Chapter 1287 Jason Brad and Etrigan
Chapter 1287 Jason Brad and Etrigan
"I didn't mean any harm."
A soft but cool voice came from under the cloak, causing both The Flash, Barry, and Jason Brand to frown.
"Being able to see that proves you have a high level of inspiration, but I'm curious why you seem completely unaware of me, even though I've sent messages to people all over this country."
"Information? What are you talking about?" Jason frowned even more deeply upon hearing this.
"That's strange?" The cloaked figure, or rather Rachel, was no less puzzled than Jason.
"After I left Azeroth, I did indeed use magic to communicate with the more spiritual people in this country. Could it be that someone intercepted my magic?"
"But it's alright, I can introduce myself again. My name is Rachel Ross, and this is my first time on Earth."
"Before this, I lived in a place called Azeroth."
“Azeroth?” Jason stroked his chin. “That other dimension, all magic and justice? Where are you from?”
“Yes, but I’m not actually a native Azerothian,” Rachel continued to explain. “My mother is from Earth. We came to Azeroth to escape a demon.”
"Then why did you come back now?" Jason seized on the blind spot.
"I won't discuss why your mother was able to enter Azeroth, a place that ordinary people could never know in their lifetime. Since you went there to escape demons, why did you come back?"
“Because the people of Azeroth can no longer offer me refuge.” Rachel’s cool tone carried a hint of melancholy.
"The goddess of Azeroth has passed away, and the demons who coveted me were too powerful, so I was sent back to Earth."
“That’s impossible.” Jason shook his head. “Azeroth is a higher dimension beyond the universe. The magic used by the people there is far beyond the imagination of Earth mages. Few demons are not afraid of them.”
“Just as you said, there are very few.” Rachel’s voice trembled. “There just happens to be a demon who not only has no fear of Azeroth, but also wants to take over all the universes.”
"I don't know if you've ever heard of the name Sangu Mako."
As soon as Rachel uttered the name, her body shrank considerably, and from the suppressed groans that followed, it was clear that she was enduring some kind of pain.
Jason's expression changed drastically upon hearing the name Sangokumo, and he stared blankly at the bewildered Flash beside him.
"Is this Sangu Demon very powerful?"
To figure out what was going on, the Flash stopped moving at high speed, which startled Jason and Rachel.
"It's you." Jason lowered his guard when he saw that it was The Flash.
"Sangokuma is a terrifying demon. He possesses the power to easily destroy the world. I will explain the details later. For now, let's deal with the immediate problem."
After saying that, Jason ignored The Flash and turned to look at Rachel again.
"You mean, you've been targeted by the Demon King Sangu? But why?"
"It's a long story," Rachel said with a wry smile, and then recounted her background.
This immediately garnered the Flash's sympathy. As the conscience of the Justice League, he was far kinder than rumored; otherwise, with his speed power, he would have been dead before the enemy even saw him. However, the Flash knew nothing about demons and magic, so he decided to ask Rachel for her opinion. Unexpectedly, her attitude was completely different from his.
"Shed, shed your mortal form, awaken, demon Etrigan!"
Without any warning, Jason directly recited the summoning spell for the great demon Etrigan hidden within his body. As he chanted the spell, blazing flames began to burn on his body.
Soon, flames engulfed Jason's entire body. Moments later, a pair of bright yellow claws tore through the flames, and a large, ugly demon replaced Jason Brad, appearing before him.
"What?" The Flash quickly cleared away the surrounding pedestrians to prevent them from being affected by the Demon Knight's flames.
"Etrigan? But why?"
The Flash had observed the area while evacuating the crowd and found no supervillains he recognized or had heard of. He didn't know why Jason was chanting a spell to summon Etrigan.
"Humans are unaware of the power of the Three Palaces Demon; they will only realize their mistake when it descends upon them."
Etrigan opened his blood-red maw and began to criticize the Flash's ignorance.
Unlike the latter, Etrigan knew exactly how terrifying the Trigon was, and in fact, he was related to the Trigon by blood.
Etrigan's father was a great demon named Belial, and Etrigan's fire-breathing ability was inherited from his father. Belial was one of the countless children of the Triglavian Demon.
Sangoku Makoto was no saint; his politics were accompanied by fire, blood, and lust. To consolidate his rule, he probably fathered so many children that he himself couldn't even remember them all.
But it doesn't matter, Sangu Mako himself will also deal with some useless children or those who dare to rebel against him from time to time.
They were able to control the population by simultaneously giving birth and killing.
No matter how glamorous they may seem on the surface, any offspring of the Three Palaces Demon always live a life of extreme caution, because they all know that their survival depends entirely on the Three Palaces Demon's will.
That is why Etrigan is well aware of the terror of the Trigon. Although he is currently trapped in a person's body, he is doing quite well. If the Trigon were to descend upon him, his good days would be over.
Therefore, Etrigan absolutely cannot allow this to happen, and in Jason and Etrigan's view, the best way is to kill the key that allows the Trinity Demon to descend.
"call!"
Etrigan opened his gaping maw, and a burst of flame shot out, burning towards Rachel.
Rachel had been prepared since Etrigan's arrival, so she erected a magical barrier before the flames reached her.
This is the magic she learned in Azeroth. In order to suppress the influence of the Trigon Demon on her, she generally does not use her own power easily.
However, Etrigan's flames are no ordinary flames; they are hellfire that can burn everything, including magic.
Rachel quickly realized that the barrier was about to collapse, so she increased her magic output to push the barrier forward and then flew away from the spot.
"Desperados have nowhere to run!"
Etrigan leaped off the ground with a powerful burst of energy, charging towards Rachel. He jumped so high it was as if he were flying.
