had been attacked.

"Is Sannomiya bothering you again? Is that it?"

Yang Le lowered his head and placed his hands on Rachel's shoulders, looking directly into her eyes.

“How…how did you know…” Rachel was surprised, but the whispers from the Trigon Demon in her mind kept tormenting her.

"Like I said, I know far more than you think."

Yang Le straightened Rachel's head and said seriously, "Listen, Rachel, I need you to do me a small favor. If you succeed, Sangoku won't bother you for a long time."

"Really?" Rachel tried to sound happy, but a constant whisper in her head prevented her from showing any positive emotion.

"Of course it's the real Rachel. Okay, enough chit-chat. Next, I need you to face me, close your eyes and clear your mind. When I need you to open your eyes, you must open them."

"Okay, I'll try my best."

Like a drowning person grasping at a straw, Rachel obediently closed her eyes and tried her best to clear her mind, preventing herself from thinking.

“Good, good boy.” Yang Le nodded, and at the same time pressed the Omnitrix. After a flash of white light, he transformed back into the guy with the lock on his face who didn’t use it easily.

“Okay Rachel, what’s about to happen might be terrible, but it’s all for your own good. I hope you won’t hold a grudge against me afterwards.”

"Open your eyes now."

Rachel heard a sound like a door lock opening, then obediently opened her eyes, and then…

Then she lost consciousness.

...

When Rachel woke up again, she was lying on a soft bed. She got up and looked around and found that she was still lying in a princess bed.

The purple curtains all around her suited Rachel's taste perfectly. She was surprised to find that not only the curtains, but even the bedding was in purple tones that matched her aesthetic.

"How did I get here?" Rachel held her forehead, trying to recall what she had seen when she fainted.

"I only remember meeting a kind person who not only saved me but also offered to temporarily dispel the influence of the Three Palaces Demon. Hiss~"

Rachel rubbed her head. She realized she couldn't remember what happened after that, but she had no marks of injury on her body, which meant she hadn't been attacked.

It's as if her brain is protecting her from reliving that terrible memory. As the saying goes, curiosity killed the cat; often, the more something is forbidden, the more it triggers a person's rebellious instincts.

Rachel was the same; she tried hard to remember what had happened, just when she thought she could.

"Tuk-tuk-tuk."

The gentle knocking caught Rachel's attention. She abandoned the memories she was trying to recall and looked toward the doorway from which the sound came.

"...Please come in."

Yang Le pushed open the door and entered. Rachel breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that it was him. So far, she had a good impression of him. After the death of the goddess of Azeroth, she had rarely seen anyone willing to help her like that.

“I knew you’d be waking up soon,” Yang Le said to Rachel in the gentlest tone he could muster.

"You look pretty good, you must have been sleeping soundly, right?"

Rachel then realized that she hadn't been woken up by the Trigon, but had actually slept until she woke up naturally.

“I can’t believe it.” Rachel looked at her hands. “You actually kept your word, and Trigon really hasn’t bothered me.”

What method did you use?

"It was just that I showed him something scary," Yang Le chuckled.

Yang Le's method of expelling the three palaces seemed simple: to let this vengeful father who was harassing his daughter see Toby's face.

Just as Trigon could use blood ties to entangle Rachel, Yang Le could also use magic to connect a part of their senses.

The side effect is that whatever he wants Trigon to see, Rachel will also see. Fortunately, he managed to stun her with magic before she was overwhelmed by immense fear.

Because Rachel was completely relaxed at the time, Yang Le did it very easily.

However, Sangu Mako wasn't so lucky. He saw Toby's face in its entirety, and judging from the result, he was probably scared and won't be coming out for some time.

Yang Le is most confident in two alien heroes: one is X-Man, and the other is Toby, whose face is completely top-tier.

"You won't want to know, believe me." Yang Le changed the subject and placed the tray he had been holding for a while in front of Rachel.

This consists of two ham sandwiches, some scrambled eggs and pan-fried bacon, plus a glass of milk that magically floats into the air—a classic American breakfast.

However, judging from Rachel's appearance, she probably had never eaten these before, which suggests that the dietary habits of Azeroth are different from those on Earth.

"Eat up, child. You've slept for a whole day and night, your stomach must be rumbling with hunger."

"Thank you." Rachel didn't stand on ceremony; she had indeed been feeling hungry for a while, and Yang Le's actions were like sending charcoal in snowy weather.

"I will find a way to repay you."

"The best way to repay me is if you can avoid falling into the clutches of the Three Palaces Demon." Yang Le waved his hand.

"Eat slowly, there's no rush. If you're still hungry, just let me know. Once you've finished eating and feel rested, we can start class."

"What class?" Rachel asked, putting down her sandwich with milk.

"I'll teach you how to defeat the Three Palace Demon."
